Nice people. Very easy to sign up and they don’t insist on having your checking account. Clean and uncrowded. However, what I am sure was an errant decision to save a few bucks after investing in a very expensive business, they bought the crappiest, least expensive scale they could find. It’s also dangerous, as it goes off balance very easily where one could fall and get injured. Unfortunately, it makes you wonder where else they scrimp, and what other safety issues are at risk. Update: So, rather than fix a problem for a few extra bucks, which would have made me happy to turn this into a glowing review, Crunch instead opts to cancel my membership for addressing a concern. So then, while much is desirable here, let me tell you what I really found. At least half the computerized machines I personally used where out of whack. The battery had died in a rowing machine, and they didn’t seem too concerned about replacing it. On a bike, the computer was jumping all over the place. On another, the heart rate monitor was at least 10 bpm off. On another, it told me my heart rate while exercising was 72 bpm. My standing heart rate isn’t even that. On a fit test on a tread mill, having done no exercise in 3 years, having had far too many candy bars, and being 30 lbs overweight, the test report on the display said my fitness was«superior.» All they had to do was first acknowledge a problem, then spend an extra $ 20 to avoid the problem in the first place. There are three negative reviews here on that scale. How many times have they been told this in person? Some people just don’t listen.

I recently switched to this gym and am really enjoying it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The equipment is clean and the facility is well maintained and large. To have access to unlimited classes for $ 20/month is great, especially with no contract. Also, you can bring a friend for free anytime. I also looked at The Edge in Milford, but this gym is more open, spacious, and less crowded.

I was a planet fitness member, but switched here once they opened. How can you beat $ 20/month which includes classes, tanning, and Aqua massage. Not to mention you can bring a friend along for free. Planet was fine too, but here you get more for your money. It’s also super clean, the staff is nice and friendly as are the class instructors. I recommend this place to anyone!

Crunch is a nice gym, never crowded, friendly staff, very clean. The only problem that I have is number one the place is called crunch right? well there’s only one ab machine. yes there are two ab rollers in the back but for a good abdominal work out there should be more than one ab machine. secondly the place needs a real scale there’s nowhere to weigh yourself there is a cheap bathroom scale you can use but as I said it’s cheap. Third I noticed that the bicep curling Machine is torn at the cushion where you place your elbows both machines are like that and the cushions need to be replaced it’s been that way for a while I hope that they fix it soon. Other than these issues crunch is a very nice gym.

Best gym in the area. I am a former LA Shitness member, and I can say that it is a night and day difference. Aside from low price, the staff is great, the facility is CLEAN, and the other members are friendly.

Do you like a gym that isnt filled with massive dudes checking out one anothers rear ends… me too! Thats why i go to crunch. I used to go to Hell-A fitness but there was to much douchebaggery for me. For 20 $ a month you get access to all equipment and classes as well as tanning beds and aqua massagers andddddd you get to bring a friend everytime you go with no charge. You can also go with 10 $ a month and dont get the tanning and friend stuff. Appearance: –Brand new clean and newer equipment –Family friendly large range of people(from kids to grandparents) Classes: There are a bunch of classes with knowledgeable trainers You can really do whatever you want here and never be in anyones way and its a really friendly and non intimidating environment.(if youre new to the gym scene and dont want to be judge because people suck this is the place)

I enrolled at Crunch in the beginning of January because it was conveniently closer to my house than the one I currently was going to and after visiting once before with a friend it seemed pretty efficient for what I do. After looking at both memberships they offer, I went with the $ 20 a month, which includes unlimited guess pass, tanning and hydro massage. It has worked out perfectly, being an everyday gym goer, Crunch has everything I need. It’s never too busy, so you can almost always get on the machine you need and all the equipment are brand new! They also have personal training and a personal training area, when no trainers are present you are allowed to go in and use the equipment in there also. This area is what made me really turn to joining crunch! Unlike any gym I’ve been a member to throughout the years(LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, Edge, etc.) they have kettle bells, wall balls, box jumps, battle ropes and jump ropes all readily there for you to use at your own convenience. They also have group fitness classes, Retro aerobics is my favorite and Pablo is fantastic. It is constant cardio for 30mins, Pablo keep the energy high and really tries to push you. Also he respects people knowing their own abilities and helps those at their own level. They may not have a sauna, pool, basketball court and/or racket ball court but hey this is a gym not a rec center right? That should be expected. Being a previous La Fitness member and a gym rat, unless you went to LA Fitness for the basketball or pool, this gym will more than meet your needs. Unlike LA the staff doesn’t jump down your throat, it’s a nice relaxed environment where athletes or new gym goers and come together. The locker rooms have showers, bathrooms, and a changing area. The only thing I will say is I think its a little weird they don’t have an actual scale, they just have a digital one. For the price, classes, privileges and equipment, you can’t beat this deal!
