Shawn Tsai Art Glass

I finally received the order of 5 glass quail on the 2^nd go around. The quail are excellent, the artwork exquisite. The only reason they still get a 3 instead of higher is because of the customer service and annoyance factor.

I have admired Shawn Tsai’s work for quite a few years as he is always a regular at the Santa Monica Craft Show (now being held in Pasadena, CA). His glass work is magnificent, and he mostly specializes in marine and animal life. The glass colors are amazing and the delicacy and intricacy of his work is outstanding. A year or so ago I purchased one of his turtles, and I love it so much I keep it in a place that I can see everyday. For a look at his work, Google Shawn Tsai and look at Google images.
Recently I purchased another one for a girlfriend’s birthday, as she also collects art turtles. I ordered it over the phone, working with Toshi, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I have had with an online vender. Toshi was in touch with me constantly, making sure that my order was shipped quickly and that the piece was to my satisfaction. For some reason USPS lost the package. When I contacted Toshi to let her know, she called me back within a half hour, even though she was traveling out of state at the time. A few days later, my new turtle arrived. She kept in touch almost everyday to let me know what was going on and when to expect my piece. I’ve worked with great vendors before, but Toshi was truly one of the best! I look forward to adding to my glass collection over the years. Beautiful art and fantastic customer service. What more could I ask for?!

Shawn Tsai is a talented artist that has perfected the art of flame-​working glass rods and shaping them into wonderous creatures of nature. His specialties are his passion for marine and wild life. I have been a fan of his since my first attendance at the Sacramento Arts Festival 3 years ago. I was mesmerized by the beautiful, colorful and intricate detailing he puts into each piece of glass art.
People often crowd around his displays asking questions and making purchases. Each sculpture captures the beauty of animals & insects with eye catching colors in delicate detail. And each year I am forced to buy something from his collection!
