Just started jiu jitsu. Anyone knows that the hardest part about starting a new sport/hobby/activity is getting past that beginners hump and accepting that you’re gonna suck. Having the guts to just show up for class basically… Never felt so welcomed by a group of people(guys and girls). Highly recommend you check them out. Check the website for most up to date class schedules! Call Andy and he will get you started with some free classes. It will be the best decision you ever made, but I warn you, be prepared to get addicted!

Of the three locations here in OC, this is my favorite. It’s also the smallest, which I love!!! I enjoy the more refined space, the cage surrounded the walls, the arrangement of the mat placements. It feels very personal. The couches here hold you and more importantly themselves to higher standard. They expect you to show up, you can expect them to teach and nurture your development. If they don’t meet your standards, they hold themselves personally accountable, and I like that a lot. It shows they really care about their students. The 10th planet system harbors some of the best martial artists in the world, and I’m convinced every session that I’m pushing myself closer and closer to a level beyond what I ever dreamed I could be. Everyone is welcome. EVERYONE. Don’t be intimidated, be excited.

I went training the first time a couple weekends ago and it was great! I came because later that Saturday night they were hosting the fights for free later that night. They had a huge crowd, 50 – 60 so a definite enthusiastic and friendly mma /jits/kickboxing /cross-fit type of community with weekly events. First time learning jiu jitsu with Coach Mike Frausto, and I left with two arm bar escapes that are going to become a part of my game! Excellent techniques and coaching from him. There’s other great coaches that teach there too who I’ve taken classes from. This is a large school with a great variety of fitness and combat sports programs!

When I first joined a couple months back the coaches and the rest of the team where very welcoming. The vibe at 10th Planet is fun and the training will get you sweating and in the zone. Best deal you get 3 schools and all the coaches are cool dudes with raditude. You will gain jiu jitsu knowledge and drop some weight. Do something fun, challenging and cerebral. Just Do It. Nike did.

10th Planet Orange is one of the top 3 martial arts schools in Orange County, the other two being 10th Planet Costa Mesa and 10th Planet Buena Park. When you join either one you get access to all three schools for the same low price. That might just be the best martial arts program in all of California. They offer Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, and MMA. They also have a great fundamentals program for beginners. They offer kids classes for those who want to get their kids started in a martial art or are looking to keep them active. The coaching staff here is amazing. The atmosphere is awesome at all three facilities with some of the best training partners you will find anywhere. Drop by and check it out. Joining this school might be the best thing you ever do in your life.

Add another fantastic 10th planet to the list! If you’ve been to a 10th planet before then you know the amazing family vibe you get once you are in those doors. If you’ve never been to a 10th planet then it’s about time to get your roll on. Many jiu jitsu school are super intimidating and not beginner friendly, but everything changers here. They aren’t after your cash and don’t want to make you feel like an idiot when you don’t know something. I’ve been to other places and no one makes you feel as welcomed as a 10th planet does. If you are looking for some jiu jitsu, mma training, or kick boxing(they offer Multiple types of classes) or are just looking for a life change then you owe it to yourself to at least give it a shot. The first few classes are free and they are t looking to trap you in a contract. Worst thing that happens is you become a little better as a human

Damn, what can I say about 10th Planet Orange? Do you like feeling good about yourself? Do you like being strong and becoming a better person? Do you like being around lovely people that want to help you grow as a person? If you said no to any of these then stay away, this is the place to learn, grow and meet some seriously awesome people. Come learn the most effective martial art and more importantly become a better person. You won’t regret it. The best time to start jiu jitsu was yesterday.

I have never competed in Jiu Jitsu tournaments or mixed martial arts; however, speaking from experience in physical confrontations involving real world scenarios(10 years in law enforcement) I can attest to the 10th planet system. I don’t get in as much as I’d like to due to my schedule; however, learning«just the basics» under coaches Ron Turner, Casey Halstead, and Matt Salinas has been enough to assist me in controlling my opponent(s) and prevailing in more than one situation in which the stakes were ALWAYS higher than a merely winning a trophy or a medal. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better to be a member of the 10th planet Costa Mesa/Buena Park family, they opened the doors to another badass location! With numerous classes at 3 locations, even I don’t have an excuse not to train more! Do yourself a favor and start at 10th planet, yesterday.

Been training for a few months here. I love the friendly atmosphere. You’re immediately greeted by the coaches and students. These guys are all top notch. There’s no Ego here. It’s all about the art. Three locations working as one gym(Costa Mesa, Buena Park, & Orange) you can’t beat that. 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu is my family

These guys really know their stuff! From the day I walked in, the coaches here made me feel comfortable and welcomed. They emphasize the importance of just showing up and doing work in order to be successful. The system they use is no gi and works on the mat and in self-defense, so it’s especially great for women to get in and do this. All ages and walks of life are welcome, so bring the kiddos! Come to this gym if you want to start feeling better about yourself mentally and physically; if you want to get challenged to work hard and get results; if you want to make friends that become more like family; if you want to change your life… this is the place to be.
