This place is great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the parking lot is huge and not too hard to get into or out of, and the quality of products versus price is perfect. I found many items here that I was unable to get at a local retailer. There is a nice oil bar next door that I believe is part of the store. Both times shopping there, I needed help finding something and the staff helped me find it, did it with a smile, and made sure that I didn’t need help with anything else before moving off to the next task. If you are looking for that one cooking item and do not want to wait for online shipping, or just prefer to hold the item in your hand before purchasing, I would recommend shopping here.

Best selection of home and pro equipment in New Haven county. Prices are good and service is friendly. If you’re looking for better than what you can find in the chain stores, this is the place.

A frequent shopper of Williams Sonoma and the like, I I went into see about purchasing some baking products & found the experience to be quite extraordinary.
Being a beginning baker, I approached a woman who I later learned is the owner, Michele was extremely helpful. She spent time (in what seems to be the place to shop for all professional & amateur (aspiring) chefs) to explain different products, didn’t oversell at all and was a delight to meet as was her staff.
They have cooking classes, events and a huge variety of products. I will definitely be back and look forward to the next time. If you are looking for kitchen products, this is the go to place!

I had a wonderful experience at Chef’s today. The store is huge and it was difficult for me to find items on a wedding registry. When I expressed my frustration to the cashier, she immediately called Michelle the owner. Michelle became my personal shopper! She pulled the items from the shelves and did everything she could to help. I was a customer before today but now Chef’s will be my first choice for kitchen items. Thank you Michelle!

Great store with practically everything and anything you could possibly need to cook/​bake with. I enjoy coming here for the different gadgets and «toys». And I also like their grocery section. They have commercial equipment as well. I have seen a cooking demonstration area too, but have not been able to catch it in action. Overall, I love the store (baking items seems to be the same price as AC Moore/​Michaels items)

They sell almost everything and anything you could possible need, desire or come up with. And It’s huge so plan on taking your time.
Professional grade products all the way down to the down to the passionate home cook.
Brands your familiar with — mid range to very high end.
Excellent knif selection. Pots, bake wear, utensils, pasta machines, etc, etc.
Cooking classes.
Knowledgable & helpful staff.
Although they offer practically everything in a broad range of categories– I was disappointed w the limited selection within said category. Wanted to purchase a muddled– for mojitos– they only offered two brands & they were of inferior quality.
But definately a great store all around.

if you need cooking supplies (like pots and pans, etc) than you should check this place out. lots of cool commercial quality products (i was looking for a 20 gallon kettle and they had them), and a selection of olive oils and vinegars and some other interesting cooking ingredients. only issue i have is a lot of products are not priced (either on the shelf or on the package) which is frustrating.

I was excited when this store opened and we have made a few purchases here. The prices are okay and the selection is better than at the chain stores.

After a bad experience here, Caveat Emptor is what I think of every time I drive by this store now.
On a Friday we purchased a thermos carafe for coffee for brunch that Sunday. The carafe wouldn’t dispense properly. The store refuses to take it back or exchange it because the item is now ‘used’. They suggest we contact the manufacturer for help.
We would have loved to give this store more business, but now will not ever go back. A store that cannot stand behind its merchandise is not worth my time or effort.
Don’t ever buy an expensive appliance here. If you get it home and it doesn’t work, even the first time you use it it will be your problem, not theirs.
