Consistently good food. Their meats are outstanding. Great veggies and I’m not a vegetable lover by any means. Their watermelon iced tea is very yummy. The staff there is great. The servers are on top of their game. All in all an excellent choice for an above average meal anytime!

Waiting for my take out order and asked for a cup of water like 5 times and still nothing. There are a total of 4 hostesses doing nothing. Management needs to do something about customer service especially when the temperature is in the 3 digits. Horrible. Won’t be coming back to this location.

Will never come here again. I get its Father’s Day and it’s busy but when you go in for a to go order, wait 30 minutes AFTER said wait time(waited an hour for three orders) then find that they FORGOT an order… It’s very frustrating! Oh! But I get free biscuits for waiting an hour in the heat and not enjoy my now cold meal! Thanks guys!

Amazing service and friendly staff. Dad loved the corn chowder soup! I got a smoked brisket burger with watermelon. Sadly I got too full with the delicious biscuits with butter that they served. They’re so addicting! It’s overly pricey if you’re a broke college student like myself but I enjoyed my meal. It is so noisy that I have to yell so that my dad who is hearing impaired can hear me. Other than that I would come again when I’m in town.

**Happy hour at 4 – 7 pm** When you do go to this place sit in the lounge.(They only serve drinks there and it’s more of an adult atmosphere.) The mac and cheese with bacon was so so good. I ordered the chicken BBQ that came with your choice of two meats plus two sides. All the meats were nice and tender. The only thing I didn’t like about it was I ordered corn bread and when it came to me it was kinda hard/stale. Other than that it’s a good place to get some BBQ. Oh the applebutter with homemade biscuits is super good. Addicting! Go and try it!

Can you say«fresh, sugar-crusted buttermilk biscuits & apple-butter»? Holy smokes, it’s delish! We also love the burnt ends but you have to be careful that they aren’t too fatty that day. Hubby can’t get enough of the friend green tomatoes) with extra bell pepper crème sauce). Sliders are legit, and so is the garlic mash. Don’t forget a fresh, giant iced tea… all varieties are tasty and refreshing!

Loving our experience! Our daughter really likes their Mac n cheese and she is 1, the manager saw she had eaten her side of it sooooo quick and she was sad that he kindly brought an extra side over on the house! It was just such a cool way to go above and beyond for their customers! Thanks so much!

Came here with a friend and her baby and got sat at the bar area. Not a good place for a baby. We asked to move to the other side and were told no problem. When we sat at our new table it took a good 45 minutes to get a server to take our food order. Waiters and waitresses passed by our table and not one bothered to ask if we’re ready to order. Props to one busboy who kept checking back on us asking if we had been helped. Funny thing is that the restaurant wasn’t even halfway full. After a good 45 minutes a blonde waitress comes to take our order. We voiced our complaint that we had been waiting for almost an hour and her response was«oh sorry, what would you like to order?» Like okay just ignore what I said. At the end the manager was kind enough to discount our tab but I don’t think I will be back to this Lucile’s location for a while.

Perhaps being southern and going here is always a disappointment. Kudos for having sweet tea. That being said, the ribs are tough and not remotely St Louis ribs. The signature Memphis style BBQ sauce has mustard(for those of you who are confused as to how MEMPHIS style BBQ sauce tastes like its from Columbia SC, so am I), sausage was overly greasy, over cooked and sauced for me(which is a shame, as I don’t care for the«Memphis» sauce they had. Cornbread… ha! It was a corn yellow cake with butter on the bottom(at least go on the side). But they cooked my child’s burger how he wanted it(medium rare). That tasted good. All in all, while I don’t fault this restaurant, I fault the chain. This restaurant, however, dropped a plate of hot towels in front of my toddler. Not a fan of that.

Not a huge fan. I went here once, just to try their ribs. I was disappointed. The sauce just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I’m just too used to Phil’s BBQ. Prices are also pretty exuberant too.

Love that they take reservations. I was able to get within a few hours of making it online, walked right in and was sat, there was a longer wait for those who didn’t make reservations. Staff was all super friendly and nice. Our waitress was great at explaining what things were and how it worked since we hadn’t been there. Her name was Hannah, very patient. Great biscuits. They have sugar on the and come with an apple butter, we also got plain. You can add cornbread for another $.99, I believe I heard. Ordered the ½ chicken with 2 other meats. So much food for only $ 25. Also got the pulled work sandwich — I liked that you pick which of their 3 signature sauces you add since they are on the table. I didn’t like the rib tips, too much fat and cartilage. The baked beans have a small kick and have meat mixed in. I would try the Mac and cheese next time. They gave us a cute, complimentary birthday dessert with a candle(no singing, which I like).

We decided to try it out for our first time after a long day at Disneyland, the food is great here, and alot of it, but not to the point that you’re sick and tired of eating it. Our server was excellent forgot her name, but remind us of Rachael Leigh Cook, quick with drinks, and also knew her menu well enough to offer suggestions. Only reason I couldn’t give them the last half star(should be 4 ½-but can’t do that in Unilocal) was that the appetizers came out late, right before the meals. All in all the employees were great and courteous, and their butter and biscuits was the best I’ve ever had!

I always come here on my way home from Disneyland! It’s sooo good. Their baked beans– WOW. My only regret is not ordering two sides of the beans. I get either ribs or brisket, and they are both good. Generous portions– so I make sure I either split items or have leftovers. Their sweet tea is delicious, and I also enjoy the mac n cheese, and greens… and that says a lot because I think a lot of places do not know to properly prepare mac n cheese and greens!

Came here because I have been to another Lucille’s location and like the food. My waiter Alberto never came to take my drink order. I think the manager signaled another employee, Daniel, to come and take my drink order. He was awesome. He took my drink order and said that my server Alberto(honestly I think that was what he said his name was). I saw the server walking around to the other tables not once at least popping in to say«be right with you» or something to that effect. Finally, Daniel noticed the intended server had not been by. So he came and took my order. The food came quick. But was brought to me again by another server, which is not uncommon. What is up with that dude? I am not leaving a tip so that awful server can benefit from it. He finally came by to «see if everything was alright». I asked for a refill of my strawberry lemonade. Which, by the way, took him about 5 mins! He walks around like he is God’s gift to the service industry. You come to restaurants to be served. And you expect that service to be done well, for which you tip well or bad or not at all for terrible service. No tip today. Giving 3 stars for the food and the server, Daniel.

Went here for my bday and it was such a great experience. Jessica was our server of the night. She made sure to check on us often and was being smiley the whole time. We ordered the trio of beef ribs, chicken and tri tip. All were perfect! I’ve only eaten here twice and I know forsure it’s become one of my new favorite places to dine at. The biscuits are to die for! Strawberry lemonade was good. Jessica was nice enough to pack up some complimentary biscuits and lemonade to go for us as well. Now that’s how you service. Will be back forsure!

Yay! I’m a fan! I wrote this 2 days after the visit so that I wasn’t walking into the review in a food induced euphoria, or the WTF effect of dropping $ 100 for 3 people to eat in essentially just a NOISYDINER rather a good clear head space about what I had experienced. Let’s be fair, the food here is good and is always consistently good but there is really nothing about this place that takes it above and beyond a Denny’s experience. The noise level in this particular location is extremely high and that is a major downer if you are there for a good conversation with your friends and family try to get into the section near the bar area. This spot is full of the Disneyland tourist families and is always busy and if you show up on the weekend prepare for a wait to sit and a wait for your food. The best thing this place has going for it is that there is always that same feeling when you leave… The food was good but not out of this world and unless you where super hungry when you walked in the door you will most likely be taking something home with you. It feels like the price of their meals have gone up since the last visit, I paid over $ 90 for 3 people(10oz Brisket, and 2 ½ racks with 3 Sweet Teas, no desserts, maybe I should have looked closer at the receipt!) plus a tip takes you over $ 110 to eat BBQ which in my mind isn’t a value. But the food was good!

Saturday dinner with reservations for a party of 9 We ordered the sampler appetizer. It had fried okra, green fried tomatoes, chicken fingers, sausages, small pieces of ribs(i think, something drenched in bbq suace).sweet potato fries… i think that was it? and it was served wtih 3 different dipping sauce. All the items were as basic as it could get. Nothing jaw dropping and made me want more. But if youre hungry, and want a little bit of everything, this is the dish for you. It was HUGE. For our main course, we ended up getting the family feast that feeds up to 10 people. The course included: ribs, sausages, briskets, & chicken. Everything was okay, saucy so the proteins weren’t dry or anything. But the sauce they drenched the protein in were all very similar. It seems like the chicken and the ribs were covered in the same thick BBQ sauce. The sausage and brisket were soaking int he same dish sharing the same liquid base as well. The course came with 6 sides. We ordered: potato salad(pretty good in flavor), creamy cheese grits(eh…something wasn’t right), coleslaw(refreshing and not too saucy), garlic mashed potato(decent), collard greens(a bit too sour), mac & cheese(basic). The service was okay, our waitress was very nice, but was not on point with our service. We were seated towards the back corner of the closed off patio… so maybe we were out of sight out of mind? but she came once and a while but majority of the time we had to wave her down. Plus… we had to ask for new plates when our course came… she kinda left us with the small appetizer pates the whole time.

I came during lunch time for a change. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad off the lunch menu($ 9.95). It was decent, I think I would have preferred mixed greens instead of the boring iceberg lettuce. Chicken was good, and the onion straws on top made the salad not so boring. The biscuits came out fresh and warm, can never go wrong with those! We were greeted and seated right away. :)

Oh when am I going to learn? Lucille’s hasn’t been good for almost ten years. When they came on the scene initially and only had a few locations, everything was tasty; the ribs were juicy and meaty, the tri tip was like filet, and the potatoes were heavenly. Ok, granted the potatoes(and the BBQ chicken) are still very good, but everything else is just dreadful. Rip Tips were like burned jerky. Very chewy, hard, crusty, and impossible to swallow without a lot of sauce and water. St. Louis Ribs were anorexic, and what little meat was present was burned. Terrible. Meat wasn’t even tender; it felt more like chips(splinters probably would be a more accurate term). Tri Tip slices were soft, but dry. They weren’t tender and they were not flavorful in the least bit. Everything needed extra sauce. BBQ half chicken was very good, so that’s why I’m giving 2 stars. Soft, moist, light smoky taste. I’d order this again for sure. Country Fried Chicken was a huge let down. They’re not pieces of chicken like one would expect when you hear«country fried chicken.» No. You get IKEA style flat packed particle board«meat.» It’s battered then fried then covered in a strange tasting gravy. Free honey biscuits are AMAZING! I’d happily come back for these along with the BBQ chicken. The last two or three times I visited a Lucille’s were all disappointing. Roughly ten years ago when they came on the scene, I was happy, but it’s been an obvious decline in the face of expansion. The clientele just doesn’t know any better I suppose. I will say that the service was very friendly. The girl who answered the phone(Lindsey?) was sweet and didn’t sound rushed, impatient, or bored despite the dinner rush(I ordered at 7:30pm on a Thursday). When my husband went to pick up the order, he said the girl at the counter was also very friendly. And before you say it was because I ordered take out, my previous two visits here were dine-in and they were pretty much the same as what I experienced last night. So 2 stars is fair enough for the $ 65 order which mostly went to the garbage with the exception of the poultry and biscuits. My fault for ordering from here again after having more than adequate evidence that it’s essentially tourist food.
