I am employed at a large Madison area auto dealership group, and called All Color Powder Coating to see if they could powder coat a set of car rims to accommodate a customer’s request. I was told over the phone that they could do this work, we agreed on a price, and I dropped off the wheels. Later that day I received a call stating that when they were«burning» the finish off of the wheels ONEOFTHEMHADMELTED! These were relatively inexpensive wheels($ 300), and luckily not $ 1,000 wheels that we have on many of our cars. However, the President of the company told me that they would not pay for a replacement. We went back and forth a bit, but the bottom line was that he was completely unwilling to help, and took no responsibility for wrecking the wheel. He said they are not responsible for any damage that happens to customer’s items while in All Color’s possession. When I told him that I was shocked that they were going to throw away a business relationship over such a small amount of money, his response was, «That is exactly what I am saying. We aren’t paying you anything.» I would NEVER recommend doing business with this company. I can’t even imagine not making every effort to satisfy a customer if I were to somehow damage their property. I hope this helps with anyone considering doing business with them.
