Customer service is really great, but when it comes to the food I have had a few issues lately. I usually order a tri-tip salad from here every Saturday — when they are good, they are the best salad I have ever had, but when they are bad, I feel like I’ve wasted my money. The last few salads that I have ordered have been hit or miss. Either they only fill up the container half way or as can be seen from my pictures — only include fatty, inedible pieces of tri-tip. Without the tri-tip, this turns into an expensive($ 7) and glorified side salad with a touch of blue cheese. Also, I’m about 90% certain that sometimes they use zucchini instead of cucumber even though these two items are not interchangeable. Will I come back? Yes, but probably not anytime in the near future.

Menu is quite extensive. Was in the mood for a burger and saw on the special board a 1⁄3 double double with cheese fries and drink for under $ 7 and I was like wow big burger! This burger was great with all fresh condiments and a fresh bun and not to mention great meat cooked to your liking. This place has nice deli sandwiches and an extensive Mexican menu also. I will be back

Stopped in at this little jewel almost by accident. Had to buy dinner to bring to a friend whose son had just committed suicide. They made an extra effort to make the dinners«homey» and prepared them with care and a personal touch.

Great sandwiches, great friendly customer service, and great atmosphere to grab a delicious fill you up meal. I ordered the meatball sub as my Fiancé ordered the Italian sub. We split halves. wasn’t disappointed for sharing.(usually am) both were authentic tasting. We found this place on of course random current location searching on Unilocal.will come back to try another. 5 stars!

Stopped by today for the chicken bacon avocado sandwich, was delicious. Service was great too, friendly staff, clean place. Located next to the Orange Tree Liquor Store. Don’t forget to check-in on Unilocal for a freebie. Will definitely be back!

I’ve eaten carry out from here a couple times. The food is always decent, not terrific but good. I’ve tried sandwiches here before and liked them. So I thought it would ok for dinner. I had the pesto chicken sandwich. Their menu mentions nothing about pepper jack cheese or lettuce tomato, but it comes with it. The sandwich itself was pretty good. I wouldn’t get it again but still good. My husband had the sausage & peppers sandwich. This sandwich is also misleading because no where in the description does it mention marinara on the sandwhich. Or the fact that despite the name you will hardly get any peppers but you’ll get half an onion. I understand that onions are cheaper than peppers and you want to cut corners. Change your menu then. Simple. I will not be coming back here again. I’d rather spend my money on really good food.

I like this place. Their sandwiches are good and the sides I have had are as well. I wish they were open more, I would totally pick up their sandwiches for dinner, but they close when I get off work. I also feel like they are really slow, they take a long time to make the sandwiches, even when they aren’t busy. I have had a large turkey sandwich with avocado. Very tasty, but the large is HUGE! Even a small is very big, so unless you are starving or you want to save your sandwich for the next day, stick with small. Small roast beef with cheese is what I had yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I like how chewy their bread is. They go overboard on the tomatoes, but they are really big pieces so they’re easy to remove. Their chili and their pasta salad are both really tasty. They have a huge menu that also includes Mexican food. I definitely want to try more of their menu instead of basic turkey & roast beef sandwiches.

Long wait for an overpriced sandwich that left little to be desired. Ordered a small Italian sub with a potato salad and was less than impressed with the hoagie. I grew up right around the corner from this place and we used to buy sandwiches there when I was in high school. I remember them as always having big fat sandwiches for a cheap price. It now seems like they have little bitty teeny sandwiches for an expensive price. Don’t get me wrong, the food is fresh. But my sandwich had about 2 mm of meat on it no cheese and was soggy with Italian dressing. For nine dollars it was not a good meal. I would rather go to Subway and get Italian BMT. I like to support local family owned businesses but this one is fallen way off the charts. Apparently they’re trying to raise prices While change more money for less value. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.

I enjoyed my first experience at Orange Tree. It is a super casual lunch spot, and both my fiancé and I were happy with what we ordered. He had a turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich on a croissant and I had a meatball sub — both were delicious! We were both actually full from just eating half a sandwich and chips so we actually ended up having leftovers as well, which were actually just as good as the first time. Happy to have another place to eat in Orange!

Great service! We were greeted with a smile and our Unilocal special was honored a free drink and a cookie! We ordered two wet chicken burritos and a tri tip sandwich. I asked for a raisin cookie and my husband asked for a macadamia nut cookie and they are both just absolutely so good!!! We are waiting on our order and I cannot wait to post the picture of our food!

I was in the area for work and read about this place and how great it was and the free check-in goodies etc. so I purchased a Unilocal deal($ 7 for $ 10) and presented it to the cashier and she said she thought it’s spend $ 20 and you can use the voucher. She confirmed with an older gentleman(I’m assuming the owner or one of them and was impressed he spoke Spanish to the kitchen cook) and he said I had to spend $ 20 to use it. I didn’t argue and paid for my meal outright. Nowhere on the Unilocal voucher did it say I had to spend $ 20(basically, I’m right) but I was in a rush and he was quite assertive about the spend $ 20 to get $ 10 off deal and didn’t bother to read or check the voucher on my phone. That, for me, took one star off the experience. I ordered a turkey, bacon, avocado and it automatically comes on a croissant. I can tell you it’s a pretty good sized sandwich, tasted great, the croissant wasn’t your typical overly flakey buttery Costco croissant and was a little sturdier and I’d probably guess it came from the donut shop next door. The turkey was fresh, bacon was on point and avocado was as well. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area and want a quick sandwich to go that’s filling and tasty. My friend/co-worker ordered the chicken enchilada plate and said it was good. Definitely a mom and pop spot, and the line may be a little long at lunch time but our food came out in a timely manner and we were in and out of there in 30 minutes.

Unilocal reviews for the mother flocking win! Thank you Unilocal for coming through in Spades! We were shopping nearby on Tustin St. when everyone’s tummy started rumbling. I was with my parents and they were useless when it comes to picking a place to eat. I didn’t much care either way… so, the task was left to my boo thang. She went directly to Unilocal to find us something good nearby. Unilocal recommended Orange Tree Deli with a staggering 4.5 Star review. We had to try it. My only gripe is the parking. It was a total bitch to park but we finally got lucky. We got there early enough to avoid the lunch rush. My mother ordered the Tri-Tip cheesesteak sandwich, pop and I got the pastrami, and Shannon went with the classic Rueben. It was good; real good. I’ve been to Kat’z deli in New York and this Pastrami could last 10 rounds in the ring with that. It wouldn’t win the bout but it would go the distance. The bread is nice and the meat is flavorful. One other thing about this place, it respects Unilocal and has a flawless profile. We are talking full menu, tons of pics, coupons, delivery, etc. You won’t find a more polished Unilocal profile. Well done Orange Tree Deli!

If you are in the hunt for a quality deli in the So Cal area then you needn’t look any further than the Orange Tree Deli. The staff that works here is top notch and always friendly, the prices are affordable and sandwiches are fresh and well crafted. They have all of your standard deli fare such as turkey, ham, tuna, italian and many other great deli sandwiches and sides but also features a small mexican menu as well as some amazing looking barbecue going on outside in the lot out front. The parking here like many other places around the area can be a bit tough to find at times but there is enough street parking nearby to not make it too much of a burden. Orange Tree Deli offers a Unilocal check-in offer for a free cookie, drink or nag of chips so be sure to take advantage of this. Like other reviews have mentioned in the past they also offer a online service to order and pay for your food prior to arrival which allows you to schedule a time frame and is perfect for take out. On both of my visits here I have opted to go with the Turkey sandwich(my typical go to sandwich of choice) but unfortunately had a bit of a tough time getting what I wanted the first go around due to confusion on the sandwich sizes listed on the menu. I ordered a large turkey on sourdough and was told the large had to be made on the roll which is not what I wanted. They ended up doubling up on the meat and shoving it all into the sourdough bread as I wanted but it was a bit confusing overall to me which is what holds them back from a 5 for me. I have no trouble getting a large turkey on sourdough at other delis nearby so I am not sure why this is an issue here. My 2nd visit I remembered this encounter and simply went ahead and ordered it on the roll to make things easy and surefire and it was good but I still prefer the sourdough overall. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the food here and they have a large enough menu to make a fan out of anyone. The seating is usually ample inside but this place does almost always get packed during peak lunch hours so you have been warned. I love sandwiches and just typing this review already has me salivating for another visit. This is definitely one of the deli’s I will continue to most frequently visit I just hope that they will be able to work out the few minor kinks I have encountered.
