I was getting my care repaired (Don’t Ask– let’s just say the jalopy is on life support at this point) and the sweet mechanic (who no doubt felt sorry for me and shall be the subject of another review) pointed me towards this place.
I figured I could drown my sorrows in a diet coke and a little somethin’ somethin’.
Its a clean little café, very homey and friendly, and there’s off-​menu homemade bean burrito and other Mexican fare in addition to sandwiches that are on the menu. It smelled really good in there too and I love Lucy was playing on the TV.
So, if you are stuck on Orange-​Olive Street in Orange, CA, don’t pass up Nunu’s.

I went to mail international packages and saw Nunu’s Café. Always want to try new restaurants and had a great find this time. Nunu was behind the counter, all smiling, under the colorful order menu. Her bright and genuine smile immediately won me over. I ordered a pastrami sandwich. It was what a pastrami sandwich should be, juicy and tender pastrami with the right combination of pickle and mustard on wheat bread. I asked Nunu to give my compliment to the chef. Momentarily Mama came out to greet me, saying I could order anything and she would make it for me. What a lovely, kind and talented chef she was!
Then I became a regular. So far, I have tried Chicken Pesto, Philly Steak, Roast Beef, and Ruben on Rye. I bumped into another guy who was doing the same, trying to have every sandwich on the menu! I also recommended Nunu“s for my company lunch event and it was a great hit. If you are eating out everyday in the Orange area, Nunu’s is a must-​try place. Well, words can never do justice with great taste. You’ve got to try it yourself…

Mission Viejo, CA
This is my first time eating here. I had stopped by a few months ago when I went to the post office next door to check out their juices but I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t get anything. Finally came back today and got a green juice and turkey sandwich. Sandwich was pretty big (I would say about 8 to 12 inches) and it came with a bag of chips. Juice was delicious and freshly made! Customer service was excellent! Will definitely be coming back! (Oh! They also have salads, tacos, and burritos. Will try to take pics and post!)
