I truly feel lucky to have Sophia’s in the area. To be honest many places around here have good food, but Sophia’s is even better. It is our goto place for breakfast and we even order their food to go quite often.

The food wasn’t horrible at all. The prices were reasonable. The only thing that I wanted to point out was that the server we had wasn’t attentive at all. She was nice but she walked past out table more than a few times as she could clearly see that we were all done with our meal. I counted 4 times she passed by and looked but didn’t say anything or asked if we’d like the check. Other than that everything was fine. The waiter was very nice tho.

Very impressed! Décor is very modern and it is very well lit inside. Service was exceptional, all waitresses seek to work together regardless of who’s area you’re sitting in.(Only mentioning this because it always drives me crazy when you ask a waitress for something and she says ‘let me go get your waitress). I had some of their chicken dumpling soup and it was delicious ! Our breakfast came out quicker than expected and it was also delicious, I would definitely come back !

Had breakfast/lunch today and the food was just so so. The service was very good. I had an omelet, my husband had meatloaf and my dad had the French breakfast. My dad was the only one who enjoyed his french breakfast. Not too sure if I’ll come back. If I do, I’ll for sure try something else on the menu.

Ehh little better then Bolingbrooks, not much. Bolingbrooks was nasty, the manager acted like an idiot and wouldnt even consider any problems brought up. A chain is a chain, and this place is similar, gravy is barely warm. Didnt realize its part of the same chain as Bolingbrook, definately better better places to eat.

Wow!!! I haven’t been here in quite some time. It’s bright & clean. No gluten free bread, but they do have GF pancakes or waffles… I had a Spartan Omlette, which was excellent! Fluffy, and made with 5 eggs. Hash browns were a bit overcooked & greasy. I’d definitely go back…

Came here for the first time not that long ago for lunch on a Sunday. It was fairly crowded, but we got seated right away. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches and we pleased. The cream of chicken soup was also good. Will probably come back.

Great food! My favorite is the French breakfast, gives you the best of all worlds, eggs, French toast, sausage, and bacon. The wait staff is also amazing, super fast with food and refills. Can’t say I’ve ever had bad service or food here.

2nd time here. First time during weekend brunch. Food good for all 4 in my party. Service above average that time(2 weeks ago) This time(solo) late lunch, not busy. Had to wait 5 mins to be seated(5 feet from door) while hostess spoke to a customer about a future reservation. 2 waitresses were standing behind counter talking. After sitting for a minute placed the order. Cream of broccoli soup was tasty. No napkin at the table. Had to get up and go to another table for a napkin. Burger came. Looked good, fries well done as requested. Started eating the burger and needed another napkin but waitress was not around. Saw her a couple of minutes later, waved her down and asked for a napkin. Overall food above average, service below average. The waitress dropped off the bill while walking by.

I’ve been here a dozen times, I’ve brought my family, friends and bf here and they all loved it just as much as I do, hostess is always nice and fast to find you a table, tables always clean, fast service and a 5 egg signature omelet to die for. Price is reasonable for the amount of food you get and they make darn sure you walk out of there full and satisfied! I live 25 miles away from and I still don’t mind the long drive. Great place to have a nice breakfast.

We have been here maybe 40+ times. The renovations inside have made this an even more warming experience. Monte Cristo is still my favorite but the Alaskan Waffle is a close second

We love this place. Been there 20 times now. Always good food. If you want fluffy pancakes with eggs or steak for breakfast or lunch, go. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff. Orange juice is as fresh as you can get. Keep going Sophia’s just the way you are.

Food wise I liked the chocolate chip pancakes, you can’t really go wrong with that. Service wise it could be better. I placed my order over the phone and when doing so I got a lot of attitude from the person taking the order. She couldn’t hear me say ‘an order of chocolate chip pancakes’ after I repeated it over 5 times and was still getting attitude and it was like I was wrong in this because she can’t hear me. I would like to come back when I’m the area again, but there service just sucked.

«All my Tinley Park, Oak Forest, and Orland friends, Do you know Sophia’s pancake house on 159th and Harlem? Well I will never go there again! The owner/manager caused a scene with me yesterday because I had Gaza(my service dog) with me and I wasnt blind. It was so upsetting the way he talked to me… I couldnt belive it. He was refuseing me service because of my dog. I got up and walked out and called the police, and of course by then it was „just a misunderstanding“… I was so embaressed, he was arguing with me in front of all these people. I am boycotting this place and hope you do too!» Found this and wanted to share-UNBELIEVABLE

One of the better breakfast and lunch spots in the South burbs. Consistently good food and friendly service. Been going for years, will continue to do so.

If it serves breakfast all day long and it’s tasty… game on! Here’s the skinny: As Aforementioned BREAKFASTALLDAY Good service and food was tasty & came out quickly The ONLY reason place didn’t get a 4th star: Bathroom = SMELLY Here’s the fat: Ever just feel like breakfast… here’s where to go for breakfast at 1:00 pm. It’s served all day long, hot and fresh. Not bad pricing either, today I spent $ 10 plus a $ 3 tip on the Chef’s Crepes and a Coffee, might sound spendy but, there’s a lot of food on that pâté. I love me some breakfast, all day everyday. I had an order of the Chef’s Crepes, there’s a choice of Blueberry, Strawberry or Cherry topping. You can pick one OR do like me and take one of each. I’m going to be as forgiving and honest as I can be… The Crepes were seriously good, soft and fluffy and a nice texture. Fruit topping was A-OK too, I liked the fresh Strawberries a lot. Here’s the thing though, the Chef’s Crepes are sour cream filled, when ordering I thought it’d be the fruit and sour cream mixed together and then wrapped up in a crêpe… whoops. The fruit was on top and the crêpe was filled with only sour cream, straight sour cream. Like nothing but sour cream and, there was a lot of it. To remedy the sitch, I did what I normally do and instead of complaining, I just squeezed it out a bit. Whence there was a lot less sour cream it was a perfect meal. Real quick about the service, purdy good. My waitress was quick to take my order when I was seated and ready, water was there right away and she brought that life give concoction called coffee. Mainly a senior crowd during the day it seems so the waitress had to talk to them a lot(in unison: Awww). I’m thinkin’ that’s why she was a weeee bit slow on the coffee refills but, it’s cool. Here is the one and only reason I cannot give this place more than 3 stars. The bathroom(men’s) was obnoxiously smelly… like gag reflex smelly :/I just got done eating a good meal and then THAT greets me as I go to wash my hands and leave… It was a mix of mildew/stagnant dirty toilet, my olfactory glands were NOT amused, alas… maybe it was only today, maybe something absolutely TERRIBLE just happened in the stall. I hope so because Sofia’s is a nice place to sit and have some breakfast. I’ll be back sometime probably the next few weeks, we’ll see how the men’s room sitch is then. SYOY
