Regarding the comment about the hostess… this might come as a shock to the commenter but that BITCH of a hostess is THEOWNER’S WIFE!!! Everyone complains about her.

My wife and I have been to Randall’s a number of times. We’ve always had great service and the appetizers, entrees and sides are very good. I just have one complaint. The HOSTESS, if you can even call her that. She doesn’t say hello, she doesn’t say anything. She will walk you to your table, drop the menus, and she just turns around, walks away without saying a single word. It’s amazing! This happens every time we dine there. My suggestion to the manager or owner, either train her to act like a hostess or get rid of her. She is the first impression of your restaurant, and it’s not good. Even despite her, we still enjoy dinning at Randall’s and would recommend it. We just know what to expect when we walk in and we don’t let her ignorant attitude ruin a nice evening.

Went to this out-of-the-way spots on a recent business trip. The restaraunt almost has that country club feeling — I was waiting for someone to shout out«Norm!». I started with their wedge that had some chunky blue cheese dress along with some summer ripe chopped tomatoes and chopped bacon — it was a great opener for the evening. I opted for the veal medallions prepared schnitzel style… with a nice lemon butter sauce. The veal was breaded and quite tender. All in all, a great place to have a quiet dinner and it will be on my list for a future visit.

What can I say? Awesome! I love everything about it. I have to laugh. one guy gave it a poor review because in his mind he said the table was not set correctly. PLEASE??? Great service, great atmosphere, great menu, great food!

High 3.5 stars so I rounded up. Once again, sat at the bar for dinner. We had a wonderful conversation with Patty, a lovely regular at Randall’s. The bar scene was lively with many regulars enjoying drinks and dinner. One wall had four nice sized tv’s. The bar area was a good size, not completely closed off which is nice. Seats were fairly comfortable. The bartenders were nice Jeff and I believe the woman was Jane. They made lovely drinks and were attentive. The place was PACKED. Patty said Friday’s aren’t typically like that. A Nor’easter was headed our way so I think everyone was out before we got hit. A little issue I had, not their fault because they were very busy but we weren’t able to have a conversation with them. Drinks– I had a Guinness and a Grey Goose rocks with blue cheese olives. My husband had Grey Goose rocks with blue cheese olives. I saw they had copper mugs so I assume they make some nice Moscow Mules. Food– we shared a shrimp cocktail. The horseradish cocktail sauce was great. Nice strong horseradish flavor, it brought a tear to my eyes. The bread was warm the butter whipped. Yum! I had the filet special. It was covered in onion strings. I ordered medium rare, it came medium. That was fine. Way too much onion for me. Nice though. I had fries and butternut squash. Both good. Husband had the veal schnitzel with green beans. He said it was good. So overall, I had a great night at Randall’s. I enjoyed our conversation with Patty. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The food, had room to be better given the price point… this is what knocked them down from a solid four stars. It wasn’t enough to give them a three star rating. We will be back!

I love Randall’s. The service is excellent, the drinks delicious and the food is outstanding. Have never had a bad experience and would recommend it under any circumstances.

Good local spot, fair happy hour prices, shrimp francaise is the bomb. Older crowd, but I’m ok with a bit of a low key scene. Good date place in my opinion.

I’m very surprised the reviews are not better. I’ve only ever had great meals here. I like their crab cakes, but have also enjoyed their filet. My husband likes the chicken parm. The portions are very large. You could easily share the side salad.

Went to diner with my husband after Christmas(was so sick of cooking after the holiday). Service was great. Our fried fresh mozzarella was by far the best part of the meal. I had lamb chops with roasted rosemary potatoes and green beans. The chops were thick but very difficult to eat due to the way they were butchered. Green beans were very fresh, probably my favorite part of the meal. My husband had a filet mignon with au gratin potatoes, he said it was very good. Overall good food but the price is WAY to high. Our bill for 2 without alcohol and tip was $ 98, it was more of a $ 60 – 70 meal to me, which is why it gets 3 stars.

This is one of the best restaurants in West Allentown. I live in Upper Macungie Twnshp and this is our go-to spot for all of our family dinners and celebrations! The good is great– and reliable! We also have had our company Xmas dinner here– food and service was great!

This restaurant is nearby so we stop by frequently. Their sauteed lump crab with mushrooms is always excellent… especially with the browned butter. My husband likes the orchard special which is a fillet and the crab w/mushrooms. Their salads and deserts are good as well. Service has always been top notch for us. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is their bread is very disappointing and not up to the quality of the restaurant.

Agree with Bob, poor service, average food, and a restaurant trying to be something it is not. Awful wine glasses, a table that was set incorrectly, an expectation you will reuse silverware. Overall, just an unpleasant experience. I would give it zero stars if I could. Will not be going back.

Randall’s is close to home, so we’re frequent visitors along with many other locals. The atmosphere/décor is attractive and comfortable. The menu offers some really nice specialities — particularly the«francais» dishes. Great place for dinner or to have a relaxing drink with friends at the bar overlooking the orchard(try one of the delicious appetizers!)

We went only to the Bar. It showed up on a search as the nearest bar to your hotel; we were on our way back home from New York City and wanted a small bite and a drink. We sat at the bar, I had a cocktail, my wife a highball, and both were excellent. We also shared a stuffed mushroom(crab) appetizer, and it was delicious! It is a beautiful place. The bartender was hustling and clearly knew her job very well.

Great service. Good food, priced fair for what you get. All beverages are priced below average. The place has a upscale feel and is not for your average Applebee’s lover. The view of the apple orchard is beautiful. Randall’s is a nice place for a date.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal and excellent service. Jessica made sure everything was to our satisfaction. It’s nice to have a first class restaurant so close to our home. Prices are what you would expect to pay for food this good. We will certainly go back.

From the appetizers to dessert, the food was delicious. We had the scallops and the seafood combo and I would recommend both! Save room for dessert or get them to go, definitely worth the extra calories. Will definitely being dining here again.

went on a whim after seeing the opening announcement in the Call. Met Randy when he worked at Wegman’s. Setting is great, a couple of restaurants opened and folded in the location. Date had the sole, large portion done to perfection. Calf’s liver(sorry, i like it and it takes a good chef to make it right) was superb one of the best i’ve tasted. He covered it with bacon done just right. Crowded on a Thursday — people are starting to discover it. Bar scene was crowded — it’s the 45 plus crowd(yeah), no Wall Street protestors. Randy has some high end product on the menu that looked good. It’s more expensive than average, but the meals are still a good value. Desserts looked good, but i couldn’t eat another bite.
