Not great. Food high and nothing special – not cooked correctly sent back 2 times, no one said sorry ! Owner not friendly and walks around not helping the servers who work very hard. I met a cook named Dakota very rude thought he knew everything when he spoke down at me. Is this who they employ, also trying to hit on the girls I was having dinner with??? Server I felt sorry for, trying to do everything with no back up help. I do not recommend this place — bad, I would have rather thew my money in Lake Erie ! Bathrooms dirty and restaurant cluttered !

This is my favorite place. No complicated menu. No snobby servers or uncomfortable atmosphere. What they do have is an owner who’s concern for the guest experience is reflected in this amazing place. Service is great(ask for Ryan if you want exceptional) and the food is fantastic. Prime Rib, Ribeye Steak, dusted Perch just a few of my favorites. Great Long Islands. End with choc cake and this will make you a fan like myself. Gone here since they opened, still hit it twice a month. Love this place.

We wanted to support someplace local so made the 30 minute drive to Oregon. We were seated immediately and order within 10 minutes. 50 minutes later our appetizer arrived. All in all it took over 2 hours to be served appetizers, salads and dinners. As we watched each table that came after us finish and leave our server made apologies but management did nothing. Our Prime rib was okay as were the muscles but the scallops were not seasoned and flavorless. We made the trip because many we know have reccommended it to us, but we were very dissappointed and won’t be back. I could have had a much better meal elsewhere.

Every time we try to eat here we get pushed out. We were waiting for the Bar the owner knew it. Next thing you know another 2 couples shoved there way to the seats we were waiting for for 15 minutes. The owner knew them & when we said something said Oh well. Didn’t realize I had to have a connection to dine

I would give it no stars if I could. Where to start, First off got there and got a drink, went to use the restroom, they where closed down and the waitress told us to go outside if we needed it. We got seated got drinks, and ordered the apps, apps where good but the prime rib quesadeah was not up to par, the meat was very bland and it seems to be old and the meat was gray colored. Ordered meals and we ordered Streak with Shrimp and a Crab cake sandwich it took about 20 minutes to get the food and when it got there the waitress plopped the plates down and left. She was to busy at any point to ask us how everything was as she was running around in the back room as well as serving us. The Crab cake sandwich was runny in the middle and cold, I was waiting to get it replaced and my meal got cold waiting for the waitress to return, 15 minutes after we got the meals and the table next to us got there ate and left and we are still waiting for our waitress to come back. When I asked to see a manager they said Art had just left and some little older lady said to me to pay my bill and she wasn’t dealing with it. the WORSE food and SERVICE i have had in a long time! Stay away from this place, not only is the food bad the management and service is as well.

We took a little trip out to Oregon to try some of their fancy water that won’t kill you, and were pleasantly surprised by the Oregon Inn at Bay Shore. Three of my companions ordered perch, which they described as delicious, while I went with the large prime rib. I felt like Fred Flintstone when our waitress delivered a huge portion of prime rib swimming in rich, flavorful juices. I ordered mine medium rare and with a garlic rub, which basically means they cover the entire cut with minced garlic — perfect for me, but I thought I would mention that as a warning to others who might assume otherwise. The soups that preceded the meal were also great, as well as the onion rings(start with a small order — these bad boys are gigantic). My side dish, a twice baked potato, was actually served mashed potato style, and they were great. The home fries some of my friends ordered looked good as well. We will definitely be going back. It’s definitely old school, but everything was executed perfectly. I’d like to try some of the more intriguing things on their menu, particularly the prime rib quesadilla.

Went here tonight for our anniversary. Had a 45 minute wait. They actually started turning people away who didn’t have reservations because they were slammed by people from the Toledo area.(There is a total water ban in Toledo today and the town of Oregon, where this place is located, had clean water.) Hostesses and waitress were very nice! We sat outside on the deck. Perfect temperature, no bugs, nice back yard. I ordered sea scallops(absolute fav) with twice baked potato and French Onion soup. When the table behind us got their food, the prime rib looked amazing so I quickly changed my order to prime rib and scallops. The waitress hadn’t put our order in yet! The soup was very good. The scallops were small for being sea scallops. Good sear on them, but could have been a little better. I don’t think I’ve ever said the scallops were under cooked, but… these could have seared a little bit longer. They were still delicious and the lemon wine sauce they were served in was great. The twice baked potato was not a twice baked potato at all. They were loaded mashed potatoes with their skin still on. They were ok. The prime rib was good, not my favorite, but good. Could have been a little more tender. My hubby got a half rack of ribs, house salad with a house made sweet and sour celery seed dressing and a baked potato. The salad was great, with red onion, cherry tomato and half a boiled egg. The dressing was excellent! I would buy a bottle if they had it available. Potato was good. Now for the downer of the night. The ribs were tough and dry. Hubby is a rib connoisseur and he said these pretty much ranked at the bottom of his list. :( We were both very full but since it was our anniversary we splurged an got the chocolate cake to go. The waitress said it’s a huge piece. When we got the bill, the cake cost $ 9.99! Yikes!!! Well it was a HUGE piece and well worth it! Took it back with us, enjoyed it and I plan on finishing it tomorrow for breakfast with a cup of hot coffee. Mmmmm

Surprising find off the beaten path. Good food, large portions, and friendly service. Many of those near us were clearly locals, but that didn’t seem to affect the level of service we got. Not fancy by any means, but a very pleasant dining experience.

Just tried the Oregon Inn today for the first time. Will not be back. Got there on a Sunday around 2:10 pm; they open at 2. Saw the place had a few patrons but mostly empty. After standing at the front not greeted, we eventually had a server come to the front stand and roll her eyes asking dining room or high top. We were looking for a few refreshments and a quick sandwich, something apparently above the skills of the staff. Countless servers passed our table, making eye contact with a scowl on their faces. It took roughly 5 minutes of sitting(in an almost completely empty bar area) before the bartender took our drink orders. We were ready to order at this point, but she walked away immediately and about 5 minutes later another server ran her drinks because the bartender was talking to a regular. Server dropped off drinks and just walked away. About 10 minutes later after the bartender was done chatting with her friend at the counter, then the regular couple at another high top in the bar(only other people there) she finally came to take our order. Mussels for a quick appetizer, a salad for my girl and a turkey rueben for me. For the next 20 minutes nothing… no drink refills, no how are you doing, several scowls from the wait staff however. PLENTY of staff, yet no service. It is hard work showing up to work so they all had to gather and chat with each other shortly after opening. In fact, one of the servers was eating and 2 of the cooks seemed so bored they walked around pouring drinks for themselves(wearing some inappropriate t-shirts too). Finally got our mussels(which were good). The drinks were refilled after being empty for a while and we killed off the mussels. It took almost 20 more minutes for our SANDWICH and SALAD to come out. No drink refills, and when the food came out she walked away and wasn’t seen again for another 10 minutes. I took a bite of my reuben and immediately slid it to the middle of the table. It was 1 thin piece of pre-packaged deli lunchmeat, a tiny bit of sourkraut, store bought rye bread slices, and a WHOLE lot of Kraft French dressing on it. Must’ve been my fault that turkey ruebens come with French dressing now… but the thing was SOAKED in it. There was more dressing than food. Looking at my girls salad it was prepackaged bag salad with maybe 3 small tomatoes added. I could’ve made all of this food myself for cheaper and faster. I looked around in disgust hoping to get it removed from my bill but the only person in the room was the manager reading a newspaper at the bar. She walked by a few times, saw I didn’t eat and the disgust on my face and kept on walking. When the bartender finally came back she asked if I wanted a BOX?!!”!!! I had one freaking bite. I told her it was bad, soaked in French and she sat there telling me that’s how they come. Asked if I wanted something else, I told her I didn’t have enough time in my day to wait on more food and we promptly left, leaving no tip of course. Maybe if you are a regular you get prime service. Must be recognized from the town. However, if you go to Maumee Bay for the day, DONOT stop at the Oregon Inn. I get nicer/better service from the night shift at McDonalds, and the food is FAR superior.

This is a definite 4 star for Oregon, Ohio. In a bigger city, not so much. But for Oregon, it’s the best I’ve found. Food is good. Had the Perch. Very good. Lightly breaded, crisp. Asparagus was overcooked and tough. Service was excellent.

Good food, service was sub-par. Might have been due to fact we were tucked into the back corner(off the beaten path), but our ordered sides were wrong, we received an extra side that wasn’t ordered(twice baked potatoes –which were tasty), waitress didn’t bring water to the table(which we asked for 2x), and we waited on our food and initial bar drinks for quite a while –but we also realize the place was slammed with patrons on a Friday night –glad we called ahead. Inattentive waitress didn’t check on us at all, leaving 3 adults alone with our original drink order(the other adult received a drink refresh that she didn’t ask for –but we were still charged for it). Prime rib(blackened, medium) was good. Garlic mashed potatoes were fluffy, dinner salad was very nice. Fried mozzarella appetizer was fantastic. Would go back again, but the poor service left us feeling empty(and thirsty).

Great food and service. We ordered sandwiches and burgers, all good. My chicken sandwich was slightly spicy, and a big portion. But it looked lonely on the plate. They even had sweet potato fries. We also had the Artichoke Dip appetizer — creamy with big artichoke flavor, with big, fresh chips. We finished that off quick. Be sure to try their entrees. They looked great going past our table. I think that is the way to go. The owner stopped by our table several times, just to shoot the breeze. He said they are known for their Prime Rib. This is a great alternative to the Maumee Bay resort restaurant and other places even further away. If you are staying at Maumee Bay, eat here! I will go back.

Living in Chicago, we don’t have many choices for fresh lake Perch. You would think with Lake Michigan boarding the whole East side of the city, there would be more good choices but that’s another story. Well here you not only get fresh Perch & Walleye, but it’s the perfect batter to compliment this mild fish. Their Prime Rib is of generous portions as well.

With recommendation from the front desk clerk, @ Maumee Bay, we decided to try Oregon Inn on Bayshore for dinner. My husband and I both had the all you can eat Pollock fish dinner special. It came with a salad and one side of your choice. The salad was a very nice size for a side salad. When our dinners arrived, they were huge. I believe that WAS all anyone could eat. It was so delicious and we were so full, we swore we’d never eat again. However, we went back the next day and enjoyed their build your own burgers. We would both recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting the Oregon Ohio area.

Actually the correct name is Oregon Inn On Bayshore. The roast beef eaten by one in our party was so good we went back for a second night. The prime rib comes in three or more sizes but the«small» at 8−10oz($ 13.99) was ample. Price included a huge salad(or soup) and rolls and butter plus a choice of side. We had asparagus and sweet potato fries. Our dessert of choice was Pumpkin Pie which was average. Art Richardson the owner and his staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Open every day, if you are visiting Maumee State Park, which is beautiful, this restaurant is only a couple of miles away.
