My office away from home. Much more than you would expect for a public library in Orange Park. Good selection of daily papers including NY Times, great current magazine selection as well as books on CD and an extensive DVD selection They seem to be big on John Wayne around here. Very clean, the air conditioning works, there’s a children’s library and a computer lab with 25 stations, and it fills up fast but with a library card you can reserve a spot. You just need something with an Orange Park address on it. Lots of comfortable lounge chairs and worktables with plenty of power outlets on the floor. Bring your own laptop or tablet, the WiFi runs at 5.5Mbps and thats pretty quick for public access, and there is no Login required. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I always make sure to take advantage of this facility while I’m visiting, they have everything you need… except printers but thats understandable.

Our favorite branch of the clay county library system. Love the staff here! Great selection of kids books. Usually very quiet. They plan so many activities for the kids and you feel like family when you arrive.

I’ve been visiting this library for the entire time I’ve lived in Florida(20 some odd years) and I love it. The place has been reorganized and remodeled since the days when I visited more frequently. Since the Fleming Island branch opened a few years back, my visits to this location have become more infrequent but I still prefer this location. They have a lot of little quiet areas towards the back to sit and get work done. They also have computers that you can use and magazines and newspapers to read. I haven’t been in the kids’ area in years and I’m not sure if they still have as many story time programs as they once did. Occasionally«friends of the OP library» will do book sales in the lobby area but even when there is not an official book sale, there are shelves of books and magazines with a little box where you can drop cash for them. The staff is generally very friendly, too. My only real complaint is a complaint with the entire Clay County library system and that is the lack of an ebook network for borrowing(Duval County has one that is pretty cool).

Update: As homeschoolers, we are having difficulty utilizing space within the library. Scheduling is limited to registered nonprofits., which most homeschool groups are not. Miss Savannah is no longer doing the book club either. A little dated, but staff is very friendly and helpful. Miss Savannah runs a wonderful Young Adult club as well!
