Even though I am not plus-size, I have large feet so that was my reason for visiting. They have a lot of wide sized shoes and if you are a size 11 you can fit into their 10W shoes easy. It is hard to find shoes for big feet when you are female(Broadway Shoes is another good one for that). I believe for clothing they are size 14 and up and they also have a web site with more options than what is in the store. Pros: They were so affordable and fashionable in a classy but stylish way. I liked almost everything I could buy which was the jewelry and shoes. Some of the shoes were ugly(big jewels glued on the front of ballerina flats in every single color) but almost all of the jewelry was big, bright and chunky. They had a big clearance section and I bought some tan platform shoes for 10 bucks. I bought a cute silver dangly bracelet that I got some compliments on. I didnt look too closely at the clothes but just from glancing it seemed like clothes that you could wear to work that would make you look professional and appropriate while still being stylish(which I think is hard to find). I liked the bright colors of their skirts. If the clothes were in my size, I would definitely buy them and I am picky. Cons: The staff approached me instantly when I came in — when I told them I was just looking they walked away. When I was ready to leave, I wandered around the register but no one even looked at me. I had to stand there for about five minutes before a manager told the clerk next to her to go help me. The clerk told me «hold on» and then took some time to put away clothes before helping me. None of the people who worked there wore outfits to stand out from the crowd and I didnt like that too much. I thought the manager was just shopping and I wasnt a fan of her not coming over to help me. They are a good sized store but probably operate by word of mouth so I was surprised at how lax they were in helping customers.

Another one for the plus size girls. Avenue is the polar opposite of Torrid. Their clothes are stylish, but much much much more conservative. Here you will find granny pants mixed in with a cool pair of jeans. The prices are better though, and they have cloudwalker shoes in the store that go up to at least size 12, double wide. I shop here for shoes more often than not, but the clothes also provide a good staples for your wardrobe. I don’t find the staff to be particularly helpful or courteous which is why they lost a star.
