Michael’s is my go-​to place for anything crafty. The prices are fair, you can typically score a good sale, and you leave inspired.
This store has a pretty large, covered walkway displaying various sale items. Definitely peruse this entry to cash in on some great things at a very low price.
The employees are very friendly, the store is organized (even if they are packing it all in), and the checkout process is a cinch. It’s in a great location near the mall off of University Parkway.
Next time you have to make a candy bouquet, wrap baskets, or just get some colorful crafts for the kiddos, stop at Michael’s!

This place has everything. The customer service walked me to the things I was wanting to find. Definitely earned my business.

Like most other Michael’s store, they carry a variety of crafting supplies be it knitting, sculpting, painting, flower arrangements, etc.
The store isn’t exactly the biggest I have seen, but it’s not itty bitty either. For most things, you should be able to find it here. Stopped by a few days ago to find a Itoya FinePoint Systems pen, which they didn’t carry however the clerk who helped me out found another similar type that would work. I always appreciate when someone actually goes to look around in other aisles rather than just saying: «Sorry, that’s all we have.» without even trying to look or suggesting another product.
For knitting, like most other Michael’s they mainly carry acrylic yarn and none of their yarn is all that interesting. Always nice to go to Michael’s for some decent scrap yarn deals however. :)
If you knit with beads or into beading, they do carry some Japanese glass beads here, rather than the cheaper Czech beads, in a wide variety of colours, however it’s tiny tubes for like $ 2.79 each (depending on gauge).
I believe they have a fabrics store right next doors, but when I came here during first week of Feb 2010, there was a sign saying they had a Close out sale. Not entirely sure if they carry fabrics in this store, and if they do, not sure how much.
