This is my favorite place to go for a frozen desert. Their flavors are perfectly balanced. They have cut back the sweetness a bit, so I can actually enjoy the flavor and not get hit over the head with sugar sensation. The gelato for me is way better than ice cream. I can enjoy a whole serving and not feel overwhelmed.

The flavor of this place blew me away! It was interesting to see gelato done as a soft serve, but the consistency is pretty close to what you find in real gelato out of the states. The establishment is pristine and the staff are friendly. We loved the variety of flavors– our faves were the toasted almond(AMAZING!), lemon(REAL lemon, so tart!), cheesecake, and pink grapefruit. We were amazed at the powerful flavor packed into this delicious frozen treat — toppings not required! It is so hard to find real quality gelato stateside, I wanted to jump for joy and shout«Eureka!» Will definitely go back when next in town. Prices were really reasonable.

Dolce Amelia has some of the best gelato in the Provo/Orem. They are a family owned place with friendly employees. They will happily let you try all of their flavors that they have at the time. They get new flavors probably once a week and they are all worth a try. They also have a chocolate sauce that you can put on your gelato for chocolate lovers. Highly recommend this place.

Dolce Amelia is amazing. Best gelato in Utah County. They rotate through different flavors every time ton go, and all the flavors are incredible. They are happy to let you try as many as you want! I love the chocolate sauce that you can put on top, and the raspberry flavor is incredible. There is a lot of seating, and it is extremely clean. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Last time they threw in some free hot chocolate! Love Dolce Amelia. Will always be back for more!

So for the longest time, I’ve heard everyone raved about how awesome this little gelato shop is, and for the longest time, I’ve just ended up forgetting about it. Finally had the opportunity to check them out. I had sampled most of their flavors and they are all very good. However, I would recommend to stick to the creamier flavors as they are incredible unless you are into sorbet since most of the fruity flavors are technically sorbets. The caramel and green apple is a delicious combo so if it’s your first time or if you never had it, I would highly recommend it. It’s a potential five star. Will have to come back a few more times just to be sure.

To put it in simple terms, this place is phenomenal. I was greeted immediately by the owner, who told me all about gelato and how he learned how to make it in Italy. He was super nice and really funny, and he urged me to test every single flavor before making a decision. I’m sure that the flavors change frequently, but I got half Mascarpone(sweet cream cheese) and Salted Caramel, and wow! It was soooo good. The chocolate sauce is a must, it really tied all the flavors together. The temperature of the gelato was perfect as to release all the flavor, not too cold like most ice cream. Long story short, go here. You won’t be disappointed.

Really delicious. The owner let us try every flavor and even gave us some we didn’t ask for. He explained where the Flavors came from and what ingredients he uses. One thing to say about the Flavors are spot on!

If you close your eyes, you cannot tell the difference between this gelato and the gelato in Italy! Dave has mastered a way to serve gelato through soft serve frozen yogurt machines! I was super impressed and will come back soon. He also gave out tons of samples. Everything from the chocolate to the lime was great! His special chocolate sauce is a much for chocolate lovers

Dolce Amelia is a must-try spot. Their gelato is served out of frozen yogurt machines, but don’t let that fool you, it is the best gelato I’ve had since living in Italy! Dave is the owner and he puts all his care into developing real and outstanding flavors rather than just trying to present the gelato beautifully like most other gelaterias. Staff are friendly, and if Dave is in, he’s always great to chat with and takes pride in his product. Recommendations: Dark Chocolate sorbetto(made with 5 different chocolates from around the world). It’s hands down the best frozen chocolate treat I’ve had. You must also sample the toasted almond, salted caramel, and natural pistachio. If you like tart, get the lemon if it’s available… just like lemon gelato from Italy. Flavors taste fresh and natural… no artificial taste! If you appreciate simple but sophisticated flavors, this is the place for you.

Gelato done right. This is well worth the visit. I would travel many miles to come again. They have ten different flavors including pink grapefruit, red orange and lime(my favorites). I am a sucker for the sweet and tangy flavors. I just went tonight and I am trying to figure out how to make an excuse to go again tomorrow. Stop what you’re doing and go… you won’t regret it!

Obviously I am not a Gelato fan based on the reviews. The gelato was ok, but I would much rather have some creamy ice cream. Both flavors we had were good. We liked the rich flavors(salted caramel) more than the fruity ones.

I go by this place all the time, but it’s always during times it’s inconvenient. Today was the time the wife and I needed something after a bad lunch elsewhere. The soft serve initially seems odd, but in the end it does work out. Even though it looks like it came out of the machine over at the DQ, it’s really an excellent texture for Gelato. It’s what I’d want even if it was scooped. The flavors are nice, the owner is really friendly. It could be 5 star like everyone else is handing out, but I’ll need another trip, or two.

Great little nook in the wall place for gelato. It’s all made there, variety of flavors and some meet different dietary needs like gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free. Not that you could tell a difference. The service is friendly and they let you try lots before you have to settle for anything. Highly recommended!

Oh. Wow. Stopped in on an impulse and now this might be my new favorite place! Sampled the Marscapone, Mint, Toasted Almond, Milk Chocolate, «Tasia» Lemon, and Strawberry. The fruit products are actually sorbetto and not made with dairy. Flavors are rich and amazing, far better than serve-yourself fro yo places. The lemon was really tart, more so than expected but still fantastic. The mint was a little strong. We ended up with a Neapolitan-ish mix of strawberry, milk chocolate, and Marscapone. They also have candy, cookie, nut, and fruit toppings, along with warm syrups. Flavors switch out nearly daily so I look forward to coming back and trying more.

While living abroad on an internship, I spent about 2 weeks exploring Florence and Venice, and devouring every cup of gelato I could possibly find. So I have fairly high standards, having tried some of the best Italy had to offer. Dolce Amelia exceeds these standards; it’s the highest caliber stuff I’ve had in the years since living in Europe. I measure gelato places by how well they do pistachio, and theirs is perfect. It’s fruity and aromatic without being too sweet, nutty and creamy without feeling too heavy. And the service was quick and friendly. I think I’ve found my new«treat yourself» spot, especially after long and frustrating days at work.

After spending weeks in Italy, I’m extremely picky with gelato. This is the best I’ve had since! I had the salted caramel with chocolate hazelnut, topped with Dave’s sauce. Friendliest service around. Coming back soon!

Great flavors, awesome owners. I think we tested every flavor more than once before we finally decided. Definitely the best Gelato in the Valley.

The flavors are amazing! Every time I go there is something new and delicious to try. Dave, the owner, is great but don’t mention frozen yogurt in his store or you’ll be out in the street! One of my favorite flavors is the salted caramel topped with Dave’s Special Sauce. Always delicious. I can’t recommend this place enough. If only my gelato budget were larger!
