Keith, the driver, was a knuckle head. We called his cell number and got voice messaging. Called the other number same thing. Left a message and called several times. Got no response. Called the Orcas Island taxi service and they responded right away. As we were ready to pull out of the marina here come Keithand blocks our taxi. He jumps out and runs over and demands a $ 10.00 no show fee. He is a …

There are two taxi services on Orcas Island. The Unilocal information for the other one, Orcas Island Taxi, indicates that it’s the only one on the island, but that’s not correct. I called both about taking my family of four from Eastsound to Deer Harbor, and New Orcas Taxi Tours was a little less expensive. The driver and owner, Keith Maxwell, was easy to reach by cell phone, and he was right on time for both legs of the trip. He was also very pleasant. Incidentally, the «new» in their name is misleading. He has been around for years.
