Rising Suns Basketball Organization

The Rising Suns are an basketball organization consisting of Asian girls and boys tournament teams from grades 7 – 12. They participate in the Asian League in Northern California and the tournaments occur in the spring after the middle and high school basketball seasons end. They play other Asian League tournament teams in tournaments hosted by the participating basketball organizations.
The Rising Suns are a well organized and well coached group of teams. The games are very competitive, but the parents are well-​mannered and supportive of the players.
The Asian League tournaments are also a very social occasion. The host team often puts on a dance for the players at a local hotel ballroom. The host team also sells delicious home-​made snacks at the games. Many of the snacks and lunches are Chinese or Japanese meals.
