My ex and I were out and about after a Sunday afternoon movie. We stopped at the mall — I to shop at Tuesday Morning, he to have his hair trimmed at Lady Janes(while he waited for me). He’s not Unilocal and I am so I am letting youse guys know about his hair experience. He waited about 2 minutes after he signed himself in — and had a gal named Michelle trim him. He has poker straight thinning hair and he usually looks like Alfalfa after haircuts because of his cowlick — not THIS haircut! And he got a scalp massage besides. His hair is neatly trimmed, his sideburns(?) are level and well trimmed(Hurrah!!!) he didn’t complain about having to wait for me(remember — shopping at Tuesday Morning?) and was happy that his hair looks good! Michelle was chatty without being a chatterbox — he sort of zoned out in the chair while watching one of the six thousand football games on tv. He usually gets his hair done downtown for BIG bucks — he was very pleasantly surprised that he got away with a haircut for under 20l — downtown he usually spends 45 and isn’t nearly as happy with the results. I guess he will be «visiting» more frequently — Hurrah? — at least when visiting he won’t be shaggy! Thanks Lady Janes!

Overall a great atmosphere for men to relax and get a cut. The entrance is lines with lounge chairs that face a wall of tvs showing various shows to entertain while you wait. They have a innovative self check in computer for new and existing customers. Now the cut itself. The reason I went here was due to the lack of detail I have experience at other retail haircut facilities in Orland i.e. great clips, sport clips, super cuts, etc. I say attention to detail because my hair is thick and«grows in various directions» so I have been told at other shops. I often have to fix my own hair once I get home because of some missed hairs. After reading the initial review of this place I was excited to try a new place in the area. That being said, I went in to get the sides of my hair done nothing really off the top as I’m trying to grow it out. I felt as if the stylist was in a rush. Quickly ran through the sides of my hair with clippers and I couldn’t tell if it was even cause of how far the mirrors are from the seats. I’d rate the cut at a low C(hence the 2 star). She went high on some spots and the clippers even hit some of the hair at the top cause she was just whizzing through. In the back she missed a spot in the back that I had to fix. And for the rough cut they try to make it up with a shampoo and neck shave… I’d rather have them take their time with the cut than do all that other crap. If you aren’t particular about your cut or have simple hair styles this place is like any other haircut place in the area. I think for a cut its $ 13.00. I may just be too particular but I like feeling confident about a haircut. I may give this place another try but the chances are slim.

BOOM. Someone found a new place to get their ears lowered… this guy! BTW, that’s how the cool kids say«get a hair cut» Walk in and BAM! lounge chairs and TV’s as far as the eye can see(which isn’t very far since its right when you walk in, but there are a lot of them). And there are even remotes lying around so you can put on my little pony… ahem…aherm…cough.I mean sports center. Then they have these damn comfy barber looking chairs. Where did they get that idea, crazy, but it works. The girl that cut my hair was real friendly like and talked enough but didn’t force me into conversation just to keep the silence away. POW! There was also a TV at the station so I could pretend like she was my wife and ignore her and watch ESPN while she was talking. But be warned, the smile and nod technique is not recommended while getting your hair cut. Just an FYI. But the best part was after the hair cut and beard tightening(that’s more hip talk) the shampoo turned into a 10min scalp massage!! KABOOM! I know and the best part was that it was still only twenty some odd dollars. The only thing that could have made this better would be a liquor license. Because a shave and a haircut and a manhattan, I’d pay three bits for.
