I was referred to Dr. Wilson for a very complex fracture of my arm and wrist. From the moment I walked into this office I knew I was in good hands. Everyone, from the front office receptionist to Dr. Wilson treated me with courtesy, kindness, and empathy. Dr. Wilson is the best hand surgeon in Orange County. Mark, his ortho PA is wonderful, and the therapy staff are awesome. Kimberly made me believe I would recover use of my hand and encouraged me every step of the way through that long, sometimes painful process. No one could ask for better care than I received here!

Let me start off by saying that I was referred to the Hand Care Center by my primary care doctor whom I respect very much. Unfortunately, I was unable to see the doctor she had recommended because his appointments were booked far in advance(I now know why) so I had to settle for seeing another doctor at the center whom I was able to see the next week. So I ended up seeing Dr. Taliesnik. I had gone in to the Hand Care Center because I have been experiencing serious pain and weakness in my hand, wrist, and elbow. My primary doctor said she thought it was carpal tunnel and tennis elbow. I am a barista at Starbucks so this is not a surprise. The intense repetitive motions and lifting of heavy objects and squeezing of caramel bottles(ugh) would absolutely contribute to this pain. But not in Dr. Taliesnik’s eyes. I read another review on here about Dr. T and he said the same thing so I was happy to see it wasn’t just me. Dr. T started out by asking what was wrong with me. I told him about my pain and he asked why I thought I had this pain. This question struck me as odd because of the way he asked it; as if he was waiting for me to say«repetitive motion» so he could snap back and say NO! YOU’REWRONG. I was correct in assuming this because when I told him I am a barista at Starbucks and i am constantly doing the same motions and lifting and squeezing, he immediately said«Well, let me tell you why that does’t make sense.» Apparently, Dr. T is confused. He said that repetitive motion causes muscles to get stronger, so why would I feel pain and weakness? I came back with this exact quote: «Well, sure, to an extent. But if you dont ever have a break for your muscles to relax and rejuvinate, I’m sure it actually does damage.» He shook his head, looked away from me and said«No, no.» So I then said«I also believe that carpal tunnel may have something to do with bones and I am having nerve issues so strengthening my muscles wouldn’t have anything to do with this anyway.» His response was silence. ((not enough space, so part 2 continued in next review))

I have been to this facility just one time for a hand/carpel tunnel evaluation. The facility is located in the St. Joseph’s Pavillion across from St. Joseph’s Hospital. The office and staff was well organized, clean, and professional. Wait time was only about 10 minutes after paperwork was done.

I give this facility one star not because of the Dr but because of the staff. The front counter lady with the tattoos is extremely rude. When patients approach her she looks at them like she’s bothered by them. The one next to her that takes care of physical therapy is much like her if not worse. This makes me very sad because Dr Ghalambor is a great Dr and he deserves to have a hard working and professional staff that will make his office a 5 star office. These front office people don’t value their jobs.

I wasn’t pleased with the woman at the front desk. She treated me and everyone that walked into the door very rude. She and her co-workers were talking about the Bill Cosby mistress which was on tv, and she kept ranting about how ugly Bill Cosby’s mistress was. I found it very offensive, professional people at a Medical office shouldn’t be talking like they got pull on the 8th floor. And no offense, that woman who was talking about Bill Cosby’s mistress«ugly» was probably talking about herself. It ain’t like she was model beautiful, she looked more like someone from the barrio. I also didn’t like the way how the medical staff were working. They acted very unprofessional like they were at their homies house on a weekend. I wasn’t pleased with anyone at this facility because they treat all workers comp patients like we’re just another number to them. The doctors especially Dr. Wilson acted like a jerk. He didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing. Again, treating the workers comp patient like I’m just another number. I’ve learned my lesson, never trust workers comp doctors/medical professions under workers comp. they don’t really care about the patients who got injured on the job. It’s a network thing between insurance company, work companies and workers comp. these people just can’t wait to close your case even if there was negligence and mal-practice going on.
