If u want good food may I suggest Pitt Stop on Central ave. I worked in the area and greatly prefer Pitt Stop hands down

It’s just like carribean food, but not good.
very little meat on the ox tails, and they were dry. The peas didn’t have much flavor. The rice wasn’t too bad, but all in all it just wasn’t up to par.
They don’t have heat either, so you might want to save your trip there for the summer.

I have been coming to Alice’s for a few years now and I’m still a fan. This is close to authentic Jamaican cuisine as you can get. It’s family owned, the staff are friendly, and the prices are reasonable. What I order from Alice’s is usually their stew chicken w/​rice and peas, oxtail rice and peas, ackee and saltfish with fried dumpling and goat. The only bad thing us there’s only parking on the street and its metered. But other than that check it out.
