Our child needed to see an opthalmologist rather urgently. I called on a Friday for an appointment, but Dr. Nankin was booked solid for two months. However, his staff really went the extra mile to accommodate us. They called me the next day — on a Saturday — to let me know we could be seen Monday morning. What a huge relief! His office is quite busy, but his staff handled everything — from paperwork, to a preliminary exam, to pupil dilation — with amazing efficiency. Dr. Nankin performed a thorough exam and addressed our concerns to our satisfaction. Our experience was quite positive.

We were referred to Dr. Nankin by our son primary doctor. My son was premature at birth, 10 weeks early, 3lbs 1oz. He was 6 months old when I first took him to Dr. Nankin. I’m not going to pretend I am doctor and I know everything. I am, however, my sons only advocate. We went to Dr. Nankin until my son was almost 3 years old. Everytime we were in and out in 20 minutes, seems great. Until we ended up going to another doctor were the appointment took 2 hours & they were thorough and told me that my son has a possibly PERMANENT«lazy» eye, where his left eye turns in when he is looking up close. This«new» doctor made sure to tell me that he should of NEVER had the same prescription for 3YEARS. Dr. Nankin is nice enough, but he is NOT thorough in the least. & the fact that my son could be permanently harmed because of it, pisses me of frankly. Also, I don’t know how«referrals» work because we use our state-aide health insurance. But I am pretty sure that I shouldn’t need a new referral every time I call. Even when a appointment is canceled. Than they request TWOMORE referrals & those are«used» too but we never went into the office. Seems fishy to me. I don’t plan on going back, period.
