I have been a loyal patron for a few years now. All of my cars that are out of warranty are serviced here. The staff is friendly, the owner is a stand up guy, and the techs are well trained. The attention to detail is wonderful. And, they don’t try on sell you on unnecessary stuff — just what you need at a fair price. They use quality parts and I keep coming back again and again.
A while back I had the serpentine belt replaced — along with a squeaky pulley. After a few months, the belt started wearing strangely. The belt shredded a bit later because Auto Pros did not put the guide wheel back on with the proper spacer. The belt was only partially on the wheel. My first belt lasted well over 100k miles. The one they put on — the same factory part — only lasted a year or so. I am very disappointed and, they took care of their error. I am happy with how they responded to the issue.

There we were: On vacation. 500 miles from home. We are towing an 11 000 lb travel trailer
We parked our trailer at Orangeland RV park and spent a week driving our truck back and forth to Huntington Beach.
On late Saturday afternoon on Labor Day Weekend as we were driving on Beach Blvd all of a sudden no brakes — no power steering — and instant overheating! We barely got off the road safely.
What do you do when everything is closed???
Sitting ducks for a repair ripoff? Ya think?
We got towed back to the RV park and started checking reviews on Unilocal and dialing. Nobody open. No answers.
My wife dialed Auto Pros and a guy named Sam actually answered. He was closed but said to tow in on Tuesday at 7:00am and he would get right on it.
I met Sam at 7:00 and he understood our predicament. My family was stranded without the truck and this was our vacation.
At 9:00 Sam called and explained what had happened to the truck and gave me a FAIR estimate and it would be ready by 5:00.
At 4:00 Sam called and added a new belt.
I picked the truck up at 5:00.
New water pump and pulley
New Tensioner
New serpentine belt.
Total $ 700.00
We finished our vacation and pulled our trailer to home sweet home without any problems.

Poor repair. I won’t use them again. My car was running out of water so i took it to them. I had used this place when someone else owned it. So they tested it and my head gasket was bad. Ok, fix it. Got the car back 3 weeks later. Grill is broken. Dip stick is broken. Plastic under the radio is broken. Engine cover is broken. Water problem is fixed. When i start the car ½ the time it idles at 1000 rpm and won’t drive. The other ½ the time it idles at 600 rpm and does fine. I have to turn the car off and back on if it idles at 1000. Cost $ 2500. The car is only worth about that. I said that i would be better off trading it in and using the $ 2500 on a new one. Cedric insisted i fix it.

We were lucky to recieve a recommendation from AAA to Auto Pro’s when our car broke down in the city of Orange. Sam and his team of professional’s did an fantastic job of diagnosis and getting us back on the road again very quickly. Was referred here to replace my brakes, and had an excellent experience. Cedric was helpful, friendly, and gave me a great price to replace my front brakes and rotor. The service was quick and efficient and I am very happy with the work that was done. Will definitely be referring everyone I know here for auto repair work.

There is no world where replacing a starter for an old japanese car costs $ 600. Let’s agree on that premise.
When my wife’s car broke down, she called AAA and asked the driver for a AAA approved auto shop. That’s the first mistake, you have to ask the dispatcher on the phone. The driver sent her here, which is not approved. This was Friday. Saturday she gets a call quoting $ 360 to fix the starter, including a $ 200 part. When I tried to ask about the cost of this part for a 2003 eclipse, I got pushback about the integrity of an $ 100 part and decided to back out off my wife’s business. I estimated this job should have been about $ 100 for the part and $ 200 in labor, so $ 360 wasn’t so bad and hey maybe AAA approved shops are a little more for a guaranteed job.
Tuesday I drive her to work to pick the car up at 8am. We’re informed by Cedric that there is a secondary issue with oil dropping onto the starter which is what shorted out the first one and caused this problem in the first place. I found it interesting that we didn’t hear about the problem before this work was done, because although I can understand the argument for a more reliable part, installing it with known danger and a prior cause seems at best STUPID and at worst, a built in reason to charge double for labor to open the car up again at a later date. We were warned to get that fixed pronto and quoted $ 400 for the repair.
Cedric then spent a good 15 minutes at the computer working up a bill for us. My wife was late for work and there was another delivery man who was waiting on Cedric to finish messing with the numbers until we got our bill. Cedric was very proud to tell us that we got $ 40 AAA discount plus $ 100 off. I’m not sure I’ve ever waited this long to just pick up a car and have someone get me a bill. Now, I realize we got taken for a ride (pun intended) and Cedric was fudging our bill.
The bill lists we paid $ 218 for a remanufactured starter, and the only other listed charge was for «car will not turn over» no hourly labor breakdown, but I’d say two hours at $ 100 is reasonable.
All in all, the bill came to $ 460 with ‘generous’ discounts of $ 140 which means this car cost $ 600 to replace with a remanufactured starter and the problem that broke the first starter is still present.
In the history books of mechanic scams and taking advantage of women who may be in a hurry to get to work and in a jam to get their car fixed, this takes the cake. I called AAA immediately, at which point they told me this shop wasn’t on their list…
So, I’m my book, any mechanic I’ve never dealt with has more credibility than this one. Congratulations on taking advantage. The other reviewers here must have dealt with someone else or maybe they were purchased reviews. This one is real.

I am a new resident in Orange County, and was skeptical about where to take my car when It had its first issues down here.
This was the best communication I have ever experienced with an auto shop. The mechanic who worked on my BMW 325i, Cedric, was very accommodating and clear in the diagnosis of my car’s symptoms. He kept me updated by phone call on the service it was receiving, and had my car fixed and back to me before the day was over. I will be taking my car here for any future mechanic work, and highly recommend AutoPros to everyone.
