Total Image Protection

This company is a SCAM. I got a Total Image Protection wear and tear warranty for my BMW that covered up to $ 1k in damages and when it came time to get my car fixed they ripped me off. They referred me to their body shop, Dynamic Collision Center in Garden Grove to get my car touched up, and when I dropped it off, they didn’t even pull it in to the garage to repair it. There was a guy touching it up with a small canister of paint in the parking lot, which I thought was a bit odd, but didn’t think was a big deal at the time. I had a scratch on my lower bumper that I called out to the body shop, and they told me they couldn’t fix it under my warranty, even though my warranty covered up to $ 1k. When I turned my lease in to BMW, they told me the warranty company, who is a 3^rd party company, should’ve covered the scratch under the bumper since it was a part of the warranty coverage I paid for, but since they didn’t fix it, I got stuck with a $ 300 bill on top of the $ 1k that I paid for the warranty. When I called Total Protection again to explain to them that their body shop said it wasn’t covered, even though it was and they didn’t fix it, they weren’t helpful AT ALL. In fact, when I was speaking to the receptionist she told me because my lease was up there was nothing they could do, even though they lied and told me the scratch wasn’t covered under my warranty when in fact it was. Since I was getting no where with her, I asked to speak to her manager, she never put him on the phone, but I could hear her conversation with him in the back ground and he just repeated the same thing she did and neither could explain why they or the body shop wouldn’t honor paying a $ 300 fee to fix the bumper that was supposed to be covered under the warranty. The fact that the manager couldn’t get on the phone to discuss this mishap with his customer is HIGHLY unprofessional! And to make matters worse, the receptionist then hung up on me mid conversation!!! I would never buy a warranty for wear and tear again and DEFINITELY WOULDN’T use Total Image or Dynamic Collision Center because they’re a shady body shop/​warranty company.

This was a review of a body repair and detailing service.
When I bought my car at Irvine BMW, the finance manager convinced me to protect my purchase with a 3 year Total Image Protection option.
At first I was hesitant but when the finance manager said I have 60 days to try them out or a full refund.
Well this option came in handy when less than a month old, driving down the freeway a large object fell off a truck and bounced onto my front end. Damage was the front bumper, grill and tow hook cover.
I took it around to body shops and they wanted $ 1500 for the repair and repaint.
So I remembered I had the Total Image Protection and gave them a call. I didn’t expect much and made an appointment. They sent me back to the dealer where they have a substation office where some of their techs are located.
The Total Image Protection manager: Gonzalo Gonzalez greeted me and showed me what needed to be done to the front bumper. Then he noticed the alloy wheels showed some light curb scratches and offered to include resurfacing and refinishing which would have cost over $ 800 for wheel repairs. I then asked him if the coverage will take care of a small paint scraped caused by a parallel parker who didn’t know how to park. He said no problem.
Here is the kicker — I thought all they would do is put some touch up paint and call it a day. Total Image called the car rental on site and told them to get me their discounted shop rate. SO I thought since it’s a simple job, I reserved a rental car which for one day.
My mistake — I had no idea that Total Image took their work to high level I did not expect! What I thought was supposed to be a simple touch up job turned out to be a major auto repair & paint service!
Instead of 1 day, they took 3 days to do the job and take a look at the pictures of how they made my dinged up car look like new!
This is what they did:
— Front bumper tear repair, sanded down the area, repainted the ENTIRE bumper using factory BMW paint and clearcoat.
— Rear bumper resurfaced damaged area and repainted the ENTIRE bumper using BMW paint.
— Alloy wheels resurface, refinish, strip, repaint and clearcoat.
What I saw was unbelievable! Total Image redid the car and made it look just like new — amazing!
Now the best part, I didn’t have to pay $ 1500 out of pocket for just the bumper repair and $ 800 for wheel repairs plus am still covered for 3 more years!
Total Image is NOT a touch up paint service, but a full service body repair and detail service.
You don’t need to have the insurance protection to take advantage of their services — just give them a call and they will quote you a much better price than body shops that high overhead expenses.
Gonzalo will do your alloy wheels completely for $ 110 each — much cheaper than those mobile wheel repair services!
They also do paintless dent removal, interior repairs, leather repairs, and even smoker damages.
