The reason I don’t have to go back to India for biryani is this place. It’s one of the most authentic biryanis I have found in California. The only concern is the limited menu. I like to have my biryani with some traditional tandoori chicken kababs or sheek kababs or chicken roast., etc. If they had that I would be dining here every day but as far as the biryani goes, spot on!

Biryani is such an amazing dish, but when I ate biryani here it made not to eat biryani like forever. Extremely Tasteless biryani, i don’t recommend this place to anybody. I asked owner to give me raita, he said yes and when I opened the box it was green Indian chutney. Don’t expect much from this place.

Prior to the new management taking over this establishment my previous review had given this place five stars. The new people that run this place unfortunately seem to be the worst kind of penny pinchers. They actually charged me extra for Rita. When I told the lady at the front register that I didn’t feel it was right that they actually were charging me extra for rita, she responded with«well we use the best ingredients in our food and the reason the other owners went out of business was because they were charging extra for small things like this.» The food is still cooked by The same chef from what I was told but because of the behavior of the new owners I will no longer be coming here. There are a lot of other fish and chip places close by this area as well as other Briyani places.

I tried this place for the first time the other day. I have never had biryani before. The food was ok. I got it to go. The restaurant itself is not inviting. It’s definitely a take out place.

OK, so this is a biryani and fish and chips joint. though I am not a big fish and chip kinda guy, my 4 year old loves them(i think anything fried works with this kid). I go ahead and order an fish and chip combo and chicken biryani to go. Fish was okay, though i wish it was fried a bit longer… the was crispy on the outside but as you work your way towards the center of the fish it became soggy and soft. The chips were okay, nothing great about them. The chicken biryani was delicious, a good amount of spice, big pieces of chicken, I will come back for that. The truly sucky part was the side salad. I usually dont eat side salad from any fast food establishment, but this side salad reeked of fish. I mean, really fishy smell… like damn. Straight to the garbage that went. Aside from fishy salad… the biryani rocked.

Stopped in completely randomly for a quick bite while working. I thought I would grab a chicken kebab or something. Inside the menu consists mostly of fish and chips in various combinations, but the guy behind the counter recommended the chicken biryani, Which fortunately I ordered. I wasn’t expecting much but the food in my mind. This dish is so delicious! I will definitely be saving the spot and stopping here the next time I’m here by around lunchtime. If you were looking for a hearty rice — based dish with exotic flavors, give this place a try.

Used to be a H. Salt but have become their own independent store. Their menu still contains all of H. Salts dishes in same quality as the franchise but they have also added quite a number of more dishes to try including ice cream, and Biryani. Independently owned and quality food for a great price, it is worth a try.

We love fish and chips and chicken biryani here. Food is very delicious, fresh and well prepared. The best Biryani we have ever had. Courteous service, generous portion and reasonable price. Keep up the good work and we keep coming back.

This place is a hidden gem. It looks like their staple is fish & chips. The overwhelming smell of a fryer will hit you when you walk in, but I came for the biryani. It really hit the spot. I had the chicken biryani and it was made fresh to order. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and the spiciness was just enough. My only gripe about the dish itself is I wish it had a little more chicken with more consistently sized pieces. I had a few huge chunks and then little shreds here and there. However, they only started serving biryani a few months ago and I will definitely be coming back. I should also mention the young man who helped me was very courteous and friendly. Great customer service. They also serve hummus and THRIFTYICECREAM!
