We found this place a few days ago, awesome food, fast service, awesome place for kids! You have to try the brownies for desserts!!!

My family liked the burgers, the fries, and the chicken sandwich; however, the steak and cheese steak sub was an absolute mess. Grease soaked through the entire bun and the sandwich was completely falling apart. The steak was also clearly over cooked and of low grade. With some work this could really be a great place.

I found this place through Unilocal and it did not disappoint. Being only 10 min from Montpelier, this is a solid lunch/dinner instead of the packaged stuff there. I went with a cheeseburger and fries. Friendly service that welcomes you in the door, pretty quick for being cooked to order and a neat space really. The fries were really the most memorable: thin style with a nice fry on them and just enough crunch. The burger was great too, juicy and filling. Go local when you visit and skip fast food row on 15!

We were in the area and looking for lunch after a Montpelier tour. We live by Unilocal and saw this restaurant had great ratings. I ordered a veggie burger and it was delicious! My husband ordered a beef burger and enjoyed his burger as well. We split a basket of fries and they were fantastic. Their fries are slightly larger than shoe string fries and that’s the way I like it. The service was fast and the guys working there were really friendly. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.

Stopped in before a local high school basketball game and had an awesome burger and fries! Great service as well! My sister recommends the vegetable soup!

Awesome place. The Mrs. and I walked in last Saturday night and liked the atmosphere/set-up right away. The guys were very nice and explained everything when we asked about a particular dish. I had the cheese steak and they were generous on the meat. No skimping there. My wife had the chicken and rice soup and the Swiss/American cheese sandwich. LOTS of cheese. When we were walking to the car she told me that their soup was a good as hers, and she makes some kickin’ soup. So there you go, guys. Keep up the excellent work. 5 nyuks ;o)

Best food in Orange, been working in Orange for 1.5 weeks and think it’s my fifth or sixth lunch here. Great quality burgers, fries, salads, subs, prices, and service is very friendly. Can tell the employees take pride in their food. Highly recommended.

This place is great if you like burgers and fries… the steak and cheese was a HUGE disappointment. It tasted like a bottle of Worcestershire. Very clean & very friendly staff

Nice local hamburger joint. Kids loved the burgers which you can dress in a variety of ways. Fries were delicious and a large portion big enough for small kids and a thieving mom. Burgers were lightly seasoned but extremely tender and juicy. Reminded me of Hardee’s in the old days. The steak chili had some heat! I like my food spicy and this doesn’t need more jalapeños or Tabasco, etc. one star off for all the paper and plastic:(and no recycling. But the store front is cute and it is a light and bright place. Quick service as well.

If in Orange try this Burger place. Fresh fries and or chips. I love the thin chips, different over the normal fries. You can customize your own burger how you like it far as the toppings. Also have a great homemade steak chili. When I’m back in the area will return.

Best burgers I’ve had anywhere in the world. And I travel a LOT. The owner looks like Curly(if you don’t get it and the name of the establishment, get out). It’s worth a trip to Orange for no other reason than to eat here. Do it. You’ll thank me.

Tired of the usual? Try this place. Fries are what I expect: from fresh cut potatoes. Not sure if they were twice cooked, but they are very good. Also suggest trying the flat fries. Similar to a Saratoga Chip. Beef vegetable soup was as good as homemade, loaded with vegetables and meat. It was more like a stew, very filling for lunch. I’m planning to stop here again when I’m in the area. My one knock is the mac & cheese. It looked like something from a box and was watery. Hard to believe they serve a version as this. Don’t let this comment from trying the place. Burgers looked great and I’ll try on my next visit.

Delicious burgers and fries! Not a fast food joint so be prepared to wait 5 – 10 minutes for your order. Huge portions! Decent prices. Highly recommend.

Believe it or not, I haven’t tried the burgers here. So why the heck am I reviewing a burger joint without ever tasting their burgers!!! Their SALADS! Holy moly — the salad. They don’t have a large selection of salads, but the ones they have are incredible! Plenty of grilled chicken, tomato, onion, cukes, peroncinis, pickles(don’t knock it till you try it!) and cheese. The plastic container is FILLEDTOTHEBRIM!!! Almost more salad than you can eat in a sitting. All this for $ 6? You can’t beat it! And just for the record — everyone I’ve eaten here with says that the burgers and fries are out of this world! I may have to get one the next time I stop by.

Just had lunch. It was great. My chicken salad sandwich was yummy, and everyone else had different burgers, they all raved about how delicious they were. Also the sweet potato fries and flat fries= homemade chips were very good. I will go there again when I am in the area !!! This lunch was on Tuesday April 28, 2015.

Great place in the heart of lovely Orange, VA. Had Wise Guy Burger– took 2 hands & elbows to eat it! And chef threw in bacon– thanks Chef! Wife had Caesar salad. Chef’s homemade dressing was fantastic! If you are anywhere in the vincity make a stop here!

This is good stuff ! The burgers are fresh and the combination of toppings is endless. We have stopped here twice when passing thru Orange. The size of burgers is great — I am always content with the regular — especial when you share fries! We will be back!

We were driving through Orange looking for food. The chain options are just down the road, but we decided on a local option and were glad we did. The food was great. The burgers were tasty. Only qualm there was that the buns could of had more pizzazz. The fries were great and hand cut. We topped it off with bubbly sodas. Price wise, of course you are going to pay more for this than say McDonalds. But it was worth it. They had plenty of seating and parking was easy to along the street. Nice local place that we would eat at again.

It isn’t easy to find a true burger these days. Especially when you’re off the beaten path. You’ll find a string of Hardee’s and Wendy’s till the day is long but to get a real, handmade burger is rare. And you wouldn’t expect a great burger in a little place like Orange. It would be easy for a person to just take a short cut and have frozen patty burgers but this place doesn’t. And the prices are better than fair. A double meat burger was $ 7. The owner is wonderful. He gives a $*%#. I like that. He takes pride in his burgers. He talks to his customers. My only wish, and maybe it shouldn’t be, but coming out of Philly, I miss my sandwiches. I’m gonna rub the magic lamp and hope that some fat roast beef, turkey or ham hoagies are added to the menu at Wise Guys. ;) We are tired of Sheets and Subway. and we KNOW you got this.
