Dunn-Edwards Paints

Quick in and out. Really easy to get to and they have their own lot. Also they take competitor old paint. I think to recycle but anyhow, saved me a trip to dispose of it.

I do not like to give a store 1 star review. But this is the worst store I’ve went to. First, I went to buy 5 small paint samples to test the color. Then they made one mistake and gave me the wrong color. I found out when I return home and had to go back to change. Then I was planning to paint some doors by ourselves. Neither my husband and I had experience painting doors. So I did some homework on youtube. All the videos say I need to use oil-​based paint for door and trim. Then I went to this store. I told them I need paint for the door. They insisted that I can use water based semi-​gloss for the doors. I asked them very carefully how I should do it. I was told by the staff that I only need to clean the door, light-​sand and clean and paint. That’s it! So I trusted their «professional» opion and happily started working on my doors. My husband and I spent one day to paint 5 doors. Then the next morning my painter came in and saw the new doors. He said” that’s terribly wrong!” Because we was not told to use a oil based primer before applying water-​based paint, the paint is so easily peeled off. We just wasted our time and money! Now my painter has to redo all the doors. And he even not sure the outcome will be good since he can not wash off all those paint. So we ended up spending more money on those doors. I just hate the staff in this store. If she’s not professioinal, she should not tell me how to do it. I’ll never trust the opions from dunn Edwards. Never!

How do they expect people who work full time to be able to buy paint if they close at 5pm? Got there at 5:10 today and they were closed. There was still an employee inside, but he wouldn’t help us out.
