Great atmosphere and great authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Owners are very sweet and the whole place seems very inviting and warm hearted.

Stopped in while waiting for repair work to be done. Had delicious, creamy hummus with warm, doughy pita; tangy Greek salad and lentil soup. It was excellent.

Came here Saturday evening and it was A-ok. The place was empty for starters. Our table started with the hummus plate and the zaatar. Both were flavorful but nothing spectacular. Then for dinner we ordered the falafel wrap, the lamb and kafta kabobs, and the vegetarian plate. We enjoyed the pita and the very herbaceous tabbouleh the most. The falafel wrap had way too much sauce or hummus on it. Could hardly taste the falafel. The lamb was flavorful but a bit tough. For the price and the portion size, the place was ok. Wouldn’t seek it out again though.

We have been coming here since 1998 and love it. The owners are great, food is consistently super, and the setting is clean and comfortable. This is our«go to» restaurant. We love Byblos!

I had my first cup of Turkish coffee here and it was phenomenal. My husband ordered the veggie omelette and I got the vegetarian platter. My meal with the warm bread and coffee was like experiencing a symphony of food! Not kidding! Make sure to check out the back patio, it’s very tranquil and pretty. Service was excellent!

The food here is fresh, delicious and just so full of flavor. The people who own and work in the restaurant are the sweetest every time. The food can take a while to cook, but that’s because it’s made to order and fresh. Seriously, if you’re going to eat on the circle highly consider coming here.

I LOVE Byblos Café. You walk in and automatically feel at home. Sitting there feels like you’ve stepped away from southern California, into a small, family owned café in Greece. The food is outstanding for the price and the wine options are phenomenal. Get the baklava, it is by far the best I’ve had in all my years of being a Mediterranean food fiend. Anytime I’m in the mood for baba ghanoush, my mind immediately decides on Byblos. Whenever I’m in Old Towne, I bring my friends/family here. I don’t think anyone has ever been disappointed.

The location is clean and has friendly service. The Greek salad had a lot to be desired and was mainly all lettuce with lots of vinegar to the point it was over saturated. The chicken skewers and rice were good and so was the pits and hummus. The baklava was on the dry side. Overall I would rate this meal as average and would come back to try something else on the menu.

Had dinner here with the man. Haven’t been here in a few years. The place was crazy busy but service was quick and efficient and the food was as amazing as I remembered. The man ordered the special, lamb shank, and it was as large as his plate… fall off the bone tender with hearty flavor and just the right amount of spice. My chicken kebab and tabouli was fresh and delicious. Give this family owned and run business a try. You will be hooked.

Excellent first experience at Byblos Café @ Orange Cir. I got the lamb gyro with a few falafels and to drink I had the rose water with orange, which that alone deserves a 5 star review because it was simply divine and VERY refreshing. And I also had the hot mint tea and that was very refreshing as well. My friend who accompanied me, had the chicken shwarma* and that was amazing as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of Mediterranean style food and also looking for a great little ma and pa style restaurant with that great old town Orange vibe. And on a side note to those that gave this place less than three stars, you just had a rare bad experience here and should give this place another chance. My friend and I showed up at 3:30pm on a Thursday and we had good service and excellent food.

One of my favorite hidden gems in OC. Very friendly service. I don’t go often enough for them to know me but they always treat me kindly. The food is delicious. The outdoor seating in the back reminds me of dinning in Europe. I take all my friends here.

Perfect hidden spot in old towne Orange! I came with my best friend for a quiet afternoon lunch and was pleasantly delighted when we stumbled into here. The seating outside is very peaceful, despite the view being into some brick buildings. I couldn’t help but think that at night, if they put the lights on in the back, a couple could have that special lady & the tramp spaghetti moment! Food was yummy, we noshed on a basic plate with salad hummus & pita. I can’t complain. The owner was very sweet as well. Highly recommend this spot & I will be coming back with my sweetie to see bout recreating that lady & the tramp moment. Lol.

Byblos café is the best place to relax and eat delicious food. I have been a customer for 15 years now and I haven’t been disappointed once. The service, the food, the facility, and the surroundings are continuously great! I always order the shawarma chicken plate while my mother orders the Mediterranean combo plate, and after ordering it for the past 15 years, it is still amazingly tasty and fresh! Love the owners, they are such sweet people! Always a smile on their face :) Oh and for the ART lovers, they have decorated their walls with beautiful art works of various styles Bön Appetit!

Family owned restaurant in the heart of Orange. Mom is the waitress and papa is in the kitchen. Great food, fast service, nice indoor and outdoor ambiance, and the price is good. Very authentic menu. Definitely worth the trip.

Like many of you, I drive by here all the time and I always think, «I really should stop in there and check that place out». Well, finally we made that happen and popped in for breakfast. It was cool because no one else was there except another couple having breakfast and I’m pretty sure they were regulars. We sat on the back patio because it was a lovely humid day. The service took a while and the woman wasn’t very friendly. In fact, when we walked in she had this look on her face like, «Oh, great. Customers. Ugh.» I just looked at her like, «Yea, we in this piece bring over some menus and let’s get this poppin». I ordered a breakfast pita and it was good. It wasn’t outstanding or anything but it was good. We ordered turkish coffee along with some baklava and that was good. I think that’s been the best baklava I’ve had in a while. It wasn’t too sweet and gooey like most other places serve. It was perfectly flakey. I’d really like to go back to Byblos for lunch or dinner and check that out. Along with some Lebanese beer, of course.

I’ve been wanting to try this place, but never had the chance til tonight when I went with a friend. We were immediately greeted and sat on the front patio facing the street. After ordering a couple glasses of wine we were indecisive on the entrees but our server was helpful and assured us that everything was good. I ordered lamb kabobs and my friend ordered chicken kabobs. Our initial reaction was at the perfect portion size, not too much, but just enough. She got hers with the lentil soup which she said was delicious, and I got mine with the tabouli, also yummy. Both were beautifully plated and came with a side of hummus and pita. The lamb was cooked perfectly and with all the flavors together, this is easily going to be my new go to spot for Mediterranean. As we ate, the place began to fill up, and you could tell a lot of locals eat here often. There’s even a cute patio in the back as well. Overall we had great service, amazing food in a cozy atmosphere. What more can you really ask for?

With Byblos Café being conveniently located down the street from work, it’s quite hard to pass up for lunch. My favorite is their Super Healthy Pita Wrap that is loaded with falafel, hummus, and tabouli salad. It’s not large but totally satisfies. The price isn’t bad either, ringing in at $ 5.99. The service is generally quick, it’s the parking that can at times be tricky. But that’s pretty much expected at the Orange Circle. Save room for a sweet and salty finish by ordering their Pistachio Baklava. Yum-o! Beer and wine is also served at this location :)
