This is a little hole-in-the wall place that serves a working-class Latino clientele, but they make some excellent pupusas, a Salvadorean specialty. For the unfamiliar, these are made with what are sort of like thick, soft tortillas, filled with whatever you choose; the possible fillings include things like pork, fish, beans, cheese, squash, etc., and they come with pickled cabbage and salsa. They’re freshly made and very good — also quite reasonable. They also have small soft tacos and many other entrees, as well as horchata and other drinks. Everything I’ve had here has been good. If you love or miss good Salvadorean food, check this place out. There are a few tables and a TV blaring in Spanish, but we always get takeout(which takes about 10 or 15 minutes: it’s all fresh cooked). The place is just on the other side of 280 from the NJ Transit RR station in Orange, easily walkable from the station. Street parking is usually available and the location seems perfectly safe to me(plenty of people around). The employees are nice and they speak perfectly good English.
