The best soft serve ice cream you can find for miles and miles; other than Carvel. Unique taste, and cones are always fresh which is a plus since many other ice cream parlors overlook the freshness of cones. Great customer service and always clean when we stop in.

Love this place! Everyone is here on a summers eve ready to chat about the game and celebrate with a sweet treat! We stopped in right before it got crazy with kids and each got some soft serve. Fast efficient serve, staff was ready to move some cones! I got a cone with vanilla soft serve and rainbow sprinkles. My family got the twist with fudge. All were delicious! Highly recommend stopping in for a treat as long as you beat the crowds before dusk!

I visited Dip Top with some friends a couple weeks back after we indulged in some sushi. We all wanted ice cream, and this was the only place close that was still open late on a Sunday night. The staff was very friendly upon walking in and allowed us to take our time when choosing. I normally don’t go crazy with ice cream as I’m not a big eater of it in the colder months, but I opted for a soft vanilla with hot fudge and whipped cream. Boring, but hey it got the job done. The ice cream was delicious but the hot fudge was to die for. I’ve had the same combo at other places but for some reason this was even more delicious. I couldn’t get enough of it. Everybody I was with enjoyed their ice cream, and even complained there was to much! The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because there is nowhere to sit inside. I don’t remember if there was seating outside, but in the winter, I would rather sit inside then run outside to my car to eat ice cream. I’m sure in the summer people kind of sit around the parking lot and whatnot, but not an ideal place for the colder months.

A big fan of soft serve. After reading the reviews, I thought I needed to try this place. Ordered a large swirl(vanilla/chocolate twist) and felt like I could have spent my money somewhere else. The portions could have been bigger. First off, this soft serve is really good, but I would compare it more to custard ice cream. I was expecting a SOFT serve, but it was denser than I expected. The flavor is there though. Second, this place is pretty expensive. I stopped by here after my Trader Joe’s run, but probably won’t come back for more. Rating it 3 stars because of the price and portions.

Basically, the 4 star description says it all — I’m a fan. The dipped soft serve is the only thing I’ve ever had here, and it’s a nice twist on traditional soft serve. It’s a little messy to eat in a cone(presumably because the dip is warm when it first goes on, causing the ice cream to melt a little quicker than normal), but not a big deal. The only thing I can add is that they only had 6 – 7 or so dip flavors when I stopped in the other day, whereas some of the earlier reviews suggest they had a dozen or even 20 at one time.

Of all the desert places in this area, Dip-Top is my favorite. It’s basically the go-to place for real, soft-serve ice cream. It’s just so good and rich! My only complaint is that I have never, ever seen a happy employee here. They don’t really seem like they want to be there, and while they get you what you need, they are more interested in texting on their phones or talking with each other than dealing with the customers. That’s okay, we’re not here to chat. We’re here to eat a healthy serving of delicious artery-clogging ice cream! Speaking of which, I’m not sure frozen yogurt is any better for you. Certainly, real ice cream is tastier(at least to me).

Been going there before the fire years ago, and stopped in again recently for a well needed ice cream. Their big thing is that you can choose to dip the soft serve into hardening chocolate which covers your ice cream in a crunchy chocolate coating. They have a nice selection of regular ice creams and toppings as well. Classic Orange spot with teenagers running the place.

Very enjoyable experience — if only there had just been a place to sit indoors to enjoy my dip-top. I had the chocolate-vanilla swirl with chocolate dip. A super treat!

It’s a little corner ice cream shop that serve gelato, soft serve, sundaes, shakes and more. It’s a little on the pricey side but I’m a real fan of soft serve dipped in bubblegum, mmm!

Judging from the lack of reviews here, Dip Top is seemingly not known to everyone. But it is right there on Boston Post Road for all to see and you should make the effort to check it out. This is some of the best soft serve ice cream around. It is actually very Carvel like– very smooth and creamy. You can get vanilla, chocolate or twist. They also have hard ice cream and yogurt. I can’t really judge those items because I’ve never ordered them. For me, this place is all about the soft serve. They have a variety of dip choices for those soft serve cones or you can get a dish with either wet or candy toppings. Sundaes, shakes, smoothies and flurries are also menu options. Prices are fair for the portion you get. Look, ice cream is not hard to judge. It’s either rave worthy or not. Dip Top definitely fits this category for their soft serve. To put it simply, if I’m in the area I always make the effort to stop at the Dip. I can’t say that about a lot of the places I’ve visited.

I Love Dip Top! There is a road side ice cream place in the town I grew up in that specializes in dip flavors and I have always loved the soft serve/dip combo So when I found Dip Top I was ecstatic, because most ice cream spots around here don’t have anything of that sort– just the average hard ice cream, albeit with great flavor options. This place is great for dips, great for milkshakes and quick service — - yum. And they will do soft serve in a cup with dip on top(and will add extra if you ask nicely) which is nice for people like me who hate cones

I think there are 20 dip flavors to chose from but we weren’t too original. There were 3 of us and our order was 3 large vanilla /chocolate swirls with chocolate peanut butter dip. They should call the large HUGE. But alas we ate em all. Every last bit of crunchy coated soft serve. My mission is sample all 20 dip flavors before Labor Day. As an added bonus the staff was super friendly.

A Boston Post Rd. legend in Orange. Esssentially, yes, it’s just your typical soft-serve ice cream joint, but they have their shtick. They offer about a dozen flavors of dip for your ice cream cone. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure that«dip», whatever it actually is, is probably really bad for you. However, you cannot take away my chocolate soft-serve cone dipped in a cherry flavored shell. You just can’t. I won’t let you. Dip-top actually has gelato now as well, but, really, no need to fancy it up here. Artificial flavoring and red dye #6 never tasted so good.
