Sometimes I think the only people who go on Unilocal are those who complain. My experience so far had been fine. No waits longer than 15 minutes. A helpful staff. And a doctor who finally diagnosed my problem after 2 years and three prior doctors. Check out other websites for reviews. They generally give good reviews of this practice.

So. It has been about 6 years since I’ve gone to Orangetown Orthopedic Associates and saw Dr. Semble. 6 years ago Dr. Semble took an x-ray/MRI of my back, while I complained of losing sleep because of lower back pain. I remember my visit vividly, because Dr. Semble’s behavior was utterly disgusting. After«reading» my results, Dr. Semble said«nothing was wrong» and that I should«just stretch.» Not once did this man make eye contact with me, not once did he show an ounce of care, or concern, nor did he suggest any viable form of treatment. Seriously… you call yourself a doctor? 6 years and 2ER visits later, I have been diagnosed with 3 slipped and/or herniated discs. My current doctor said to me «You saw a specialist how long ago?» and I mentioned my visit to this office. His response was«A good doctor would’ve fixed this for you years ago.» So I recommend staying away from this office at all costs. Especially Dr. Semble. Pathetic on all counts.

The worst Dr.‘s office experience in a long life and many Office visits. Insulting, RUDE, Biased, BAD DRs. The wait isn’t the problem.

I’ll start my review by saying the office staff is the best part of the office. My Doctor Marc Berezin was the BIGGEST disappointing doctor I’ve ever been to. He has the worse bedside manner, he never explains what your problem is. When I would ask 1 question or 5 he had an attitude of impatience. Always running to the next patient. This is a cattle call not a doctors office. He took off my cast with out explaining ANYTHING. Just get on the table … Never breaking a bone before, a little explaining would be helpful… He would dbl talk, he told me he was going to chg my cast on the next visit, on the next visit I asked him if he was going to chg. My cast, and said why, I never said that. When he put me in a walking boot, I had to Make him come back in the room to explain my next steps. He said just start walking, rock your foot. Okay Doctor. Did you think I should know this automaticly… He was so Non caring… I called him 2 days later, because I was in a lot of pain, I wrote down 3 Questions about the pain, and my progress. When he called, he said I don’t care about the question, where’s the pain. I told him, and his brilliant caring response was Don’t try to walk on it… Okay what should I do… he said he had to go. This is why you should READ reviews… Which I didn’t, I went on referral from a friend. This was a very upsetting experience. I’ve switched to a New Doctor which is night And day… THISOFFICEANDTHEREDOCTORSAREONMYDON’T YOU DAREGOTHERELIST…

Horrible office staff. It seems like they go out of their way to make things more difficult for their patients. My wait was an hour and I have heard from other community members that they have experienced the same thing, if not worse, and that the office does in fact double-book. Then you are rushed during your time with the doctor, so it is not even worth the wait. Rude receptionists and administrative staff.

I will start with the wait. You wait over an hour to see a doctor for 5 minutes. Upon hearing my symptons my doctor said he knew exactly what was wrong with me, a torn meniscus, however my MRI was negative. At my next appointment, upon learning of the negative result, the doctor gave me a cortisone shot and told me that was all he could do for me, despite the on going pain and swolleness of my knee. He said the pain may be «in my head». Needless to say the shot proved more painful then helpful and six months later I ended up having knee surgery under the care of a different practice to correct two issues that did in fact exist.
