The first time Brittany did my hair, I was very happy with the job, and I left a 5-star review. So I didn’t hesitate when it came time to redo them. Big mistake. She did them wrong, and refused to help. First off, she used acetone to remove them, and immediately reinstalled the same ones, WITHOUT washing out any acetone. I, as the non-stylist, didn’t know this shouldn’t be done. Leaving acetone on hair and then putting new extensions on over that is apparently VERY bad for hair since it traps acid under the glue and can burn hair. She also used a TON of adhesive this second time. I watched her use two or three beads on each section. I thought it seemed a lot, but I was the layperson, so didn’t question. In the following days, most of them came out, and what didn’t come out matted horribly. When I got home from vacation, it took another styling THREE hours to get out the rest of the adhesive, and even then, some chunks of my hair had to be cut out since my head was getting too sensitive from how much acetone it was taking to try breaking down the massive clumps of glue. I tried contacting Brittany about having them redone(I didn’t even ask for them to be done for free – in fact, I bought a couple new packs of hair for the job), and she was very slow to respond. After a week went by and she didn’t reply, I finally told her I wanted my money back from the second job that was botched and to take my photos off her Facebook page, and she got aggressive, and by aggressive, I mean she got threatening and said she’d post all our messages for everyone to see, as if I was doing wrong. So I beat her to the punch, and shared them all myself. She also falsely reported to Facebook that I was harassing her because of the review I left her there, which is literally this exact same review except for this one sentence. It cost me hundreds of dollars to undo the damage she caused by improper installation the second time, and all I asked was a refund of the second time. Since she has refused to be helpful in any way, I will be taking legal action for my total expenses in having the botched job fixed, as well as reporting her to the state cosmetology licensing board. I’m pretty sure they’ll be interested to hear what she did and how she tried threatening me into keeping quiet about my experiences with her. I’m willing to share with anyone who asks the screen caps backing all of this up. Again, first time, fantastic. Second time, absolute nightmare.
