Just finished takeout dinner and although this place may deserve two star, I gave it one since they pissed me off due to forgetting to include the Jalapeños on my nachos that I was charged an extra .50 for. Here is the bad about this place: 1– The place is easy to find as its a Run down shack. I almost decided to not to pickup my food once I seen it. 2– Charged me extra for Jalapeños but they obviously forgot. 3– Chips they included were stale. 4– Salsa was like tomato juice and I am not exaggerating. 5– chicken enchiladas was pretty much tasteless. I feel sorry for the people in this town and positive reviewers as they all obviously don’t know what good Mexican food tastes like. I won’t be back to this so called Mexican restaurant! Ps. Keep the .50 cents as not looking at that gross building a 2nd time is worth the loss!

Had dinner there last night. I LOVE Mexican food — and eat at the Cinco’s in Toledo on a weekly basis. Service was okay, better from the gentlemen who wasn’t our server. From the moment I walked in I didn’t want to touch anything. I’m all about a ‘hole in the wall’ restaurant, but this was more of a dump in a house. Food wasn’t too bad, although there was something in the ground beef that I couldn’t chew thru — I was done after that. No I won’t go back, and I cannot wait to eat at our normal spot!

Decided to try Cinco with my sister for dinner tonight. This place did not disappoint! Huge portion sizes of delicious food! Our waiter was great and very friendly. My sister had what she is describing as possibly the best margarita she’s ever had. We will definitely be returning!

Huge portions of excellent food. My favorite is the tilapia chimichanga, you get two of them and a large portion of rice and veggies. The mango margaritas are tasty and strong. The service is decent, but the staff sometimes seem rather down and not very enthusiastic.

Worst service ever! We came in after the lunch hour around 1:20pm. There were a total of 5 customers including myself and boyfriend. I ordered a red eye margarita at the same time I ordered my lunch. The waiter brought out the food after 15 minutes and I had to ask for my margarita… again. He brought it after 5 more minutes of waiting and it was the WRONG margarita! The waiter NEVER refilled our waters even though we had them sitting empty on the side of the table half way through our lunch. Food was just OK, nothing great. They placed the stem side slice of yellowish tomato on my plate like I was supposed to eat that! He never asked us if we needed or wanted anything else. He came twice to pick up our check and we hadn’t touched it yet! We got the hint, he wanted us to leave. Worst restaurant in Oregon! Don’t waste your time with this place… go to El Camino or San Marco’s!!!

Food gets 5 stars as well as our waitress who was the bartender. Coming from California, was not expecting to find anything close to «real» Mexican food out here. We got the sea food salad for 10 bucks and it was out of this world! Cheapest and best sea food ever! Would recommend this place if you aren’t close to to the Mexican border!

I went here once last year, and admittedly I was fairly intoxicated by the time I ordered food. I thought it was amazing, but wanted to hold off on a review until I had gone in a more sensible mindset to verify the deliciousness. Went yesterday with my very picky husband; It’s official, we’re a fan! We don’t like noise or crowds, so we went on a Sunday evening. I’ve seen them swamped before, but was delighted to only have two other diners in the restaurant. It was quiet and peaceful, and the waitress was very pleasant. The food was fast, and it was DELICIOUS. We like simple foods with lots of flavor. I got chicken enchiladas with rice and beans, my husband got a smothered beef burrito. We both loved our meals; Not a bunch of random veggies in the meat, just meat, food, and sauce. That’s how we like it. Food came out very quickly. We used to frequent El Vaquero, but they’ve really been going down hill for the last few years. If you used to enjoy El Vaq but have been disappointed lately, give Cinco a try. They’ve got the same simple but delicious flavors, executed better.

First off, I find it a slap in the face that the name of this restaurant includes«amigos» — THEYARENOTYOURFRIEND! Loud, supposed«Mexican» music does NOT a Mexican restaurant make. Latino wait staff & kitchen staff, again, does NOT a Mexican restaurant make. Since my involuntary return from Los Angeles, I’ve been desperately searching for a place that can make the simplest of simple Mexican meals: Huevos Rancheros. One step in my unfortunate quest brought me to this shameful place(shame on them for claiming to be a Mexican restaurant). Huevos Rancheros is so damned simple: eggs, beans & rice, soft tortilla, rancheros sauce(and the REALLY awesome places give you homemade tortilla chips to boot! That’s a shout out to you, Dos Burritos in Hollywood! God how I miss you, miss walking in & having cute-as-a-button Jose say«Huevos Rancheros, scramble, mi amiga!!!). If you can’t do that, shame on you. The beans were obviously from a can — bland, paste-like, horrific. The so-called Mexican-rice? Ha!!! Clearly from a freeze-dried packet — the peas were more shriveled than your toes after a long swim in the Pacific, as well as DULLDULLDULL. The rancheros sauce? Again, clearly from a can & was a cheapo enchilada sauce that would cause the most modest of enchilada to commit suicide. Oh, and I had to ask twice for the tortilla, which of course, was clearly store bought & not homemade. My niece had what was being pawned off as cheese quesadilla — two pathetic tortilla with flavorless store-bought«cheddar» cheese in between — nothing on the side, no tomatillo sauce on side, no sour cream, nothing. If you’ve never tasted true Mexican cuisine & have the taste buds more suited to flavorless, spiceless, dull Americanized«Mexican» food, do yourself a huge favor(and your wallet) and go to Taco Bell. Seriously. Why waste money on a meal you could’ve made just as pathetically at home for half the price? Go to Taco Bell & at least feel good about yourself for only spending a few bucks on crappy food that at least, at times, does have actual flavor to it.
