Ehhhh. The only thing unlimited about my turkey sandwich was the lettuce. I tried to deviate from my regular place and give this place a shot, but I won’t be returning. Tasted like the average corner store sandwich.

Have been going to this place since I was like 5 with my mommy and I have nothing but fond memories of my mom ordering Italian cheeseburgers stockpiled with onions, cheese and chunky fries. Friendly place and still berry berry delicious. Can’t help but to get nostalgic and miss my mommy every time I come here(parents moved to another region). Will be back when in the area. Love this place!

The food is good but, I don’t understand why you have 8 people literally working behind a counter to make a Sandwhich. It should only take 1… it’s like hit or miss with the staff sometimes their really nice or just rude!!!

This place frequently caters at my job– the roast beef is to die for! Excellent salads and cakes, the staff is incredibly friendly. I don’t know what the in-store experience is like but I would love to check it out!

So yea, the service was pretty bad but I can’t help but love this place. It reminds me of my childhood. Can’t get more better or more jersey than an Italian hamburger(unlimited burger) haha But seriously the wait took forever, they forgot about my order and they spent a lot more time distracting themselves from working than getting stuff down. There seemed to be way too many people working and not enough being accomplished. However, every one was polite when needed, it seemed pretty clean and my sandwich was great once I got it.

GHETTO! We arrived to the store, ready to place our order and the person taking the orders started to talk in great lenghts about different topics, eventually my sister randomly just burted out our order and then it was processed. The worst part was when it was time to pay. There were two cashiers on one register, then one just walked away. I asked the other girl the price of a bag a chips and she said«I dont know, you have to wait for the other cashier to return, she went to get a hair net». We waited another 5⁄6 minutes before can pay for the food. The food is good but definitely overpriced!!!

There are several Sandwiches Unlimited in the Oranges. But the one I frequent since the 80’s is this one in Orange. It is in my top 3 picks for sub shops in the area. What has been consistent is the loaded sub you’ll get packed full of meat and fresh veggies. There is a nice variety of traditional cold subs as well as hot sandwiches including local favorites like«Italian» sandwiches(hot dogs, burgers, steak, chicken cutlet, etc); this means they contain french fries and onions & peppers if you like. They have pastrami and corned beef, which I prefer steamed and not grilled. I’ve had all the above which would require a separate mixed review. I generally get my usual, which is standard for most shops I visit, turkey and prov. or the #1 which is «cold cuts». My favorite is the turkey, I love their turkey, it is addictive. I get it with everything and sometimes ½ with sweet peppers; heaven. Sometimes I’ll pick up one of their slices of homemade cakes, which are delicious and put you in a food coma after all the sandwich goodness. The yellow with chocolate icing and the coconut with pineapple filling are ridiculously good. All this is probably the reason I don’t have the heart to give it 3 stars. Would give 5 stars but the bread is not always consistent. I tried to over look this but it has happened several times. I’m refraining from being too critical but customer service is also a big part of a great food experience. That is not always consistent either. It depends on if you walk in at a bad time or if the manager is present. These are the unspoken things like waiting for someone to say«can/may I help you» or employees engaging in long personal conversations or playing around while you’re putting your order in. Have had instances where called in phone orders were screwed up. So it might be best to go in person. It’s also pretty cool to see your sandwich being crafted. Overall many of the employees are on point, especially if the owner is present. A lot of folk come through there, from near and far. I’ve lived in other states and always come back to one of my favorite spots as well as bring friends to get a taste. Overall it’s worth the visit. I have to get some more pics.

It’s a local version of a subway with a larger verity of eating options. If you are worried about getting the right amount of food for your dollar, you are definitely getting more for what you are paying.

They make great sandwiches. The only complaint I have is that they have like 100 people behind the counter(yes, slight exaggeration) but they are all talking to each other, joking, etc. that they take FOREVER to complete your order! Hence the 3 stars. Get to work guys.

Working in Orange, this has become one of my frequent lunch spots. The place is usually pretty busy for lunch but they are efficient. I have gotten corned beef almost every time I’ve come here because I am a huge fan. First few times got a sandwich; lately got it in a salad. The prices are a bit high but they are using meat, cheese, veggies, etc. so I suppose you can’t complain too much. Good variety of drinks and desserts(cookies, cake, cupcakes, etc.) also. Aside from the prices, the other thing I kind of did not like was that the onion rings I ordered once were frozen. I suppose that making your own fries and onion rings is time consuming for a place that specializes in sandwiches but still. The quality of the veggies is good though. I saw a truck delivering fresh grown produce the other day.

I was in the area and remembered the great reviews. The place is set up the way a good sandwich shop/deli should be and the staff was nice and attentive. I was in the mood for a cold sandwich so I looked in the deli case. They had a large selection of low quality deli meats that did not look appetizing. After reading the reviews of the Italian Cheese Burger, I figured that was the way to go. I ordered and then saw the cook put frozen hamburger patties on the griddle. Then frozen fries went in the fryer. Not a good start. How hard is it to buy fresh meat and cut potatoes?! I was starving so I began to take down the ICB. But it was inedible! The hamburger patty had lots of pieces of cartilage or something hard in them. Anybody see Fast Food Nation? I threw it out and got lunch elsewhere.

OHMY! I’m speechless really! I had eaten there a few years back but I don’t quite remember the experience. However I decided to go in & order what we call in my town on Long Island a Cheeseburger Chopped Hoagie. Let me tell you it was the best one I EVERHAD! We had a shop in a local town that made a pretty good one too but Sandwhiches Unlimited is on another plain. The bread was AMAZING! So soft beyond words. The guy that made the sandwhich was extremely welcoming & nice. If it was any negative I would say the lady at the register was not as warm as I like when I’m spending money. Had not been for such a great sandwhich I would cut that place off in a minute. Maybe she had an off day. This is how you order one. Cheeseburger chopped with extra mayo, ketchup(onions if you like) with lettuce & a side of fries on the sandwhich or separate. Sounds simple but definitely DELICIOUS! Sandwhich is a 10. Experience was a 9.

I love this place! They make the best Italian sandwiches and I used to go here all the time(the one in Orange); if only I still lived in Jersey. Yumm :0

Grew up on the whole ICB. Italian cheeseburger. Anytime I hit the area I goto the one in Orange. The last time I went I had the ICB without the CB. I used a couple of morningstar veggie burgers as an experiment. It worked! Just like I remember except no meat. It’s been years since I’ve eaten red meat so I’m glad it worked out. My wife had the chef salad and it was just as good as she remembered. The first one she had was about 20 yrs ago when we dated! For a spot to have that type of longevity and consistency with taste it’s no wonder they are still I’m business! Sandwiches is the best! Oh by the the new spot looks good

Walking into Sandwiches Unlimited, feels like home. The restaurant is usually bustling, filled with the sounds of music playing from the jukebox, the sizzling of real rib eye steaks on the grill, and the latest gossip around town. The sandwiches are affordable, and not your traditional deli sandwich. You can order a sandwich«unlimited» which is a standard preparation with lettuce and tomatoes or for the more adventurous diner, you can order a sandwich«Italian» with french fries inside the sandwich. Each sandwich is made fresh to order in just a matter of minutes. You can order the half or whole sandwich(trust me, half is more than enough for the average appetite). I like the fish fillet and the turkey burger unlimited(really affordable at less than $ 5/half sandwich) not to mention that the bald guy on the grill is fuckin’ sexy.

«Sandwiches» is how this eatery is known by Orange and East Orange natives. This place has been around for more than 25 years at least. I speant many a teenage night in the booths on Main St. In Orange, which was the original location. Back then I was a meat eater so the Italian cheeseburger was my favorite as it is for many. Now I’m a pescetarian(seafood only) so I get the fish or shrimp, well I would if I was to ever go back there. There are 2 stores, one in Orange and one in East Orange. I made the mistake of calling and placing an order @ the wrong one. When I showed up to get my sandwich and found out I’d called the wrong store, the staff at the Orange location refused to make the sandwich. They wanted me to go to the East Orange store and pick it up. The sandwich was $ 3. Not worth driving to another town nor loosing a customer over if you ask me, but they don’t agree. I haven’t been back since.
