This is truly one of my favorite outlet stores, and the quality of the merchandise is excellent(not made-for-outlet junk you sometimes get at other outlet brands). The thing with this store is that you really need to go fairly often if you want great bargains on specific items, because they will sell out of popular seasonal items very quickly. The service here is every bit as friendly and professional as at a regular LL Bean store — which is to say — top notch. If you’re an LL Bean junkie like I am, it’s truly worth the drive, since you can save a bundle on a wide array of LLB merchandise, clothes, sun glasses, luggage, and outdoor gear(even bikes and kayaks). Oh, and there’s a Trader Joes in the same strip mall, so it’s like a little slice of retail heaven :)

So, This was my first time shopping at LL Bean, I always hear good things about the quality, the prices were just a bit high for me… So I went to this outlet a few weeks ago and spotted some cute velour flats for only $ 10 They put all their sale items outside over the weekend and I was in a rush so didn’t get to try on or buy anything… I passed them up and went in today and found in he back corner of the store shoes on sale!!! The same flats that were drastically discounted to $ 10 marked down another 30%…Yellow sticker sallleeee! Amazinggg, I bought winter boots as well marked own and an extra 30% off, down to $ 35 total!!! Black with fur and draw string, they are perfect. I moved from Florida and def. will use these up here, they have great traction as well, perfect condition. Oh and I found a pair of loafers also marked an extra 30%, got them for $ 14.OVERALL I SPENT $ 60 !!! I came out of that store skipping for joy! Then I put my stuff in the car and handed the rest of my money over to Trader Joes in the same plaza… ahhhh! I Love this store!

You can’t go wrong with LL bean quality… Their products last for a long time. Awesome discounted prices. I’m very happy with my purchase. I got a light shell jacket here. Original price was $ 129 and it came out to only $ 50 dollars. I will definitely come back if I’m in the area again.

Just went to return a purchase today. Reminded me to post a review. I definitely approve of their high quality items. I think I have a backpack from every school year as well as jackets. ;) I get a good laugh from items that are monogrammed yet have been returned. Good gag gifts: D

I’m not L. L Bean’s main demographic — I don’t hike or camp regularly, and I don’t usually wear their style of clothes — but I enjoy stopping at their outlet store 4 or 5 times a year. It is always an adventure to see what is newly on sale or on clearance, and there is almost always at least one amazing deal on things that I can use. The selection rotates fairly rapidly(except the shoe section, for some reason) so it is worth a stop when you’re in the mood.

i have been in here a few times and in general it is hit-or-miss, sometimes i find great stuff and other times feel like i am wasting time. last time in i bought some bike accessory that i had looked at in some other stores, it was $ 26 here and retail was $ 40. . later that week i came across it in another store — a non-outlet store for $ 29. so i got an open box version for $ 3 less. not too big of a deal. they had some kayaks and canoes, not sure if they were good deals though. usually if its a slow day and we are headed to trader joes in the same plaza we will stop in and kill some time.

I had high hopes when I heard LL Bean was coming to Orange. But after visiting this store several times, those high hopes gradually turned to disappointment. I can surmise that this store is some type of dumping ground for mail-order returns and odd sizes that ordinarily don’t sell through the company’s regular channels. They do have some decent prices, but whenever I find something I like, I can never find it in my size. This store is wonderful if you take a size XXXL or if you like non-mainstream goofy colors. They have plenty of those things. In fact, they have monogrammed shirts with other people’s initials on them if you want to confuse other people. I could be wrong, but I believe the new LL Bean store in South Windsor is a regular type LL Bean store. Maybe I’ll check it out someday. Just one comment… that whole Evergreen new shopping center in South Windsor is incredible. Too bad the New Haven area doesn’t have anything like that. Ohh, I take that back, we have our truly beautiful Connecticut Post Mall *rolls eyes*.

I’ve never ordered from a L.L. Beans on-line, or used their catalogues. I’ve never even set my foot inside another L.L. Beans shop, so this was my very first«virgin» experience with L.L. Beans. So how was my experience? Solidly good. They had good basic clothes especially for my husband, and he tells me that he’s happy with the quality of his shirts, pants, and sweaters. I got a few shirts myself, and I’m very happy with them as well. Their styles never go out of style and the cottons are of good quality. Few things to note at this store; Since this is an outlet, the price is good, and the sales representatives are very friendly. The few attendants that I came across were truly helpful and very nice. The cons of this place: The sizes of men’s shirts and pants were sometimes vague or disorganized. And there isn’t much in terms of sizes and styles. But overall, I don’t have any complaints. I will definitely come here again to shop for my dad and my brother.

Once upon a time, my preppy look was kind of ironic. I don’t know if the irony is that obvious anymore, but I tend to wear a lot of cotton button-down shirts. I also love my L.L.Bean hiking boots and fleece gloves and wool socks. And the strange and entirely unflattering fleece-lined waterproof hat with ear flaps that I got from them a few years ago. For when it’s so cold you don’t give a crap. Like now. L.L.Bean quality has been a little tiny bit variable in recent years, but generally it’s good stuff that doesn’t fall apart. Anyway, this store accepts returns if you ordered the stuff online. Nice. They also sell, at great discount, other people’s returns — of regular, premium quality merchandise.
