After my eyelash lady talked my ear off about how her and her husband go to Bam Bam’s every Saturday night and order enough extra food to eat it Sunday too, I was intrigued. I decided to try it myself. The location looks pretty run down on the outside, with the saddest shabbiest little outdoor seating you’ve ever seen. Once you’re inside though it instantly gets a lot better. I was relieved. The inside is full of wooden picnic tables and vintage signs on the walls. It could have been cleaner but it was pretty decent for a barbecue restaurant. Here’s my issue next, the staff was SORUDE. I mean seriously. I told him I had never been there before and asked him what I should order and he responded with so much attitude I could not believe. I ended up getting a pulled pork sandwich and two brisket sandwich combos. For sides we tried potato salad and Mac and cheese. Our total came to 35 $. On to the food. On each table, you have a choice of two sauces. One is dark brown and it is a classic barbecue. The other is red and I think it is supposed to be spicy? But it isn’t. I stuck with classic barbecue. Both of the meat sandwiches were delicious. The pulled pork is so tender it practically melts in your mouth. However the sides were kind of a letdown. The potato salad was lacking and tasted a lot like pickles. The Mac and Cheese was okay, but just okay. It has a crumbled goldfish on top of it. Bam Bam’s was probably a 4 star restaurant, but I took a star away for how much attitude BOTH employees working there gave me. And hey, why don’t you wipe off your sauce bottles once in a while?

I tried the swatchos(BBQ nachos), now I have to switcho my afternoon schedule because I need to stay close to the bathroom. While in line someone told me I had to try the brisket. I ordered a single slice, and it cost me $ 9. Wow!!! $ 9 for a single slice of brisket. The BBQ rub must have gold dust in it.

Want good bbq? Look NO further. All the meet has a great crunch from the smoking to it before it is dripping down your fingers and chin as well as melting in your mouth. Their Mac and cheese puts all others to shame. I mean, who ELSE would have the idea to smother the top in gold fish crackers?! Their sausages sell out quick, and once you get your hands on one, it’s obvious why. This place has THE best bbq in town.

No better BBQ around!!! The entire Bam Bam’s team continues to impress every time I eat there. My favorite is «J-Black» who I would consider a Pro when it comes to knife skills and cutting delicious meats. He is also one of the funnies dudes you’ll ever meet… just don’t be intimidated by his large stature and natural mad face expressions. He really is just a big teddy bear inside!!! I love Bam Bam’s

First time coming here… Apparently it’s their 3 year anniversary today. This place is amazing. I had the brisket sandwich. Sauces are delicious. Mac and cheese was great… A little too much butter though. I’ll be coming back!

Happy costumers, we catered our wedding through bam bam’s and it was such a success. Everybody raved about it. We love bam bams and are sad to move away from such a great bbq joint

You ever get that itch to just. pack up and leave? Yeup. This is that feeling. After touring around the food scene all over downtown Utah, I felt a grumbling from the bowels of my. bowels. The taste of charred animal flesh, reaffirming the evolutionary dominance of mankind over the animal kingdom. That southern lingo notifying friends and kin that you’re done. Tapped out. KO. Game over. THEITIS. I wanted BBQ! Bam Bam’s BBQ has been on my radar(or in Unilocal terms, bookmark) for quite some time. Why haven’t I gone before? Distance man! It’s almost an hour from downtown! Anywho, if you can grab a super cool Unilocaler to go with you, it makes the trip just a little more bearable. and then you get inside and DANG that is some good chopped beef and brisket! Greasy, fattening, but you know what? It’s BBQ. And that’s all there really is to life, right? Kidding. But the chopped beef(looks like sliced meats) were pretty much the one savory item I’ll constantly be yearning for. One last note Unilocalers — take care not to fill up on the side dishes or beverages! From one Unilocaler to another, make sure you FOCUS on the MEATS! Anywho — hope you enjoyed my dramatic review for today.

In town traveling from San Antonio, TX… This is a little slice of home. Brisket the way it should be and Austin music playing on the radio. Brisket so good feels like I am home in the safe arms of Texas! Orem is lucky to have a BBQ joint like this!

Ridiculously good! I’ve spent a lot of time in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana. This is as good as anything down south, but much closer. Half eaten pulled pork nachos. Mmm…

Is it better than Dickey’s? You betcha. Is it the best BBQ in Utah Valley? I haven’t found better. Is it the best BBQ I’ve ever had? Not a chance. This is Austin-style barbecue and it’s not bad stuff. I had the brisket and the pulled pork and overall had a satisfying meal. The brisket was the better of the two meats. It had a great smoke ring and juicy but not too fatty. It’s clearly had some TLC put into it. I wasn’t impressed with the pulled pork, which is typically my favorite meat. First off, I love a pork that has spent the end of its cooking period already pulled and simmering in sauce. This isn’t like that, but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker – just slather a TON of sauce over it and go to town. But even without the sauce, the pork was just dry, almost as if all of the fat in the cut of meat was trimmed off before cooking it. But there also was no bark, which was a little befuddling because it means the pork was cooked super low and slow and should have been juicy. Perhaps they removed the bark, which is a shame because it’s my favorite part. The sauce was good but not drool-worthy, the bread and buns are pathetic, and the sides aren’t worth getting. Also, the price point for the meats is just too high, in my opinion.

Bam Bam’s BBQ is LEGIT! Cameron apprenticed under John Lewis the greatest Pitmaster of all time. He is also sponsored by Traeger Grills. I ate some of the best BBQ in Houston for 2 solid years and Bam Bam’s can hang with the best of them. We travel to Utah every summer for the 4th of July. Can’t wait to eat me some brisket!

The meat is exquisite! The brisket was all juicy and good … when it arrived. It seemed to take way too long for the few people that were there. I’ve yet to find a side I really like, but the beef may tempt me to keep looking.

The food is aweeeeesome. We shared 1 lb. of ribs and they were fall off the bone amazing! Their vinegar sauce was my choice for the ribs and the darker one was a winner with the mac and cheese. We’ll be back very very soon; best BBQ we’ve had in Utah thus far!

After living in Texas for a couple of years, I have pretty high standards for BBQ. For being in Utah, this place comes pretty close to the good stuff(aka real BBQ). They sell out of the sausage pretty fast(which was so sad, it’s my favorite) and they’re Mac and cheese tasted a little off. However their sandwich was super delicious, get the brisket with fat mixed together on it. Potato salad was dec. For me, I think I was more fascinated by their GIANT Coke machines than their food.

Uh… I would say Bam Bams is overall a 3-star restaurant. I had heard many good things about it so I was very eager to try it. Here is the rundown. 1) The food itself was pretty good. If I had to rate just the meat I would give it 4-stars. I got a brisket sandwich and it was yummy. It was a tad bit greasy and fatty but not over the top so I was fine with that. The BBQ sauces were Delicous. My favorite was the spicy one. The Mac and cheese was alright. I enjoyed the crushed goldfish crackers on the top, but I had to pay extra for the Mac. The Pepsi freestyle machines were pretty cool too. I enjoyed my vanilla Dr Pepper. 2) I didn’t like the price at all. I am not a fan of restaurants that charge you for every little thing. For example it was 35 cents to add cheese to my sandwich. Mac and cheese was a side but cost extra. Overall I got a brisket sandwich with cheese and the Mac and cheese and my total was close to $ 14. I could have eaten three more sandwiches before I was full. So you know the portions aren’t huge. 3) the place wasn’t super clean. The only place to put dirty trays once done eating was on a chair with a paper sign saying, «place trays here.» Overall I will not be rushing back but you wouldn’t have to force me to eat here again.

I have returned to Bam Bam’s a number of times since I first wrote a review of my earlier dining experiences here. I now personally feel that Bam Bam’s is the best BBQ in Utah County. They offer some of the tastiest and smokiest cuts of meat fresh out of their Traeger. I’ve become more and more educated on BBQ in the past couple years and this really is true, Texas BBQ of the best quality. I will say that the price may be a little expensive in the eyes of some, but for the quality and taste you get, it is worth every penny in my opinion. I remember early on that the sides Bam Bam’s offered were lack-luster. That has changed. The mac n cheese, coleslaw, beans, and potato salad are all delicious and full of their own unique flavors that make you feel like your at one of the best family BBQs you’ve been to. Don’t forget the amazing sauces(though, I personally use minimal sauce on my meat for that is what smoking is for). I love all the meats on the menu and don’t forget to load on the pickles and wonder bread!

Bam bams is a very popular local restaurant. I feel like the overall experience is decent. The food is wonderful, tender and flavorful smoked meats, but the service is nothing special. The employees are nice enough, but nothing that«wows» the customer. The food is good, but I still feel it’s overpriced. You can expect to pay between 8 – 10 dollars for each ½ pound of meat that you buy. So one pound of meat would run you upwards of 16 – 17 dollars. As a young guy, I’m going to eat larger portions, and that much for one person just for the meat is expensive in my book. It is BBQ and not steak after all.

I have spent a lot of time in Memphis, TN, St. Louis, MO, Austin, TX, and Columbia, SC in a previous job, and BBQ is my favorite food. I would(and have) eaten it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I have eaten at some of the best BBQ restaurants in the United States. All this is to say that I’m a BBQ aficionado(Some say addict but I ignore them. I don’t need that kind of negativity.) and I know a thing or two about what makes up good BBQ. Now Texas style isn’t my favorite, but that may change after eating here. This is no kidding some of the best pulled pork I have had outside of the south. We went here today for lunch and it was truly excellent. My fiancée had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and was very happy with both. I tried it myself and it was truly excellent. The Mac and cheese side was also very good. I had done a bit of research and since there have been lots of positive things said about it I tried the swachos and I’m glad I did. The combination of BBQ meat and nachos was delicious and was a very generous portion. I will be back for sure the try the other options, but based on my experience today I am more than happy to reccomend Bam Bam’s for some good BBQ

Bam Bam’s has some good food… unfortunately I didn’t quite have it this visit. I think that was my fault though. We came in to a long line of BYU fans getting ready for the big game against ECU ;). The line moved fast and we were ready. My girlfriend and I went with the Swatchos with brisket, a pint of mac and cheese, and some shredded pork. I liked that they get the food ready for you right as you’re ordering. It makes the line last a little longer, but it’s rewarding to get the food right after you order it. We claimed the only outside table and a couple sauce bottles and got ready to feast. Before eating though we found the first ever Pepsi Spire machine that we had ever seen! It’s the Pepsi version of the Coke Freestyle machine, and something I wasn’t aware existed. I was super excited to get some Strawberry Lime Mountain Dew, and to make a bunch of other odd flavor combinations. This was easily my favorite part of the meal and what will guarantee another visit by me. The Swatchos were pretty good at first. The brisket was top notch. Unfortunately, there was just too much nacho cheese. Within minutes the Swatchos were Swoop and I couldn’t really enjoy my meal. It was too bad… and really somewhat my fault. In the future I think I’d love to just get the ½ pound of brisket. The mac and cheese was good, especially with some of the different BBQ sauces added into it. It wasn’t the best mac and cheese, but it was pretty good. The pork was pretty good, could have used a little more flavor though. Overall it was an okay trip that has a lot of potential to be better. I’ll update my review next time I go.

Came here for the first time today. Tried the turkey sandwich & Mac & cheese. The turkey was nice but a bit boring to have only a turkey and bread sandwich. There are pickles & onions for you to add yourself but that’s still not enough for me. The Mac and cheese was great but it tasted like there was crushed cheese its on top. Kinda strange. It’s almost identical to Dickey’s BBQ, except this place is actually edible. Referred here by a friend who spoke highly of it. I wouldn’t mind coming back.
