Easily the best barbershop I have ever been to. The owner is a great barber! I would recommend to anyone who appreciates a great haircut.

Asked for a pompadour and they completely cut out and blended the part in my hair, completely ruined it. I would have stopped them but they just faced me at a wall instead of the mirror so I had no idea what was going on. Won’t ever go back.

Derrell is one of very few people that I trust with my beard. Derrell has been cutting hair for longer than most other barbers have been alive. His attention to detail is second to none.

Best barber Shop in Utah county. I always ask for Nick. This place is always busy but worth the wait.

I hadn’t had my hair cut for over a year and decided it was time for a change. I have been to other chains in the past and have not had the greatest experience. I found Derrell’s Barber Shop online and tried it out. Overall I was very satisfied. The Barber knew what he was doing, took his time and paid attention to detail. I will be back when another cut is in order.

You could not ask for a better haircut or experience. I’ve been to a lot of places in Provo/Orem and I’ve spent my fair share on overpriced haircuts. Darrell’s Barber Shop get it right. The atmosphere is what it should be in a barber shop. You don’t have to sit through the enlightened conversations of Utah hipsters. You walk in, no appointment, and get the perfect haircut for $ 16.

Darrell is probably the best BARBER i’ve been to. He has techniques that made my hair look better for longer than other barbers I’ve been to since I was a kid. He’s a dying breed. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, sitting there with the Greatest Generation getting a haircut, felt like I had gone back to «the good old days», a real time machine. Only criticism is that he wasn’t great at changing the cut to match my requests over time, he’s the best at what he does, and that’s what you get.(He never said that, it’s just what I realized.) That’s not to say he only does a single style. I saw him cut other clients hair very differently than mine, I’m just saying you can’t micro-manage your cut with him.

Best haircut I have received in quite a while. Don’t get sucked in to going to one of the local chains because they offer it for $ 7.99. Derrell provided me with a fantastic haircut and you can’t go wrong with the straight blade on the neck. He wasn’t as much concerned about getting me in and out so he could serve the next customer as he was about making sure I looked good. I will be back.

Awesome barber shop with great quality haircuts, hands down. I got my haircut done by Jaime and he was very experienced and knew what he was doing. All of the barbers working here were very knowledgeable and experienced. Derrell also has a lot of barbering related wisdom to offer if you are interested in that sort of thing. I left the barber feeling very confident that my hair was looking dapper. The cuts are affordable, but tip ‘em well would ya’. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good olé fashioned barber haircut.

This is the best $ 15 you can spend. Derrell is old school and I, for one, love it. He takes his time and you walk out feeling like your man-card is intact. He just asks how you’d like it cut and then goes to town. I love his collection of old barber chairs and it’s good to put your scalp in the hands a guy who knows how a straight-blade is meant to be used. I found my permanent barber…

Derrell is a true barber. One quick glance at your nappy head and he knows more about your hair than you ever will. You make some weak suggestions about what you think will look good on your dome, and he will turn that water of a suggestion into a fine wine of a haircut. If you want to be pampered and treated like a proper lady, go somewhere else. If you want to look and feel like a man, go to Derrell’s.

Derrell’s Barber Shop is one of the few ‘old time’ shops that holds onto the ideal of customer service and excellent value. It is perfect for my father and love to go and sit and watch while they do their thing. Would highly recommend this shop!

In the land of beauty schools that take 3 hours do to make your head look like it was caught in a lawn mower and hair chop shops that last no more than 6 months and take only 5 minutes to give that lawn-mower-look, this is the man-hair oasis! It is relaxed, friendly, and above all, a good haircut. I haven’t felt as comfortable in any of the places in Orem or Provo as I have at Darrel’s. the prices aren’t bargain basement, but they shouldn’t be, because those places don’t care what you look like when you leave. That being said, 15 bucks is a great price, and I think it should be 20, so I tip to 20. Stop going other places and feeling anxious about whether you’ll be home for dinner from your noon haircut.

$ 15 for a haircut and $ 20 for a shave. Very well spent! Derrell was super friendly and personable, and immediately knew my hair better than I do. I have a difficult double-cowlick in the back that he was able to mask better than I’ve ever been able to.

Best Men’s haircut in Provo, hands down. Cash only. Derrell is a low-key, gruff but caring hair cutting genius. He has been doing hair cuts since before most stylists in Provo knew what a pair of scissors were, and it shows. He takes a great deal of pride in his work. If you want a REAL education on what a mens hair cut should be, go to Derrell. In fact, just ask him about what makes a good hair cut. I will say it is a bit pricey for students, but not too pricey if you really care what your hair looks like.
