If you’ve never tried threading, then let me be the one to tell you about the process. My first disclaimer — I think that waxing is super painful, hence the fact that I was looking for an alternative. I was reading a blog talking about threading and the chick said that the pain level is not much worse on threading vs. waxing. Like the moron that believes everything she reads on the internet, I decided to do it. This blogger either has an enormous pain threshold or I have zero because I thought threading hurt like an absolute B.(I barely made it through the process alive.) She was trying to do my eyebrows, lip and chin and she couldn’t get all of my chin because of me squirming. However, she did a fantastic job on my brows and lip. The last time I got it waxed, I was really upset because the girl barely used any wax and ended up plucking most of my brows. Hence, they grew back in a few days. The pro to threading is there was no plucking at all — all threading — so I’m expecting this to last a few weeks before they start to grow back. If you’re wondering what threading feels like, it’s as if someone is pulling your hairs out one by one with a pair of scissors. Waxing is one rip and the pain ends so I find that far easier to endure. Beauty hurts! The lady working was super professional. Usually, the waxers get so impatient with me and start to get an attitude. She never did and I KNOW I squirmed at this 10x worse than my waxing appointments. Also, I noticed that it seemed very sanitary and the booth was immaculate. She gave me clear«after care» instructions and let me know when I’d need to come back. Pro tip: they do take cards, but they prefer the tips to be in cash. For lip and brows, it cost me $ 16.
