We loved this place so much we ate there twice. Once after a hike in Oracle State Park and the other after visiting Biosphere 2. The building is decorated with art works for sale by local artists. The food and service were great. Don’t drive by, just stop and have a piece of pie if you are not hungry for a meal.

A funky fun and delicious place to eat. Try the organic smoothies and panini’s. Just delicious and healthy. The décor is noteworthy and makes you want to enjoy the food even more. The chef and waitstaff are super kind and helpful. Oracle is off the beaten track but easy to get to from the highway. GO! You won’t regret it. My friends didn’t want to go in since from the outside it looks like a saloon from the old days, but another glance and you get a totally different picture.

A fun place to have lunch after going to Biosphere 2. Chilies relleno was fabulous also the hot and sour soup was homemade and lots of flavor. Everyone was nice and made us feel like family. Would go back again.

Great sandwiches! The fruit pie tasted like it had too much flour in it. A little too doughey and light on the berry taste. I would try another pie next time. I would definitely come back. The entire staff was pleasant and fun to interact with them.

Found this on our way to Biosphere 2. Definitely worth stopping at for breakfast. The special was Chile Relleno with Eggs. I tried it and am hooked. It was EXCELLENT. I will be driving the 40 miles once a month to enjoy breakfast here. Our waitress, Liz, made our visit special. She was very friendly and a cornucopia of local knowledge.

Don’t go if you have food allergies! When I went the first thing I asked before ordering was if a dish could be made to fit my food-allergy restrictions, server said yes. I waited and was served something clearly coated in cheese and the server said he would have the chef re-make it. I gave him a friendly reminder that butter is dairy and to make sure there was no butter. I was told«the chef cooks everything in butter» and was brought a new dish I was told was cooked with oil instead and«I hope we don’t poison you.» The next three days of misery told me the restaurant did not take my food allergy seriously. Food allergy aside, my personal opinion is that a chef who relies on butter for everything may not be that skilled of a chef. I’d rather someone tell me flat out they don’t know than hope for the best or be confident in ignorance when it comes to allergies.

Best food in Arizona. High quality ingredients. Familiar but creative cooking such as home made hash and choose your own ingredients frittata. Savory strawberry rhubarb pie. Decorations beautiful chairs very comfortable. I wish I could eat 3 more meals here on our trip

The Patio Café is a real gem in the heart of Oracle. The chef is amazing and the service is outstanding. The café is always full of happy, joyous people which is always uplifting.

Food was delicious – I had the meatloaf panini with homemade pickle and a side salad. The service was slow and I received the wrong kind of salad, but it was very tasty anyway, and I was not in a huge rush. I also really appreciated the free wifi since my cell phone service was iffy in Oracle. I was really grateful for a nice place like the Oracle Café while I was in town.

We came across the Patio Café by accident while we were exploring a nearby section of the Arizona Trail. What a great discovery! The back patio is a nicely landscaped and decorated with eclectic artwork, the food is exceptional and the waiters are friendly and helpful. We’ll go out of our way to eat here again.

This was a pleasant surprise. First off, a warning: If you’re using your GPS to get here, it’s probably a bit off. Ours was, at least, and it looks like Google and Unilocal have some confusion over the actual address. Just keep driving, and you’ll see it — there’s not a lot else around. Like I said, this was a pleasant surprise. The place is a little odd — it looks like it was originally a home, and it was converted. The area behind the place serves as a patio and storage area for a bunch of derelict furniture. I’m not sure what the deal is with that, but even so, it’s pretty nice when there’s a breeze. They have plenty of shade, and some crazy decorations that are interesting if nothing else. The food itself was pretty great — not overly exceptional, but good, and if you consider you’re in the middle of nowhere, it’s pretty awesome. The ingredients seem to be of high quality, and the menu options are significantly diverse. The people are friendly and the service was good. I suspect it gets slow when an unexpected influx of tourists come in, but if you’re in this area of the world, you probably don’t have a tight schedule to adhere to, so settle down.

Was in Oracle visiting family and went here on the way back home. We didn’t realize it at the time, but they were 30 minutes before closing, but you would never know it. All menu items were available, and the service was top notch. The food was amazing, the menu varied, and they easily accommodated my vegan diet, pointing out items on the menu that were vegan or could be modified. We sat out on the patio in the best October weather. We ended the meal with the best tart cherry almond pie I’ve ever had.(Not vegan, but I’m only 90% vegan :) I even bought a pair of really cool earrings there — they have a case of jewelry there made by a local artist. Bottom line, you have to go here.

This place is absolutely amazing. We were out here in Oracle camped out for a javelina hunt and decided to venture into town. This place is an absolute gem. Very quaint, we sat in the back patio. I ordered the chicken piadini, and I added kalamata olives, my boyfriend got the café breakfast. I also got mine gluten free. A gluten free piadina, and they made the dough theirselves!!! It was absolutely to die for. And the boyfriends breakfast was amazing, big portions, beautiful biscuit with fresh honey and 3 slices of huge meaty bacon. The coffee was so delicious also. The chef came and asked us how everything was. It was an almost perfect experience, besides needing to hunt down our waitress a few times who seemed to want to play on her phone. I wish I lived near this place!!! This is a must visit when near Oracle. We will definitely be back!!!

Yum and great service. I had the chicken, pesto, artichoke and mushroom frittata and it was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. My mom had the chicken sandwich which she said was great. We shared a piece of warm peach pie which really hit the spot. The customer service was excellent and our poor service ran outside to give me back my scarf I had left behind… so sweet considering it was pouring rain. Next I’m in town I will be back to try a panini

Phenomenal food and a fun, funky atmosphere. I want to go back and have a few more items from the menu – we had brunch, so were able to order off the breakfast or lunch menus. Two of us drank the house iced tea, which was unlike any tea I’ve had before(and you’re reading the post of someone who has an entire shelf in her pantry dedicated to tea, as well as digital thermometers and special pots for heating water). The third person had coffee and reported it to be AWFUL. I had a chicken caesar piadini, which was a flatbread with yummy fresh-roasted garlic, topped with a fresh chicken caesar salad. The dressing tasted homemade, and it was the perfect size. Someone else with me had the quiche of the day, which was delicious. I can’t remember the third person’s order, but he was happy with it. For dessert, we shared a piece of homemade strawberry rhubarb pie with homemade whipped cream and I have to say that it was just about the best pie I’ve had. 4⁄5 for three reasons: 1. Service was inordinately slow. It’s a small-town restaurant, I know. But still. 2. They had a lot of really cool local artwork on the walls, which I loved, and also a library, which is a really cool idea. However, if you have a library in a restaurant, you need to dust in there daily. It was pretty gross. 3. Parking SUCKS! Beware! I’d recommend it to you if you’re not starving(all the portions were smaller than what you’d see at a typical American restaurant), and if you’re not in a super rush. It also might be a cool place to find that funky gift for your one friend who’s impossible to shop for, but who loves weird art.

Boy was I surprised by how much I loved this place. I LOVEITSOMUCH. We were out in the middle of nowhere(Biosphere 2). Instead of going to the city to eat, we decided we were just too hungry after spending an hour and a half talking about plants, so we decided to eat here. I feel so lucky I did. I decided to order the salmon with bacon and onions. It sounds pretty typical. But when I ate it I was in heaven. Rarely when you eat fish at a restaurant does it melt in your mouth. This did. They can cook a mean fish. Impressed. I was totally full by that point but everyone on Unilocal mentioned that you have to order dessert. Thank you Unilocalers for the advice because if I didn’t know this, I would have passed by the best cake/pie I have ever eaten. Yes, you heard right. Their gluten free /dairy free coconut cake was maybe the best cake I have eaten in my 28 years of being.(I’m not sure if I would rank it #1 or #2). I don’t care if something is gluten free or dairy free. I just care if it’s yummy. And yes it was. I could barely keep myself together that first bite, it was so good. I don’t want to over hype anything(because part of the awesomeness of this spot is no expectations). But, I do encourage you to try this place out if you’re in the area(maybe if you’re also not in the area).

We like this place. It is a hole in the wall restaurant but those are the best kind usually. We stopped by one morning for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and the service. It was your typical small town restaurant where the locals stop in regularily. The service was good too.
