This place is amazing. Fresh ingredients, lots of food, quick, and super healthy. Best tasting ahi bowl I have ever had !

I am seriously addicted to this place. It’s actually a bit embarrassing how often I go there. I wanted to keep this as my little secret. But for the good of humanity I’m willing to share I’m mean most poki places have fresh good quality fish but this place has the whole package and they don’t charge extra for things like avocado, miso soup, fish eggs… Seriously I could happily eat this stuff every day for the rest of my life.

Since trying this place, it has come into my top 3 fave Poke places. My friend and I got here around 7pm for dinner and it was not crowded at all. This place is like a mom-and-pop shop. Small, simple, and clean(most important!). There are two bowl sizes: Regular(3 scoops of fish), and large(? scoops of fish). I decided to get the regular and it was just the right portion — they weren’t stingy at all. A big plus here is that you get a free mini miso soup! Did not expect that. Will definitely be back. :)

Yum!!! My first visit & I got: brown rice, everything but crab, spicy tuna/shrimp/yellowtail & all the toppings! Small bowl of miso soup is included. I will definitely be back to try the other sauces.

Solid poke joint and friendly service. For the price, pretty good portion sizes and decent freshness for the fish. All the ‘standard’ items that should be included are included at no extra charge(e.g. scoop of masago, avocado, crabmeat, cucumber, etc). Their sauces aren’t bad, but my wife and I agreed that there wasn’t quite enough sauce mixed in with the fish(or for whatever reason it just ended up not being as flavorful as we expected). They also include a small bowl of miso soup, which was an unexpected and nice bonus.

While I do like this place they are slow and although I’ve asked for light on the sauce they still drown the fish in sauce. Serving sizes are a little smaller than most other poke places but its conveniently located and the staff try very hard to please.

Simple and fresh… just the way I like it! Also, love that it’s within walking distance from home.

Grabbed some lunch here today and was pleasantly blown away. After hearing some absolutely rotten news, I was in need of some good food and wow, did this place ever deliver. Absolutely delicious Poke with the option of a number of tasty Sushi told on top of it. Go here or miss out on the best Poke place in Orange.

This place is AWESOME! You must go here if you are nearby. Fish is fresh– prices are really reasonable. My husband and I love the poki bowl — get the large for sure(for $ 2 more you get another 2 big scoops of fish). We get the brown rice, avocado, TWO scoops of crabmeat, salmon, 2 spicy tuna, yellow tail, and DEFINITELY the hot chili AND sesame shoyu sauce. Make sure you get both sauces as these are SO delish! Everyone who works there is so friendly– if you aren’t sure what you want, they have great suggestions. I recommend pickup as the sitting area is small and no beer, but this place is the best! Clean, friendly, delicious food, quick service, and very good prices.

Service was great, food was not. Ordered(to-go) a regular bowl with white rice, yellowtail and salmon, added crab($ 1) and avocado($ 1), and spicy mayo. Rice was mealy and flavorless, fish had fishy taste and smell. Avocado tasted like frozen store-bought guacamole. Crab was the only ingredient with any depth of flavor, and I’m being pretty charitable there. $ 9.45 and I had to throw most of it away. Closest poki place to home and it was a big bummer.

I been here several times and every time I get the poke bowl here I am never disappointed. I tried all kinds different combinations and my most favorite combo would be with yellowtail, salmon, and tuna. I know this will sound crazy but a mixture of all the sauces is where it is at! The service here was great, the owner is incredibility friendly and likes to get to know his regulars which is a plus in my book. The place is a little small, but I come for the food! PokiYa is a little hidden shop hiding behind a restaurant so if you aren’t paying attention chance are you’ll miss it. The prices are relatively cheap for how much you get. $ 9.45 for a regular and I get full off just that. I would highly recommend this place to anyone around the area if you are having the fish crave.

Pretty good! Small place inside with only 7 seats. Ordered a regular bowl $ 9 which came with 3 scoops of fish. I like the option of half and half chips and rice, because too much rice makes the meal bland. Got the albacore, salmon, and yellowtail. Their fish tasted fresh, sauces were good, and they were not stingy on the meat! I like how a scoop of avocado is not extra as well! A good spot if you’re craving poke!

Finally a Poki place I can bring my boyfriend as he is the pickiest when it comes to poki. The fish is fresh and there is many choices of seafood you can add to your bowl. It is a great take-out location as there isn’t much seating for dining in, and with the few seats there are, I wouldn’t feel comfortable dining at this tiny location. I got the Regular bowl with salmon, and for the sauce, I was unfamiliar with their spicy sauce they use, but they gave me a sample to try without hesitation! I ended up getting the sesame shoyu mixed with the spicy sauce as it creates a nice flavor and I found out it was their favorite combination too! Also they have a punch card so if you buy a certain amount of poki bowls you get a discount or a free one? Will be coming back because I love poki and this is the only poki restaurant my boyfriend will step foot in.

After my trip to the gym, I was disappointed Acai Joint closed down. In search of a nearby lunch spot, Unilocal helped direct me to Poki Ya. This small poke joint is behind Starbucks, in the same plaza as the Mongolian and Subway restaurants, off of Chapman Ave. Parking can be tough if Starbucks gets busy. Reviews were somewhat hit or miss, it seemed like. I was so hungry I didn’t mind. When I got there, I noticed how small the place was. There were only a couple of tables available for seating. The menu is clear and up top. Japanese pop music was playing. The server was kind but did not say much. He started out by asking if I wanted a bowl and how many scoops of fish. When I told him I wanted white rice, he scooped some in the bowl and checked with me if the amount was ok. I liked that. They have several types of fish to choose from. I got tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. I don’t remember how the tuna was, but the yellowtail was not bad. I wasn’t sure what sauce to choose, so the guy put in some miso and sesame shoyu. The mixture wasn’t bad, but I think it could have been better or stronger. I think they have a limited variety of toppings, but I like that they include avocado. You would only have to pay additional $ 1 if you asked for extra avocado. Most other poke places will charge for getting avocado at all. I’m not sure I enjoy the vibe here. It seems to fit in with the other local businesses here in Orange. It’s good for a quick lunch or dinner to go, but not a good place for sit down meals. Ask for a stamp card if you plan on becoming a frequent flyer here. You get the 10th bowl free!

Stopped by at Poki Ya to have lunch with my boyfriend while he was working. The plaza that it was in was crazy busy! It is a cute small location tucked away in the starbucks plaza, probably would not have noticed it if it wasn’t recommended to us by my boyfriend’s coworker. I felt like the food was just average, not too special. The workers there are super nice and they offer a stamp card. We ordered a side of seaweed salad but the worker informed us they were almost out thats why our container wasn’t full but offered us free miso soup! They also serve the poke over rice thats really hot and it kind made my fish warm, which I didn’t like. Overall it was okay, probably a really popular lunch place for all the business and hospital workers around the area.

Another poke option in Orange! The staff is very friendly and you get a stamp card for a free bowl after buying 9, not bad at all. The place is very small so it’s definitely good for take out. On my last visit, I got 3 scoops($ 8.5) salmon, tuna and octopus. Toppings are free and include crabmeat, cucumber, avocado, green onions, etc. The 5 scoops bowl is definitely worth the additional $ 2. With the 3 scoops I was ok but not very full. Not sure if it’s because we went on a Sunday evening right before closing but the quality of the fish is definitely not as fresh as other places. It tastes fine but it does not melt in your mouth if you know what I mean. Due to convenience, I would probably be a regular here but for better quality, I would drive a bit further.

As the Poke spots keep growing the small trend of Poke spots naming it «Poki» is also growing with Pokinometry, Poki Monster, and now Poki Ya. This trend can only be good, if they have good food, and this place has good Poki. This is a great service to this side of Orange. The other spot, on the other side of the freeway couple exits north that I am famously in love with, and is my favorite Poke spot is Poke District. This place cannot outwit my favorite, but it does have some similarities. One that that I do like is that they both have frequency cards. They want you to come back and I always want to come back for a free one after ten meals. *Amigo Burrito — this is the surprise item that I didn’t think would be that great, but is probably a favorite of mine because of the flavor they put into it. It’s decently size and fun to have a sushi burrito now and then as compared to eating it Poke bowl Style. This is a spicier crabmeat, from the regular one that they offer. Then it has pieces of what I think are crawfish or small shrimp. It definitely does add to the goodness of the burrito. This is definitely a try. **Poke Bowl — This has great affordability because it comes with Miso. I always like added value to my meal. I got the 5 scoop(Large) and I got Spicy Tuna and Salmon. Then I added spicy Mayo to it. It definitely had me going for the Miso to cool my mouth down. The quantity is good and quality is AOK. This place has overall great value, quantity and quality. I will be around here more often especially with the frequency card. Thank you.

Another poke place has set up shop in small center with Starbucks. More like 3.5 stars, but since their a new business, I’ll round up. Their concept is about the same as other poke places where you choose 3($ 8.50) or 5($ 10.50) scoops of fish, a base of white or brown rice, salad, chips, or a wrap in soy paper. Your toppings include avocado, crabmeat, onions, and cucumbers which are all free. They have a lot of different seafood options which include salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, yellowtail, octopus, albacore, shrimp, or crabmeat. Then you choose your sauce which are spicy mayo, sesame shoyu, miso, or hot chili sauce. I opted for a bowl with three scoops over white rice with salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna and with a combination of the spicy mayo and shoyu sauce. I like that they give you free avocado here and it’s not an extra cost. The sauce combination I chose really complemented each other and gave my bowl a slight spicy kick. Overall the bowl I had was good, but not the best. The fish seemed relatively fresh. I felt like the amount of rice they gave was a bit small. On their menu, they also have sides like seaweed, gyoza, miso soup, and different sushi rolls you can order. Service was very helpful and sweet. He even gave me a bowl of miso soup for being a first time customer. They also give you a stamp card where your 10th bowl will be free. This is a very small shop with maybe 7 seats inside and a couple tables outside if you opt to dine in.
