Worst Mexican food I’ve had in my life. If you could give it 0 stars I would! Food was disgusting!!! Waited over 30 mins just for water chips and salsa. There were three other tables besides ours. I wouldn’t let my dog eat here. Horrible!

The food is ok. The service was really slow :-(and the air conditioning was cranked up high :-(I thought I was going to have blue lips by the time I left the place. Ripoff!!! Don’t eat here!

Food was okay. Average Mexican cuisine. I used to live in Clackamas County & would eat here occasionally. I think honestly the food and the service has gone downhill since I lived here about 10 years ago :-(Service was very, very slow. Drinks are okay — Margarita was kind if weak. The best thing I had tonight was the guacamole and they made at the table :-) I had a Burrito Cancun which has crab and shrimp in it. It was okay. The price of the burrito is $ 12.95 ala carte. We ordered the full meal which included rice and beans and that raised the price $ 18.95 It was a small portion of rice and beans and I can’t imagine rice and beans cost $ 6??! Years ago when I came here the price of that burrito was $ 10.95, and it used to include rice and beans. I guess things have really changed!

First the good stuff: the staff were very friendly, lots of refills on drinks, chips were good along with salsa. Kids really liked the rice that came with their platters. I got the chicken mole which I must say had a good tasting sauce. My wife enjoyed the chile verde. Now the unpleasant. Took over 30 minutes from ordering to receiving our meal. Of course our son had to be somewhere and we told him to stop stressing it would be quick. Oops. The chicken mole had small dried out pieces in the sauce. Not what I was expecting. There was something that looked like coleslaw, but it was wilted and warm. I assume it was because it sat under a warmer for awhile. The rice was good, beans ok. Both my kids got taco plates. They were soggy and fell apart. My son used the tortillas that came with my mole to finish them off. Too many chips and soda. Because it took so long for food, we kept getting more chips and salsa. I asked for the spicier salsa. It had more heat, but tasted nasty. Kinda like dirt. Unfortunately, I don’t think we will ever return.

I heart this place. It’s our«old stand-by» when we don’t want to leave OC. We have a very good meal every time we go. The service is always stellar and of course they have the best bar tenders in town. It used to be «not-so-good» but they got a new chef and a new menu. Their combos are all under $ 11 and you might just have leftovers. I think everyone needs to give this new menu a chance, we did and now we are regulars.

Great food. Lively decorated. The night we went they had a live Mariachi band that played from table to table… Most awesome! though I’m told that they do play every night. The food was good, had plenty to take home. When visiting Oregon city it will be our place when we desire a sit down for Mexican dinner. For Mexican lunch… The Torta on 7th and Washington!

Great service, great draft beer and authentic Mexican food! It no wonder why tachos has been around so long, they set the standard for competitors in the area. Well done tachos!

We just moved to Oregon city and this has quickly become one of our favorites. We come almost weekly and receive good, quick service and food every time.

As Oregon City locals we have dined at Tacho’s in the past, though not very often with so many better Mexican cuisine options in the area. In the past we have found even the basics to be underwhelming. Stale, slightly warmed chips and only decent salsa. Very greasy enchiladas. Dry Mexican rice. Flavorless refried beans. The list goes on and on about how mediocre the food is here at Tacho’s. We typically do not consider it a dining destination at all. However, today I found myself with a intense craving for Fried Ice Cream, my childhood dessert of choice. Tacho’s was the only establishment open at the time who served the sweet treat. This beautiful Mexican restaurant staple(though not really a authentic Mexican dish) is always a delight. Crispy and creamy with honey and cinnamon. There is a art to making this dessert. If you cannot do it right, for the love of all that is holy, don’t do it. Tacho’s should be ticketed for even attempting to serve this dish. This dish is meant to be crispy on the outside with a thick creamy vanilla ice cream center, drenched in honey cornflakes with cinnamon, flash fried with a drizzle of honey on top. What I received(pictured below) is a sad version of what this dessert was designed to be. It was also served in a taco shell bowl. Why? It was a tasteless, greasy cornflake mess. While I simply wanted the dessert, my companions wanted to order some small bites off of the appetizer menu. We ordered the Tostada Cheviche, a Quesadilla, and a Grilled Cheese for the kiddo. I shudder at the Cheviche(pictured below). The shrimp was so tough it could have been chicken. The tostada that it was served on was rock hard on the outside and soggy in the center. The quesadilla was advertised as a cheese quesadilla with peppers, onions and tomato. We received a thick under-cooked cheese quesadilla with no peppers, onions or tomato. The cheese was not fully melted. It was a flour tortilla with half melted thick slabs of cheap Monterrey Jack cheese. The grilled cheese sandwich that I tried a bite of was horrendous. The bread was rancid tasting and the cheese itself was so greasy and congealed on the edges that it is no surprise the child would not eat it. I was reminded this night why I do not frequent Tacho’s.

Throughout human history there have been a select few inventions that have forever changed the way the world spins. The printing press. The combustion engine. The Internet. And now, in a small Mexican restaurant in Oregon City, the nacho fries have been born. The limitless toppings and flavors of nachos cascaded upon a soft bed of French fries. At first I picked away at it with my hands– as you would do with an archaic tortilla chip nacho, but then realized that the fries allowed for complete use of fork. With every bite it all made more and more sense until I was finished. Went home. Forgot all about it. Around 3 months passed. Remembered it and wrote this review. 5⁄5

the food is not authentic or taqueria style, but if you go into Tachos expecting standard Mexican restaurant faire, you will be pleasantly surprised. Everything seemed very high quality, including the meats. We shared the 2 person Fajita dish and it was plenty. I got a large margarita and it was huge and for a great price! Just a fun place to go if you’re craving more generic Mexican food. Clean with great service.

I’m sorry but the food here is gross. I went in not expecting very much maybe just some greasy mexican food but our food was almost lacked seasoning and flavor. I also had to track down the waitress several times to get me a coke. She kept forgetting. Probably will never be back here.

Tacho’s is NOTYO mamas Mexican food. As in not good at all. It’s shitty. I ordered cheese enchilada. I got chicken. Sent it back. Cheese enchilada comes out– the cheese inside should be melted, right? And they charged us for chicken enchilada. Carne asada plate for the special. Why is it special? Cuz it’s coated in salt and comes with a cheese enchilada– now that cheese enchilada was cooked. My 12 year old cousin makes a better margarita. What else? Don’t come here. That’s what else.

Love the food but the service isn’t always great… Usually have to wait ten to fifteen minutes before you can talk to a server. Even to ask for a napkin. The food on the other hand I just adore! Its always filling and there is always enough to take home for a snack later! Pretty certain I’m going to go to a different location

This is the best Oregon City has, apparently. Or so the residents tell me. Well, it was okay. You may be asking yourself what you want for lunch right now. Tacos? Nachos? Nachos? Tacos? Hmmmmm…Tachos?! Yeah, I think not.
