I’ve passed it before and never stopped. I finally made a special trip b/c i had been wanting Gigi’s lemon supreme. I finally decided to try something new and I tasted the cupcakes and it wasn’t what I expected. I’m sorry but I won’t spend my $$ on them again. I was hoping they were good but ill just have to make that long drive to GiGis. I hope the Auburn one is as good as the Hoover location

So much variety and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Just the right amount of frosting(which is super tasty), not too little and not too much. A great little place to get a sweet Valentine’s or birthday treat!

Strawberry is my favorite! The icing on the other flavors seems to be a bit too much of sweetness and one flavor. Filled cupcakes or a mixture of frosting would be fabulous.

When you step inside Smallcakes, be prepared for pink. Lots of pink. Smallcakes is a chain so that’s tiny negative, but they’re still tasty and don’t wallop grotesque amounts of frosting atop their cupped cakes. The gal manning the counter said her favorite was strawberry which is what I ended up getting. Yum. Each cupcake is $ 3.50. My cupcake was moist and sweet but not grossly so. I did like how they give you a bowl and fork for easier eating but the bowl was Styrofoam. I might suggest a few funkier offerings since 80% of the cupcakes seemed to be some riff on chocolate. I’d also suggest maybe selling minis. I was in a greedy mode and wanted another cupcake but thought one whole one more was a tad too much. Nice atmosphere for a sweet treat with friends. The couch was a comfy spot for chilling. Smallcakes’s slogan is «Maybe a cupcake will help?» and the answer to that question is always yes!
