If it is possible to rate a Chinese Take Out place with ZERO stars, this would be that place. In a gullible moment, I made the critical mistake of falling for a few (obviously contrived) Unilocal!reviews. Note the multiple Reviews from «Ping Y.» I am only praying that I will wake up tomorrow morning without Montezuma’s Revenge … or worse.
Each dish we ordered from Dragon Phoenix was worse than the previous one. Szechuan Shrimp … consisted of a few tired, mealy, over sauced shrimp drowned in more onions than any other ingredient. Black Pepper Chicken was deep fried in so much batter … that the chicken was nowhere to be found. Bean Curd w/​mixed vegetables … mostly onions and peppers, and tasteless and disgusting. Roast Pork Hunan Style … you couldn’t find the meat with a microscope. Plus, one cold, very cabbage-​y Egg Roll. How can you f-​up an Egg Roll???
I should’ve known better when the guy at the other end of the phone told me they didn’t have Brown Rice (only White or Yellow? Rice). I should have gone with my instinct: and cancelled the order, then and there.
My advice to my local Unilocalers:
Avoid this place … like the plague.
