Looking for a paleo option on top of the hill in Oregon City and ventured into Hawaiin Time, pretty skeptical because this type of food features a great deal of rice. However, Danika at the register suggested that I order 4 ounces of meat with a side of grilled veggies. Genius! It was quick and tasted great! Great selection of fresh meat options from pork to beef to chicken. Danika was a life saver!

One of our new favorite lunch stops when we’re visiting Oregon! We’ve been stopping here to eat a lot lately, the food is good, I love the portions for the price. The service is always really good, fast, and very friendly’ the dining area is clean, and they’re very kid friendly. I love love love the mac salad!

I think the staff needs to be trained on customer service. I was waiting for my order to go and I accidently spilled my ice and soda on the table while waiting which I tried to clean up with some napkins. The cashier/wait staff walked right by and saw me cleaning up and I said«Oops I spilled my drink sorry!» and she goes«Uh Oh! Do you need a rag or something?» First of all, YOU work there, you are the staff. You don’t ask a customer if they«want a rag» to clean up the spill! What you do is say, «Oh no, it’s ok, let ME get that FORYOU!» and then do it! Unbelievable! Who manages this place??? The Volcano chicken was awful. I couldn’t tell if it was chicken or not, all mushed up with siracha sauce and something like hoisin sauce or something. I liked the mac salad fairly well but have had much better. Would not recommend this place.

Had the Honolulu plate. Meat was almost as bland as the rice. Had to douse it in chili sauce just to taste it. If I wanted Sriracha sauce for lunch I could have done that at home. Even worse: food is needlessly served in disposable packages, whether you dine in or take out. Not compostable, not recyclable, just pointless waste. Like it would be so hard to get those reusable plastic trays.

I love the flavor of the food, the only thing is the portions are very small. I am not a big eater and I can eat the entire portion and still want more. The place is very clean and the staff is fairly friendly. We would go here more often if the portions were enough for my husband and for me.

Well it looks as though they’ve gotten some people in here that know what they’re doing. Hawaiian Time has ways had a great premise, it’s always just been the employees and lack of consistency. In the past I’ve gotten pork saturated in grease or gargantuan pieces of chicken that I could barely chew or unsweetened salad dressing. Been pleased the last few visits. Except they now charge $ 1.50 for a couple rings of grilled onions? Yikes. Other than that, keep up the good work.

Cute place but the staff are not very friendly. Also the food quality is poor. I had higher expectations.

I’ve had excellent food every-time I’ve come here! My husband loves the beef dishes(and being m Angus breeder he can be picky). I always get the teriyaki chicken. Food is good and priced fair and you always get a lot! I’m picky where I eat and usually prefer higher end restaurants but this place is always a go to for a quick, good tasting lunch! Not sure why there are some bad reviews since I’ve been coming here a few years and never had a bad experience.

Alright, We do stop for food here and take it next door to The Growler Run! It is pretty good. Still over priced for what you get…

I am not sure I get the dislike for this place, so I’m upping it to 4 stars, where 3.5 would be more appropriate. We were here for a family trip to Beavercreek, and stopped here for lunch on our way to the Oregon coast. Maybe we were just in a good mood, but we love Hawaii, and enjoyed our meals. The Huli Huli chicken was great, as was the Kalua pork. The macaroni salad was good, and the portions were completely reasonable. I think we each left a little white rice, and nobody left hungry. I thought the décor of the place was actually pretty respectful of Hawaii, and not kitchy. The menu itself reminded me of a lot of things which you can get on Maui, and not stuff like«DUKE’S BIGKAHUNABACONCHEESEBURGER,» It has actual dishes you can get in Hawaii.

Not sure why the word«Hawaiian» is in the title. Sad representation. Blah.

Service was great. Food was hot and had a great flavor. The serving was worth the money. Good price!

My first visit was last week. I stopped in between real estate appointments. Friendly, fast service. I had the Dakine Low Carb Option, which is over lettuce instead of rice. Chicken tasted fresh. I would visit again. The different kinds of beach sand along the counter were fun to look at!

Huge portions and great food! Would be helpful if they had a bigger sign so you knew they were there though.

This place is amazing!!! I’ve been here a few times now and have loved it even more each time! I’m not a huge macaroni salad fan so I opt not to get that, but my boyfriend says it’s great!!! Their chicken has tons of flavor, and isn’t too dry or too soupy. When you order to go they can sometimes seem stingy with the extra sauce on the side, but if you ask for more, you’ll get more! The staff is always friendly, and they even have a $ 5 deal for students since is across from CCC… If you haven’t tried this place, I totally recommend you do!!!

I can’t count how many times we have been here. From our very first bite on our first visit we were hooked. So hooked that we hired Kristina and her crew to cater our wedding! It was a smashing success! Almost 2 years later and our guests still ask us where our wedding dinner came from. We have referred so many people to any and all locations and have never heard a bad review! On top of that, every time we walk through the door(still to this day!) we are greeted with a warm hello and referred to as ‘the wedding people’. :) We cannot say enough or speak highly enough of this crew. They are all wonderful! Keep up the good work, Hawaiian Time!

We’ve been here several times and it’s because the food is great, the place is bright and comfortable and roomy. I like the spicy chicken and the rest of the fam likes the teriyaki chicken or beef. I don’t like mac salad — or any pasta salad for that matter, but those who do say theirs is very good. I’ll take their word for it and make sure they have plenty by not taking any for myself. I do really appreciate the alternative choices you have with their food — my preference is to skip the mac salad, have the main course on a bed of lettuce instead of rice and have one scoop of rice to go with it… For me, it’s a really tasty balanced choice. If I would pay extra, they would add a side of vegetables. I’ve had it before and the veggies are quite good but basically I’m cheap and I’m happy without them. One thing of note — they have Pepsi products which is something I enjoy a lot. I don’t like Coke and just have water, so even though I’m too cheap to add the veggies, I add the soda because it’s my favorite and not the easiest one to find when you go out. I’ve probably been here over half a dozen times and I’ll keep going back. Not that it’s my favorite but my family would really appreciate it if they would add«loco moco» to their menu. That’s a real Hawaiian working man’s meal and it’s a shame that they don’t offer it.(bed of rice, hamburger patty, gravy, fried egg)… Maybe I should start a petition because the other Hawaiian place I know of in town has closed and my family is having withdrawals.

So this place gets NOSTARS. The food was horrible, I had gotten the Honolulu Plate LOWCARB style which on the menu stated that it comes on a bed of Romaine lettuce instead of mac salad and rice. My food came with the meat and bagged frozen vegetable mix and carrots that were not even cooked! These people make Hawaiian Food look so bad. Seriously… I was born and raised in Hawaii and this food literally sucks! Such a shame! Oh and the girl taking the orders was just so not friendly!

The food was okay and the rep was nice but I’m quite skeptical to go back to this place. I believe the company is reusing the Sriracha bottles! They put their own Teriyaki sauce(it wasn’t all that good) in the Sriracha bottles(and put Teriyaki stickers on the bottles). I believe the bottles were previously used in the restaurants(I could be wrong)… because the white ink was peeling out and some got on my hands(I even showed the rep). I know for sure that the finished bottles are not intended to be reused… I went to the factory in Thailand and they said that, the chillies are so strong(not sure how to exactly say it), after a while, it could eat up the layer of the plastic bottles. BTW, Sriracha sauce is originally from Si Racha beach, South of Bangkok.
