Came here last night expecting another Pieology or Blaze Pizza. One thing that really sets this place apart is its ambience. The old-school newspaper feel really fits well with Old Town Orange. The pizza itself is what I would expect from any other custom pizza shop, but that’s probably cause I order the same custom pizza everywhere I go – red sauce with some white, mozzarella, chicken, bacon, artichoke, olives, red onions, scallions, spinach, a few jalapeños, and some pesto to top it off. I will say that the dough definitely tasted better, but it also is a little thicker than what I usually get from Pieology or Blaze. The second thing that sets this place apart is the selection of craft beer on tap. They had a few good IPAs, so I was set. The beer tap service is great as the employees are helpful with your selection and will at times sample you a taste, however, this is both appealing and a put off as the location of the beer taps are behind the cash registers and the line can backup when diners are selecting their beers. Overall, I would recommend The Pizza Press. The food, drink, ambience, and price gets my vote.

I was very impressed by Pizza Press. It is similar to Pieology, but I think they are a better place to do to because they serve craft beer and the quality of their pizza is a lot better! It is an assembly line style restaurant where you can customize one of the pizzas on the menu or you can create your own. I created my own pizza that came with the following: spicy red sauce, mozzarella, feta, & ricotta cheese, pepperonis, bacon, jalapeños & franks red sauce on top. I also asked for a side of ranch. I LOVEDIT. There are plenty of other choices of sauces, cheeses, meats, and toppings to choose from in case if I ever want to mix it up, but I have a feeling that I will be sticking with my original order for a while because it was that good! I will definitely be back!

This individual pizza place near the Old Town Orange Circle is pretty good and I would rate it equal to 800 Degrees you find in L.A. county. If that’s the type of pizza you’re looking for, then give this place a go.

Because of the crazy lines during lunch and dinner, we started using the app to place our order for pick-up. Once we check in, the pizzas are made fresh and in our bellies soon after. Ingredients taste wonderfully fresh, and perfect crust texture. We chill on the patio with our dog, and there’s usually a table open. *I’m hoping they will put in heaters one day. It’s starting to become a regular thing for us.

This is my favorite pizza place in Orange. My husband and I have five kids and it’s tough to find places that not only welcome our large family, but that serve food they ALL love! Pizza press is an entire family favorite.

Pretty good pizza. I had a job interview nearby and was pretty hungry afterwards. I hadn’t visited Old Towne Orange in a while so I thought I’d stop by and check out the area. I stumbled upon The Pizza Press and decided to try it out. I’ve been to Pieology, Pizza Studio, and a place with a similar concept in Las Vegas. Of the few restaurants with similar make-your-own set ups(which is really becoming overbearing as of late), The Pizza Press offered the best(and freshest) food. The restaurant also has a wide selection of craft beer! :O Obviously, the perfect dinner combination. The employees were extremely friendly and the service was really good. I was even able to get some work done since they offer extremely quick wifi. The bathrooms were pretty neat too(and clean). Would definitely come back again if ever in the area!

Amazing pizza. It’s a must try place in Old town Orange. You get to pick your own toppings and the pizza is big enough to share. It’s a lot of food. They also have a cool large list of beers. The staff are friendly and very fun. I also love the outdoor seating choice so you can people watch.

Sooooooo my BF and I have come here quite a few times and all I have ever done is upload a picture hahaha. Shame on me for not checking in or writing a review. I blame the pizza lol. I was so busy building my own personal food frisbee of fun and not wanting to waste any time enjoying it that I totally spaced. So here is the long long over due post. Ready … AMAZING! F**king FANTASTIC. Sorry pieology… but not sorry. The Pizza Press just did it better lol GREAT place packed with rad people and fresh ingredients. Every slice packs a punch full of flavor & custom liking. PLUS, you can top it off with a side of epic beer! Heaven better have one of these joints haha. Anyways great spot to hit up on anyway of the week and any time of the year! I have been and will be back… ALOT. SEEYATHERE !!!

Walking in I fell in love with the theme and everything! They had a newspaper stand holding the menus and actual newspaper! Their pizza dough is lightly spritzed with olive oil and then pressed into a pizza shaper. I picked Pink Sauce which is a combination of Alfredo and Marinara as my base. Topped it with parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese balls. MY!(My pizza came out super cheesy!) anyways… I topped it with pepperoni, pineapples, jalapeños, & zucchini then into the oven it went! I used to work at Papa John’s a few years back and standing there waiting for the pizza to run through the oven brought back some fond memories. The guys finished the fresh hot pizza with cilantro and BBQ sauce and some ranch on the side to dip for later. I paid with a card and off I left.

I never crave pizza but I think I will crave pizza from this place now. SOGOODOMG. The set up is like pieology and blaze but this place tastes even better. The ingredients are rich and fresh. The crust is delicious. I wish I knew about this place sooner because it’s so good, plus the theme is nice haha I got publish your own pizza w pink and white sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I also got a craft beer(Cali Creamin NITRO) which was very unique and has a interesting, refreshing taste of vanilla. Great recommendations for the beer, kudos! Price is affordable. Pizza was $ 8 and beer was $ 7. Definitely will come back.

Where old-school ambience meets fresh, fast pizza! Seriously, this place is the best custom order pizza spot in OC! The line is usually wrapped half around the bar but hey, the freshness is well worth the wait! They offer great deals to Chapman students — 10% off entire order or a free water bottle with an adult sized pizza. Bring the family along for a quick night out or meet friends for some craft beer and pizza — trust me you won’t be disappointed with The Pizza Press of Orange!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Ok, too much? With the recent onslaught of build-your-own pizza places, I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to Pizza Press. I’d heard a lot about it and witnessed the lines out the door when they first opened. Once my friends and I got in the door, there was a reasonable sized line but it went pretty quickly. Though the basic premise is still the same(choose from pre-ingredient selected pizzas or build your own by choosing your ingredients Chipotle-style), Pizza Press still puts their own spin on it starting with the cool newsboys hats all of the employees have to wear. The biggest difference though is their massive selection of craft beer on tap and in the bottles. It brings whole new meaning to the concept of pizza and beer. I went in expecting it to be expensive but it actually was quite affordable. I didn’t venture into the build your own realm and instead went with The Press Cheese. With a bottle of water it came out to around $ 8. Not bad for a good sized pizza, a side of Sriracha and a couple of pieces to take home as leftovers. If you like cheese pizza, this is one of the yummiest too. The only downside is the seating. If it’s busy and cold outside(like it was on this particular evening), it could be a fight for a place to sit, even at the bar with high stools/chairs they have. We were lucky and a table opened up for the 4 of us. It’s a new place still so the crowds will probably stick around for a while longer. The staff in the actual line wasn’t as friendly as they are over at Blaze but the guy at the Cashier was really nice and even brought us boxes when he saw we needed them so we didn’t have to get up and ask for them. Next visit I’ll try a brew and a build your own.

Double P’s has become my favorite byop joint. It has surpassed pieology on my list. The veggie options are 20% more than the average spots like pizza rev. They also carry gluten free, and vegan cheese which are things i must put on. For cheese lovers, pizza press(«PP») definitely contains more cheeses. From feta, to some weird stuff i can’t say or spell. PP also has oregano, and thyme, and basil at the end. Chopped garlic or straight garlic are good options too. The peeps aren’t shy about stacking the veggies… Great custie service. Can get a little slow with the service as the pizza exits the oven. They don’t use a real oven but one of those toasters with a conveyer belt like what Noah’s Bagels uses. Thank you buttmunchee for introducing me to this place in old town naranja.

The freshness of veggies is what got me. Thin crust is a plus and the make it to go box. Otherwise the line wait is not a plus so prepare to wait standing.

I have to admit I didn’t have very high expectations for this pizza spot at all. Maybe because to me the name sounded a little generic… though when I got there and realized there was a newspaper theme, it made more sense. In any case, ignore any preconceived notions about the name or theme or anything else and EATTHISPIZZA. I love a good combo pie, so I went with the Tribune, which had pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, peppers, with both mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. I have to say, it was a refreshing change to go back to a super tasty old school pizza dough after only eating puffy Neapolitan style for so long. It’s somehow nice and chewy and crispy at the same time. The idea is to get a personal pizza and it’s a very generous portion for one person at only $ 8! I think it’s one of the few late night spots to grab a bite so there was a long line out the door at about 10pm on a weekend. Because of the lines you had to somewhat hover for tables which is never fun. Other than that I was thoroughly impressed with my experience there and if I lived anywhere near Orange I’m afraid I’d be in there daily!

Fresh customized pizza and unlimited toppings! Love everything about this place: appetizing food, appealing retro theme, and exceptional customer service. Plus, they’ve got beer on tap for you drinkers! Totally beats Pieology and Blaze. Pizza: I absolutely love the pizza from here. Create your own for about $ 8. The dough is fresh and its thin crust! There are a variety of fresh toppings and 3 sauces to choose from. WHITESAUCE is my favorite, topped with mozzarella, chicken, pepperoni, and more. This pizza never disappoints me! Service: They definitely know what’s up. I’ve always received exceptional customer service from here. They’re so welcoming and jolly Given these points, who wouldn’t visit The Pizza Press?!

Fresh Customized Pizza! What’s there not to love? The concept is cool. The layout and color scheme is nice. I love that retro feel. They also serve BEER! They’re also open late! I liked how you get to put anything you want on your pizza or chose from their menu of their specials. The only thing I didn’t like was that the topping bar didn’t have any labels at all. I mean the obvious ones and then there are some that aren’t so obvious. I went in the evening so it wasn’t too packed and loud but when it’s during rush hour I’m sure it’s hard to hear the workers when you have a question about a topping. This is my own opinion also, was that I wish they put more sauce for the base. I felt like it was too little for the amount of toppings I put on. Other than that, this place is worth a shot.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and would definitely return! The theme of the restaurant is adorable, with areas for«publishing» your pizza and other newspaper terminology to describe the pizza making process. You can customize your own pizza or order a standard, which are all creative topping combinations named off of famous newspapers. The food workers wear adorable newsboy caps instead of hair nets which is both practical and again ties into the theme of this pizza place. We came on a double date and were surprised by the line and how crowded it already was despite arriving before the time that it’s normally trendy to eat. Every table was taken and we were just about to resign ourselves to sit outside when one table for four opened and we were able to sit inside. Every 15 minutes it seemed like a new wave of people came to order pizzas and the restaurant would be slammed. Crazy good business! We got a pizza that had goat cheese, roasted garlic, green onions, and artichoke hearts among other goodness. We ordered it with the gluten free crust and were happy with the taste and texture! One of my friends got jalapenos on her pizza and commented that less jalapeño would have been better as they seemed to be vinegar brined and were strong enough to warrant fewer on the pizza… she ended up having to pick some off just to be able to taste the other flavors without the jalapenos overpowering them. One of my friends got garlic on his pizza and said there was too much garlic but other than that he liked it. The one complaint I have is that I’m allergic to red onions, so we specifically said NO red onion… Guy tossed on a bunch and then when I reminded him NO red onion, he took some off and left some on the pizza. My boyfriend tried to pick them out for me but I still got a stomachache because we missed some that were underneath cheese. I would remove a star for this but it’s more of an issue with that employee, not the restaurant. Dear Pizza Press, if you read this, please talk to your employees about removing ALL of a topping that someone asks not to have and not just part of it. I know speed is important, but so is accuracy. Thank you

Pizza Press is definitely a welcome addition to the Orange Circle! PIZZA. My girlfriend and I absolutely love the pizza here. For approximately $ 8, you can create your own pizza with unlimited sauces, toppings, etc. The ingredients are always fresh. I also like the thin crust — it allows you to really enjoy what’s on the pizza instead of eating loads of bread. The pizzas are big enough to share too. BEER. Pizza Press has an extensive craft beer selection. I’m not a beer snob, but sometimes it’s nice to venture beyond Heineken, Corona, etc. Prices are reasonable, as most beers are under $ 7. SERVICE. The staff here is awesome. Each time I’ve been here, they’re always having fun, chatting with customers, singing, etc. This isn’t to say that they mess around — your pizza will be made promptly and just the way you like it. It’s refreshing to see them truly enjoy their jobs instead of merely going through the motions. LATEHOURS. Pizza Press is open late — I think till about 1AM? If you’re in the mood for a late-night snack or just want to grab a drink, Pizza Press has you covered. It’s a nice alternative from some of the other more divey Orange Circle establishments. Yeah, I know Blaze Pizza opened nearby, but I ride or die with Pizza Press!
