I am a person of few words. Felt compelled to write a review of a person, ADAM … and a company… H3ASSIST… that could not have been better. Adam understood my situation, explained everything in detail, and handled all with expertise & empathy. My only negative… I would want to award him & his Company more than 5 stars.

It’s a tired cliché but it’s true: If you have your health you have everything. In April, during my monthly visit to Mom we celebrated her 87th birthday. I’d been visiting monthly for upwards of one year to keep an eye on her, monitor her mental state, and ensure she was still capable of living on her own. Some months left me questioning but things were never so bad that I felt the need to act. Then, days after her birthday the decision was taken out of my hands. Two days before I was returning home she told me «I can’t do it anymore. I need some help.» H3Assist is the company you call when a loved one needs home care or worse. Picking up the phone and dialing their number is a line in the sand that most of us hope never to cross but knowing they’re out there and that they’re very good and responsive helps with what is admittedly a sea change in someone’s life. Here’s what I have appreciated so far about working with H3Assist: * The first time I called I reached Adam Kranson who took my call and arranged to meet with my mother and I the following day. * Neither my mother or I thought that she would yet qualify for the benefit on her long term care(LTC) insurance policy. Adam thought otherwise and talked us through his informed reasoning on applying for the benefit. * While meeting with us, Adam phoned my mother’s LTC insurance provider and kick-started the process making the whole thing at least 1,000% easier on us. He knew the questions to ask, asked them, and got the ball rolling. That right there is an invaluable service. * Dipping your toe into this world is scary and life-changing. Adam helped with that. He listened, made recommendations, told us he could get my mother some help immediately but, since she didn’t have an urgent need, would like 1 week to work to find the right fit of caregiver. * He found that right fit days later and returned to introduce her to my mom to see if the match felt right for the two of them. Nothing is ever perfect, especially when someone is forced to give up their independence, but I’m grateful and thankful that 3 months in things are working out well. * Adam has always been responsive to my phone calls and text messages. He even offered to drop by and check on my mom(on a regular basis, if needed) during the time between our first meeting and the time we had a caregiver fully on board. * Adam’s intuition was right. My mom applied for and was approved for her LTC benefit. We are currently working through the waiting period for coverage. H3Assist has proved flexible and knowledgeable about how to best work through that without breaking the bank and I’m appreciative. I’ve been hesitant to write anything about H3 until after a bit of time elapsed as I wanted to ensure that my initial feelings about their level of service were on point. At this time, I have zero hesitation in recommending their services. There are no contracts to sign, they handle payments to the caregiver(and tax reporting, which is critical), and they’re an absolute godsend when you find yourself in need of this type of help. We’d all like to believe that this’ll never happen to us or our loved ones. Go ahead, keep believing in unicorns and bacon rainbows but remember H3Assist. Sh*t gets real faster than you can believe and when it does you’ll want someone who takes the burden off of you. That’s H3Assist. I cannot recommend them more highly.
