just ate lunch here with my dad, what a gem of a sandwich shop! I had the vegetarian wrap, and he had the egg salad on squaw. both were delicious and the portions were very generous for the price. the behind the counter homemade iced tea was excellent as well. plenty of indoor seating and very clean! will be coming back for sure.

Good healthy sandwich for the area that is around here. Call a head and they will have it ready for you. Stuck in a corner by Kragen auto parts. #36 turkey, avocado, cheese«Turkado» is what I had! I will be back…

Ambiance is sub par, but had a great sandwich(#33) with chips and a drink for $ 10. That’s the cost of a lot of sandwich combos at other spots and I thought the quality here was better. Will definitely be back!

DON’T do it. It’s the same thing as what you can make at home for ridiculous prices. It’s dirty and in disrepair. 19 different menus that you can’t understand and look like a kindergardener made them.

So. Not to be snobby but I make better sandwiches at home. They were average. Better than subway and good flavors. The décor is well… interesting. The service was with a smile and very pleasant.

This place makes amazing sandwiches. Everyone at our office goes there. Stacks of meat delicious sqaw bread. obviously my favorite is #36 The Turkado. Plus I recently tried the chicken and rice soup and that was delicious! I apologize for the bad soup pic I had dug into it before I had a chance to photo it … there’s broken crackers in it. Haha.

Work couple blocks away and go frequently to lunch and amazed every time at the freshness and quality of the sandwich! They offer a variety of healthy options as well! Ordered almost everything off the menu and have no complaints, must check this place out!

Ok, was driving down the street on a Saturday at 6pm looking for a place for lunch and I spot this place the OPEN sign was turned off but the door was open. I walked up and asked if they were open and they said yes, later they explained they were closed but was working. I asked for recommendations the man wasn’t very helpful but they lady came from the back and started making recommendations. She was really nice making sure it was made the way I wanted.(I’m picky) I got back to work and sat down to eat, I was a little worried that I wasn’t going to like it. To my surprise it was awsome, I’m going back on Monday to try something eles.

Great place to have a sandwhich freshly made. My wife has been going there since 2011. She took me today for the fist time and we enjoyed everything. Its always the same employees(mom, pop, and daughter). so we understand that mom must keep order in her kitchen. They were really sweet with us and they made us feel like we were at their home having breakfast. Everything made fresh as you order. Food was delicious.

This review is from my visit on ¾/15. My first time eating here and boy am I happy I tried this place. I had the large tuna salad for $ 5.99 on a French roll. The sandwich came with carrot, sprout, tomato and lettuce and it was delicious! With a bag of chips and a regular coke it was $ 10 or $ 11 bucks I really don’t remember. The cute Asian chick with glasses help me out at the counter and was very helpful! The inside of this place is dated but did not affect how tasty my sandwich was! I was gonna take a picture of it but I was so hungry and happy that it looked so good that I started munching on it as soon as I could. They have patio seating if you want to eat outside. I will be back to eat here again and maybe I’ll try something else, but when I get something I like I don’t try much else. I’m so happy to find a place with that mom and pop feel to it so close to my work. A good lunch break indeed.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s cheap, a block from my house, and very very mom and pop owned. I would LOVE to be able to support a local business like this, but they just do not have it together. I’ve been in four or five times, and I’m pretty much done giving them chances. Pros: The sandwiches they offer are actually really good. A lot of variety from hot/cold/healthy/vegetarian/etc. and many include fresh avocado without charging extra, which is always a plus! The squaw bread is especially tasty and unique. Never left with a sandwich I didn’t enjoy, so props on their product. Cons: The customer service made me feel incredibly uncomfortable every time. The last time I was in I walked up to the register and awkwardly stood there for about 3 minutes while a woman(the manager?) yelled at an employee in a language I did not understand to the point of tears. Yeah no, if that’s how you treat your employees, I can only imagine how you are going to treat me. And if you need to scold an employee, don’t do it in front of the customer you are ignoring. It’s just rude and awkward! Besides that, the people taking the orders never felt like they knew what food they had to offer. Every time I ordered an item off the menu, the person at the register would look incredibly confused, like they’d never heard of it. Once I asked to substitute a different bread and the girl looked at me like I asked her to give me her first born son. Maybe spend less time yelling at your employees and more time coaching them on product knowledge. Finally, I’ve been in gas station convenience stores with better upkeep. Everything feels really run down and dirty and sticky. The Soda/ice machine is perpetually broken. Overall, not the kind of place I want to order food from.

Small place, needs some maintenance, esp bathroom! good food and service. Had the chicken salad sandwich which was recommended by the lady behind the counter last visit. Very good! Large portion and inexpensive. Need to work on the marketing maybe. Second trip I asked what else besides the chicken salad is popular? «Ok! …chicken salad. what kind of bread?» Me: No umm. what ELSE do u recommend? «Uh…chicken salad! W/sunflower seed!» Ok yes, I had that and it was very good! But what else is good? «Mmmm …salad with… pieces of chicken?» (Sigh) ok… chicken salad it is. It was still really good!

So I was out this way and decided to veer off my nutrisystem diet and delve into the chicken salad sandwich I so very much crave. With happy in my step I gladly order a large chicken salad sandwich on squaw bread. It’s 4:50 pm and they close at 5 pm. «Oh I’m sorry we’re all out of chicken salad». Huh? I felt crocodile tears forming in my eyes(yes dammit that’s how overweight reacts to food situations we get emotional, shutup). I explained how far I traveled, surely you can hook me up? So she whipped together ¼ tuna and ¾ turkey sandwich with fresh lettuce, tomato, cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, avocado sprinkled lovingly with cashews on squaw bread prepared as she would the chicken salad sandwich. Not the same, great attemp but mega points for trying. I’m going home.

Between slices is one of those hip sound names for a joint that cant quite figure out its identity. They have decent but not spectacular food. But more than anything, they are having a tremendously hard time trying to figure out what their business is I think. You see they do rice bowls, they do sammies, heck I wouldn’t be surprised to see tacos on the menu to go with their Korean plates. They are just all over the place and consequently don’t seem to excel any anything to me, but are fairly average across the board. Pro Tip: Its tucked away at the very furthest part of the strip mall from the Glassell/Katella intersection, on the edge of a treeline. The service here is another thing that may have affected my opinion. It is glacial. I mean this race could possibly be won by a batch of cold molasses on a winter’s eve… It literally took about 15 minutes to get my sammie! Ohhh yeah I was the only one in the entire restaurant other than the cook that time too!!! Ahhhhhhhh… At least it tasted ok. But the fact that they used regular bread was a bit disappointing too. I was hoping for at least some kind of special roll or something at least better than a couple of slices of seemingly regular bread… I may end up trying their beef bowl sometime and they do have specials on the chalkboard that are changed regularly(at least I think they are)… so yeah not that memorable shall we say…

Just stopped in, since the Sprint store was next door, and I was late for work and starving. I’ve driven by this place a million times. I ordered a turkey sandwich on french roll with bacon and swiss. It was 6.5 bucks and tasty. The roll was soft and the rest was fresh. I might go back to try a bowl or a salad the next time around since they sounded good from the staff’s description. Def. a mom and pop kinda place. I gave it two only because the place seems a bit run down which makes me question how clean and sanitary it is and because my bacon was microwaved. :)

Good sandwiches for the price. They can be a bit slow making a simple sandwich at times. Can’t ask for too much from a little hole-in-the-wall deli! Either way, not a bad little place if you’re in need or want of a sandwich!

I’ve tried this place twice. My first visit was a 4 star. My visit today was a 2 star so I’m averaging my review to 3 stars(geez… I’m so mathematical). The place is busy at lunch time. The definitely have a following from the local business people. There were at least 20 people in the place eating which is a lot for a small sandwich shop. Even with 3 orders before mine, they were pretty quick. I got the #2 both visits. Chicken salad with cashew nuts, cucumber, sprouts, lettuce, tomato and cheese on squaw bread. Kinda different, but a very good combo, especially if you like cucumber on your samwiches like I do. So the bread is really good, soft and fresh. My sandwich itself wasn’t as good today. The tomato was white and the lettuce was white. YUCK. I took most of it off. Kinda seemed like low quality today which makes me question the whole place. The lady working the counter isn’t very friendly, but whatever, she gets the job done. They could definitely do better tho. Besides sandwiches, they also have teriyaki chicken and beef bowls and salads. A ‘small’ sandwich comes on regular sized squaw sandwich bread cut in half. A ‘large’ sandwich is that plus another half sandwich. I tried the large and it was too much. I’m not too picky when it comes to sandwiches, I even like Subway and Quiznos. There are so many sandwich shops around, I probably wont rush back here for a 3rd visit too quickly.
