El Nuevo Mariachi

This place is horrible. We went on this place on sunday at 12 pm and the food wasnt even ready. The place was empty, i wonder why ?? We order some non alcoholic drinks and chips. But when we decided to leave there was not even anyone to pay for the stuff. This place obviously does not know any restaurant ethic since they open without food! Dont waste ur time!!!

Save your money!!! The service is horrible and the prices are even worse. This place is a ripoff!!! I came to celebrate my friends birthday and they after waiting for over half hour at the bar to be seated, they finally gave us a table –the waiter them told us that they were going to charge $ 30/​person because of the special entertainment that they were offering… this is not even a club and they’re charging «cover fees?» I went ahead and order their food and the Salmon smelled disgusting… They tried to over charge me at the end and I demanded to talk to a manager and then they adjusted the bill. I paid for what I ordered, even though I did not eat it — but I will never go back.

If I could put 0 stars, I would. A year ago, this place was great, with great music and service. Now, it’s a huge rip off. For starters, the total bill for 4 of us was $ 155 and they decided to automatically add $ 22 as tip. I’d never mind giving even $ 30 for tip, but it was definitely not deserved because of the service that we were given. Our waiter was also working as a DJ so he left us unattended most of the night. There were waiters and employees in the men’s bathroom talking obscenities between themselves without a care that there were customers there. Absolutely the worst service we have gotten in any restaurant, won’t be coming back again.

Extremely disappointed… I have been going there for years and it was always decent. Last month I decided to gather a few family members to celebrate my birthday there. First of all, we stood outside over 30 min waiting for them to open late. Once we were allowed inside, we were told that buffet meal did not include 2 mimosas (when they always have, for years) We still decide to order mimosas only to be told they don’t have orange juice??? They prepared our drinks with mostly cranberry juice and a «splash» of champagne. As my family members & I are ordering rounds separately at the bar (because our waiter was too busy) we were all charged different prices for exact same drinks??? Not to mention, all their glassware was dusty & dirty. After 3 drinks each — they ran out of champagne !! There was a VERY limited selection of entrees, which was not normal at all. Waiter was apologizing and said the new owner was never around & was not involved He also mentioned that most of the employees that were left would soon be leaving to go work for precious owner. To top it off we were over charged and waiter seemed to forget that we paid for alcohol at the bar and never ordered from him!!! I will never return to this establishment again, horrible service, limited selection of food, no one seems to care about the great customer service they once were known for. Last but not least — Mariachi came super late and played for about 45 min and were done for the day. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT IN MORE THAN ONE WAY! Waste of Money!!!

The two stars are for the mariachi because the management, service, and seating accommodations were beyond poor. It feels as if they Try to cram as many people into a small area and overcharge on the food and spirits. They need to revamp this place to be more customer oriented instead of milking the patrons for poor service. You are charged 20 dollars mandatory. If you can find another place for mariachi go I would t recommend this place

This place deserves a negative 5 stars! I don’t know how this place is still in business, the staff is not customer focused very rude and disrespectful.

This place is horrible! The worst service I’ve ever had. Not only are they short staffed, they are way overpriced! Don’t come here! Seriously.

Worst experience ever we didn’t even make it to the table. 20% of the restaurant was available for seating we were a party of 2 you’d think we be able to sit even in a corner of the restaurant. They sat 2 tables of 8 that got there after us. While standing to be seated we observed people 3 different tables complain about overages on their bill. I guess it’s standard practice to have to argue to remove items you didn’t order off of your bill at this restaurant.
We came from Northern for the biggest disappointment. Would not recommend anyone to waste their time at an extremely unorganized restaurant.

Stopped in with friends on a Friday night to have a quick margarita after dinner. Stayed almost 2 hours. We had a great time. Crowd was having a great time dancing to good music. We ordered chips, guacamole, and my wife ordered a flauta. They brought us a huge platter of the best handmade flautas I’ve ever had. Service was outstanding given how packed the place was. Happy people, happy staff. Very fun. Can’t wait to go back to try more food.

If it was possible to give this place half a star I would. The service, timeliness, and quality of food was very poor. There was 1 server for the entire restaurant. Our group was of about 20 people and there was probably another 30 people there. We had reservations for 830 pm had our drinks served at like 930 and then our food was never brought to us. We waited until 1130 until we decided we had waited too long. No excuse they could have given us could justify a 3 hr wait. Mariachi is good that’s the only reason they are receiving a star. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. Not even my worst of enemies.

I’ll start out saying the mariachi band tries hard to entertain the crowd. That is the only positive I have from a disappointing evening. This was my third visit and my experiences have regressed with every visit. The most disappointing part is the service and the value of the experience.
The service is among the worst I’ve experienced with slow and impersonal attention. I found a piece of beer bottle cap foil in my chips and brought it to the servers attention and he just brushed it away without saying or offering to make it right. The service here feels impersonal with much improvement needed.
The price of the food is way too expensive for the quality and portions. Please read the fine print, all diners are expected to order $ 25 minimum during the dinner show and an automatic 15% service fee is included on checks over $ 100.
Unfortunately this is the only mariachi dinner show in Orange County. If you feel like experiencing a great mariachi dinner, consider visiting Cielito Lindo in El Monte, it’ll be worth the drive and your time.

I love this place! From the Mariachi to the awesome bartender snd delicious food! Between sets they play many types of music you can enjoy. Did I mention the drinks are bomb? Two days later and I’m still recovering.
My friends and I shared the chimichangas it came with pico de gallo sour cream and guacamole. Not good for sharing especially if you plan on drinking. Perfectly seasoned.

Came here with my parents for there company party! Not only was the food delicious the music was amazing! Love it here will be back again!

I really love the food in special fajitas mixtas and sea food, the mariachi it’s very good and exelent service.

Food was horrible and extremely priced. The mariachi played well but played so loud you couldn’t even hear the person next to you. Take my word not worth coming here

Our reservation was removed because they are disorganized to the extreme.
We went for our father’s birthday. Reservation time was 8pm. We were there 30 minutes before. It took an extra 10 – 15 minutes to force our party on the waiting list. We weren’t seated until 10:30pm. Our party was hungry and unhappy. Once at the table, we had a waiter take our drink order and left. No one else offered chips and salsa. We got our drinks at a timely manner except for one. At this point, we already knew this will be our one and only visit here.
The food and entertainment was good. (Personally, I would never pay $ 16 for chicken enchiladas.)
At the end of our visit, we never received an apology or any discounts for putting up with their disorganized mess.
I worked in the restaurant business as a worker and part of management. This is the poorest customer service i’ve ever dealt with. Please take caution when reserving here.
Edit: Also, They don’t answer their phones when it’s busy.

TWO AND A HALF HOURS AND STILL NO FOOD. We ended up canceling our order and going home. The restaurant was fairly empty and our waiter NEVER came to see if we were doing ok and didn’t even notice we never got our food. We kept having to call him over just to get a drink and take our order! The two people from our group of 20 that did recieve their food said it was crap. Didn’t offer a discount and still expected a tip. And the virgin alcoholic drinks some ordered were 26 $. Absolute WORST restaurant experience Ive ever had.

This place is a good place to go if you only want to get some drinks and enjoy the music other than that the food is supper expensive and not good at all. Even the drinks are expensive

The mariachi show was great! I loved it. They were very entertaining. The atmosphere was very family oriented and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salmon and it was excellent.
I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to anyone that loves Mariachi music.

El Sábado hicimos reservaciones para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi papa en este restaurante pero realmente no quede impresionada. Para empezar tuvimos que esperar casi una hora para que tomarán nuestra orden, únicamente estaban interesados en que estuviéramos pidiendo bebidas alcohólicas. Las mesas están muy pegadas, no hay mucho espacio entre las sillas tienes que estarte cuidando de la gente que esta al lado tuyo. Se me hizo caro y la comida no fue buena como tampoco suficiente, pedimos 2 parrilladas en el menú dice que una parrillada es para 4 personas pero sus cálculos están mal hechos. Me pareció que uno paga por el espectáculo del mariachi por qué el resto no vale la pena.
No creo que regrese a el nuevo mariachi como tampoco lo recomiendo y si piensan ir vayan preparándose a pagar no menos de $ 200 por 4 personas.
