This is a GREAT park. We held our son’s birthday party there and have had several play dates at the splash pad there too. The splash pad and basketball court are both in prestine condition. The park is clean, well-maintained, and has stuff for kids of all ages. We look forward to going back.

Park is very clean, ducks in the pond under the bridge. Splash pad area nice and spacious. However, the playground is NOT covered. I went with my toddlers and the temperature was 82 and the slide was very HOT. I decided to leave once they could not play.

In the middle of nowhere! Lack of restaurants makes this location inconvenient for family drive.

I have been searching the Orlando area for the perfect park to have my son’s birthday party at. There are lots of great parks here in Central Florida, so I had a lot to consider. I thought I found one a few weeks but when I called to reserve the date they informed me that they weren’t booking until after August because their reservation system is being replaced at that time. Really? They are giving up an entire Summer of revenue because they don’t want to use the paper and pencil system until the computer program is replaced. I find that odd and silly. But most of all it was disappointing because I had to continue my search. Luckily, I stumbled across Bithlo Community Park. The crazy thing is that Bithlo Community Park is only 8 miles from our home. How have I not heard of this place? We went this weekend to check it out. Conner had a blast! So this is where his birthday party will be. The Pavilion went rented is huge and is right next to the playground as well as a large open field that we can use for the pirate games. Now I can really start planning birthday #3!!! There are two play structures. This one was Conner’s favorite because of the wire tunnel and bells. There is also a large sand box with digging toys right next to this area. And there is a swing set with 4 swings(2 regular and 2 baby). After a little bit of playground time, we grabbed a picnic table and enjoyed lunch. The best part is that there is a new splash pad! Unlike several other splash pads in Orlando, this splash pad is also free. We had it all to ourselves for about thirty minutes! Conner had so much fun and of course did not want to leave. Someone had left their bucket so he enjoyed filling it up and dumping it out, repeat.

This summer a brand new splash pad opened up at this park! The splash pad takes this park from drab to fab. The splash pad is free and is guest activated, so if you go and don’t see the water on, that’s because you turn it on yourself!(there is a button on a pedestal when you come into the gate). This is a great place to bring the kids. I haven’t used the other facilities myself but there are also covered basketball courts and a pretty cool looking skate park in the back. Of course there are playgrounds, as well.

A Little place to go? The best thing about Bithlo seriously has to be the volleyball courts. We all live in Florida, but it’s not always convenient to go to the beach every time you get the inkling to spike a volleyball. Bithlo Park also has some other resources including some fields where the local little league teams play ball. But those aren’t really useful. No, you come to Bithlo for the volleyball, plain and simple.
