Tijuana Flats

Tijuana Flats is pretty consistently Tex Mex no matter which location you visit. Their food tastes good, they have massive portions, and the prices are reasonable for a quick service restaurant. This location is often busy, catering to the post-​sports games crowds and families grabbing a bit to eat during the week. Staff here is consistently friendly and helpful… the sort that anticipate the needs of the uninitiated but still warm and welcoming to the old pros of the TF concept.
My only issue is that I feel like the portions of carnitas on the nachos have gone down over the years. When we used to go to the Casselberry location 10 years ago, before TF grew to what it is today, the nachos were a sizeable portion, generous enough to share with two. Now, the dish and the chips are still super generous, but the chips with a decent portion of meat/​cheese have gone way down. I get food costs (especially pork) have gone up since then, but for the price, I’d like the option of getting half the chips but twice the meat/​cheese.

Terrible experience. We went for burrito night and paid entirely too much. I ordered the carnitas burrito and got a tortilla filled with lettuce and tomato. There was no more meat than I could fill a thimble with. RIP OFF. You will not see me or my family again.

First time at a Tijuana Flats but won’t be the last. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I had the flautas and they were crazy good. The service at this location was fantastic. Attentive but not overbearing. When we were ready to go they brought us fresh chips and topped off our queso that we’d ordered. Kids liked the apple juice and M&M options with their meals. We were just passing through Orange City but wouldn’t hesitate to come here again.

Lots of food, too much food really. The flavor starting getting a bit much after a while.
I’m a fan of mexican & texmex and this place was ok. Just ok though. I havent been back, not since I tried Lime.

Not a great place to eat but if you want to kick back with a beer and chips and talk a bit it’s fine, some of the fry foods too greasy and not so tasty, servers are friendly and accommodating to your food need. Not a great place for Mexican but a nice place to grab chips and salsa or cheese sauce

Taco TuesDaze is the best. Great food, good service and cold beer.

I visited this place while on vacation. Very good food! Tons of sauce options and the tacos are huge! On Tuesday they have a special for 2 tacos, chips and a drink for $ 5. Can’t wait to go back.

One thing that I love about T Flats is that they are always consistent no matter what location you go too. I usually go on Tuesdays with my friends for taco Tuezday and although the line is usually out the door they bust through the line like it’s nothing.
I really love the fresh ingredients that they use and their chips are to die for.

My friends are always raving about how wonderful Tijuana flats is so I decided I’d finally give them a try. This location was my first and maybe last experience. I ordered a burrito that came out cold and basically empty. I had ordered to-​go so maybe that’s why it was prepared so haphazardly. They must have assumed that by the time I realized it was prepared so terribly I would already be far enough away that it wouldn’t matter, they were right. I didn’t return or complain but I definitely haven’t been back. It’s really a shame because everyone I know says they have the best queso.

Great food and wonderful service. The manager has checked how our food was every time we have been there. I’ve been to several other Tijuana Flats locations but this one has had the best service and largest portions consistently.
Keep up the good work and I’ll keep making my weekly visits to your restaurant.

Heading home from a week in Kissimmee, and having fair dining experiences, we stopped in Orange City Fl. for a quick meal. We all like tex-​mex food so we stopped at the Tijuana Flats on Saxon Blvd. Had dogs with us so we grabbed a table outside. Didn’t know you had to order inside but was no problem. Super nice young lady came outside and explained that to us and she also took our drink orders and brought us chips and salsa! I’m impressed already. We went in and placed our orders and when ready they brought them to our table. One of the other staff brought a bowl of water out for our dogs without us asking! Food was fast, exactly what we ordered and delicious! Staff was outstanding! Every staff member was friendly and really hustling around to serve customers. I met Joshua, the asst. GM and told him of our experience and he came out to meet my family and thank us for eating there. Gotta say we will be going back there on our next trip to Florida. If you are on 95 south stop by and see them! You’ll be glad you did. Awesome experience!

Great service. Very friendly. Made sure I had a better carrying container for my sauces without me asking. Food was fresh and delicious. Bravo. I will be returning here often. Great deal on the taco Tuesday special.

Enjoy it very much. Especially the banging chicken. Add jalapeños, wheat wrap, remove the cream sauce and it’s a home run. Nice selection of hotels sauces and chips are served with your dish. Fast and friendly

Not so great experience. Food great as usual but help was not friendly at all. Guess thats FL for you. Been to better ones.

Stopped in to place to go order, first time here and the selection was good between the Norrito bowl, the Mahi Mahi salad, my chimichanga, and the kiddie quesadilla– there was something for everyone. The cashier was so quick with processing our order and offering add ons — super friendly. Savannah’s service was so solid I gave her my work contact info if she ever wanted to work in my field. Great visit everyone loved dinner. Very satisfied.

I don’t give out many 5-​stars and generally wouldn’t consider it for a fast-​food place, but, this place rocks! First, was the service. The two young ladies who helped us were very, very professional, polite and attentive… something you don’t find amongst the really younger servers these days. I hate to say it but, these young women were EXCELLENT servers. This was in Mid-​October, right after the main lunch rush. I can’t get it out of my mind, how professional and helpful these young ladies were. The food? Wow, I was impressed. For fast food? It was nice and warm and fresh and best of all, it WAS GOOD! Very tasty. I was very, very pleased with my visit here and came to find out, it was one of my brother’s favorite places too. I will definitely be back.

I dig this Tijuana Flats… clean, friendly service, good food. I was glad when they opened this location, as the next closest one to me is all the way in Lake Mary. Really my only complaint is that it’s hard to get in to the parking lot if you’re on the opposite side of the street. You have to turn in to the plaza next door and drive through their parking lot. Kind of a pain.
If you’re not familiar with Tijuana Flats, it’s a Tex-​Mex chain that started in Central Florida 15 to 20 years ago and has now spread throughout the country. If you live in the Orlando area, then it’s safe to say you’ve been to a Tijuana Flats… they’re pretty popular round here. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like Tijuana Flats. But what’s not to like? It’s yummy food at a cheaper price… can’t go wrong with that! One of the things they’re known for is the hot sauce bar. There are several of different heat levels to choose from, and most have clever, yet raunchy names. My personal favorite is the Smack My Ass Jalepeno. Make sure to stop by on a Tuesday for Taco Tuesday… you get two tacos, chips and a drink for $ 4.99. Great deal!

Look, TF is what it has always been. Inexpensive extensive tex-​mex menu. Good food fast. Lots of flavor, freshly prepared, good ingredients, excellent service and OMG the hot sauces. Its very very casual, simple beer and wine, mostly wear your flip flops, t shirt and eat with your fingers. But the Orange City location is especially great. A very clean and comfortable restaurant with the most friendly staff imaginable. If Betsy is there (and she usually is) ask her about the specials, the preparations and even catering for your party. She’s wonderful and makes the place a joy.
So if you’re in the OC (Orange City) skip the burger joints that dot the landscape and go see Betsy for something better. TF brings the flavor and BRINGS THE HEAT!

It’s a good place to have TexMex-​esque fast food at a decent price. Better quality than taco bell.
For some reason, and this is my only complaint, the food is always cold by the time I get home (5 – 10 minutes away).
Definitely try the hot sauce bar. Blackened chicken is the bomb-​dizzle on my tacos.

and free beer Wednesdays I believe.

I love this place. It’s clean, it’s well organized, and the customer service is out of this world. The Smack My Ass And Call Me Sally habanero sauce is the ace in the hole at every Tijuana Flats. I really love everything I’ve had here, including the black bean burrito today (see pic).
What sets this Flats apart from the other ones that I’ve been to is the customer service. Everyone is extremely pleasant, from the greeter to the cashiers to the people walking around refilling your drink to the manager walking around checking that everything is up to your expectations. It really is great experience to get your burrito/​taco/​flauta/​chimichanga fix here.
The churros rock too, fyi.
