Good food but nothing special! Nice staff and I wanna thank them for the nice service but prices and portions are ridiculously priced! No complimentary bread??? One bread is $ 4.5 ??? Seriously? I’m writing this review and I’m still there, I’m very mad and regret being here and will never repeat it again! Thanks Again and to be honest, good food but nothing special!

Delicious! Had the babaganoush and also tried the mixed sampler, with the puffy lavash. Great vegetarian options. The server was SO lovely, too. Highly recommend!

Fabulous food, great service. Casual to moderately dressy with moderate prices. This was our first night in town, and this restaurant was mentioned as a «locally owned favorite» I an article on Epicurious. We had the wonderful hot, fresh lavash bread, hummus and stuffed grape leaves for an appetizer. The bread is enough for 6 to 8 people — we still had more than half of it to bring home. The bread is amazing and my husband loves the grape leaves, although I wasn’t a fan. The rice stuffing was brownish/purple — not sure what made it that way. I think what I didn’t like was the raisins in them. For dinner, we shared the meat sampler platter for two. It had chicken and lamb each prepared three ways, along with rice pilaf and slaws made with carrots and cabbage. Way too much food for two(not that I’m complaining!) and it tasted wonderful! The Turkish seasoning was great.

The service received was great! Our server took attentive care and refilled our drinks– many times, and made sure we had everything! I ordered the okra platter I think? Nonetheless it was an okra dish with added lamb. The flavor was delicious but I truly wish more okra was added. I didn’t get very many and they were pretty small :( The lamb was just alright in my opinion, I wished it had more seasoning and width it was softer. The rice pilaf though, yum! I could just eat that all day– it’s super savory(literally, #hearteyes) I also shared the hallow bread and it’s delicious! Will get it again! The next time I come, I wish try their lamb shank!

This place is great and Nikki was an excellent server. Have been to the Winter Park location many times and enjoyed it. This experience was exceptional. It is in a strip center but we ARE in Orlando so get over it. The atmosphere is nice inside — tight and cozy. We had lavosh bread which is delicious and such a cool presentation — with hummus and an eggplant appetizer. That was nice. Both of us ordered the lamb shanks. OMG. They say they cook them for 5 to 6 hours, then they make a great Turkish sauce. Oftentimes a lamb shank is overcooked, this was tender with texture and the sauce was incredible. Even the carrots in the sauce had texture(not mush). Yum. Had to try the Turkish coffee which was great. Again great food and wonderful service. We’ll be back.

This will be a mixed review. Went here for a Mother’s Day dinner and were pleasantly surprised that, while busy, they were able to get our table ready for our reservation early, as we all arrived early. The staff was extremely friendly and personable, so kudos to that. The food was excellent. Never trying Turkish food before, I was very hesitant but always open for new. My fiancé and I shared the«Mixed Grill for Two» as it had a variety of meats, a large large large helping of carrots and beets. The food was excellent, great flavor and very filling. We also shared the appetizer sampler with the Lava Bread. The LAVABREAD! So amazing a giant loaf filled with steam, excellently paired with the variety of hummus and dips. The downfall comes with the price. Very expensive. You look at $ 25-$ 30 per plate. While you’re getting a large portion and good food, seemed expensive for the overall experience. The restaurant is tucked away in a Publix strip center and is tight. The tables are literally stacked on each other to optimize the people in the building, but it seems too much to enjoy. Goodbye private conversation or moving easily. Overall a great experience and food, just hit the wallet hard and the tightness of people. Great for a special occasion.

We visited this very nice small restaurant with great energy on a Saturday evening. The wait staff was quick and attentive. Our meal consisted of lavas bread, a hummus appetizer, stuffed cabbage rolls, the Special Beyti, and baklava. The lavas bread was very appetizing. Fresh, hot, and a perfect compliment to the rest of the meal. I would definitely order it again. The hummus appetizer was average and on the smaller side. There was nothing inspired about it. It’s basically the same hummus you had a thousand times. Next up were the entrees. The cabbage rolls were outstanding. Perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and topped with a savory tomato yogurt sauce. This is a dish definitely worth trying. The Special Beyti is basically a lamb kebab wrapped in tortilla and covered with the savory tomato yogurt sauce. It’s almost like a tiny Turkish London broil. It was served with rice pilaf, pickled beets and cabbage, shredded carrots, and a tomato relish. The pickled vegetables were a very light and tasty offset to the lamb. We both liked this dish very, very much. I highly recommend giving this one a try. We finished up with two types of baklava for dessert. They both seemed very much like something made from scratch. Overall, the entrees were fantastic, the restaurant was clean and pleasant and the staff were quick and attentive. This is a restaurant we would certainly visit again.

We love this place and we drive at least an hour to come and it’s so worth it. We always get the Haydari, lavash bread, Doner, Beyti & pistachio gelato. All food taste excellent! Definitely recommend to everyone.

Solid tasty food run by a lovely team of friendly folks. Tucked behind the swirling madness on International Drive, they have a quiet outdoor coveted seating area. The White Bean Salad with red onion, tomato, basil, parsley, paprika etc was our favorite but everything was fresh, tasty and came quickly.

This is my first review of any establishment because of my line of work I eat out quite frequently… so needless to say I’m very critical of food, service and accommodation. I came across this restaurant by accident! The food is delicious(I don’t drink any alcohol, therefore my taste buds have not been desensitized or altered by the presence of alcohol… therefore my judgement of food is pure and the way it was meant to taste) There was an oversight as far as my food order was concerned… I called the server and explained the oversight and she couldn’t have been any more professional, accommodating and genuinely sorry. Then few minutes later the sweet manager came out and apologized so genuinely and even comped my meal(she did it on her own, she even offered me another meal) The staff at here at Bosporous is beyond exceptional… this is the type of service that had been missing and even lost in regular establishment. I would come back to this place and would so highly recommend it for those who want to try Turkish food with warm and genuine service Keep it up ladies and gentlemen you’ve got what it takes to succeed in this global world

The patio was very nice when the weather permits. The lavash bread appetizer is a must but expect to take some home unless you have three or more people sharing it. The portions are generous. I ordered the ground lamb wrapped in tortilla with red sauce and yogurt on top. It also came with a cold medley of vegetables. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious everything was. I ordered Turkish coffee to complete the evening as I did not save room for baklava. Great place for authentic Turkish food. I highly recommend this place.

Gave it three stars just for the food and the company I was with. We went for a late lunch around 430pm. We made reservations just incase since there was 5 adults and three children. When we arrived there was maybe two tables taken inside, I asked to be seated outside since we had three boys with us. The hostess soon to be our server had set the table for us. We were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive so she let us know it was happy hour which was half off beer and wine. I asked if they had a kids menu she stated no but they have fries and chicken tenders I said fine he will have that and three waters. She brought our waters out as my friends arrived she gave us a minute to look over the menu. She came back and asked if anyone wanted appetizers of course the lavas bread was a must it is a mound of bread and when you break into it the steam comes out, yum. Sorry no pictures my phone had died. I asked the server for her suggestion since she never asked if we have been there before which we have but would’ve been nice to hear any specials or what she liked on the menu since it had changed. She suggested the chicken adan she was not wrong it had enough flavor sat on top of a bed of rice and side of pickled cabbage and carrots. The flavors of everything was a great combination. She wish I knew her name she never told us didn’t ask how everything was nor come by to check on us only when she saw us done with our meals. I had to ask for some more water for the table and Togo boxes. She gave us our check and gratitude was already included alot more than what I was going to leave for the lack of service there was. Will I be back probably but not for awhile for 80.00 for two people without drinks or appetizers I would rather get sushi.

The food here is awesome-sauce. My family goes for special occasions since it is pricey. We sit outside since the inside is very small and stuffy with cooking smells and the like. Orlando weather has been great for sitting outside. Considering the price and higher-end nature of the restaurant, I’d expect outside seating to be a bit more formal. The service is okay, but again not exactly what I would imagine with a higher-end restaurant but it is sufficient. We get the lavash bread, falafel(so good, so crispy), bhuvesh vegetarian curry, and the lamb kabob. The rice has vermicelli noodles in it — ITISAMAZING. The pasta gives it a buttery taste that is out of this world. This place is certainly repeat worthy, but for my family just for special occasions. Tip — Costco has discounted gift cards!

Still in hunt of a good Iskandar. The iskander: is good, but their sauce taste like prego, they said it is made in house. The iskander is a littel bit dry, they need to add more butter. The use real turkish bread in there iskander not pita bread like others. The cigar is really good. Really recommended. Service is good with no long wait time.

This review is the dreaded one. You know, the one where you really want to give four, maybe five stars? Then you reflect and realize just how disappointing your experience was. So, I’m going to start with the not-so-great just because if I end on a good note it leaves the door open to consider a do-over. Here’s the deal, no matter where you go this type of food always has a somewhat fairly high price tag associated with it. Always. Good, bad or indifferent you’re going to pay more than what you’d normally spend on a different ethnic food. Suck it up and deal with it. We don’t mind paying more money for great food and great service. So, let’s touch on the service side. This restaurant proves that higher prices definitely do not equate to quality service. The service is an epic failure here. It can not be blamed on being short staffed because the amount of servers far exceeded the number of diners. Since it was our first time here, it took us a tad longer to make a selection. With no service to provide suggestions, it made it even more difficult. That being said, after roughly 15 minutes we prevailed! Phew, the hardest part was done! As a party of three, I ordered a soup and requested it to come out as my entrée with my dining partners order. Didn’t happen. Okay, get over it. After some time the other two meals arrived. Our server did the fabulous disappearing act thereafter. Waiting for water refills is one of my biggest pet peeves. I. Do. Not. Like. It. I guess after a while of making eye contact with another server(not ours) and our water glasses taking up residency at the end of our table he felt obliged to come to our rescue. Thank you sir! Our server was far too occupied as she passed our table far too many times, never making eye contact and not even so much as a glance in our direction. I’m thinking she was far too occupied texting in the rear of the restaurant by the computer. The good… actually, the great! The food is fantastic. We had a lovely spot in our former hometown that was my absolute favorite. On many levels, the food here was so much better. That darn bread is to die for. So much so, we ordered extra to take home. The bread alone is heaven! I’d go back just for the bread even as a to-go item. I think my only wish I that they would offer more than one beef selection. Please, you offer chicken and lamb in multiple variations so it would be even better if the beef was as well! You know the saying«Where’s the beef?» Yup, that’s what came to mind! Long story short, great food with higher prices deserves better service!

Come for the hollow bread(lavas)! It can feed at least 3 people and is amazing. That’s what got me to come here. The place is located in a little shopping area off Sand Lake near World of Beer and a few other places. It’s a small restaurant and can get crowded — around 7 though you seem to be able to get a seat. The lavas and hummus are a perfect combo and started. Their hummus is smooth and simple– nothing crazy going on there, but it’s good. We split an order of the doner kebab which was perfect — really yummy full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Thin, a little crispy, and perfect on rice — or better — same some of the hollow bread for it! Comes with some lightly pickled veggies — onions were my favorite. Service was great and staff was very friendly. They have a few different beers and wines to choose from as well as normal drinks(soda, tea).

Compared to a couple of the other Middle Eastern and Mediteranean places that have come and gone in the Dr. Phillips area, this one has always been towards the top. Always freshly made with generous portions and great flavors. Haven’t had a bad meal here yet. My must tries: Cold appetizers Lamb kabobs Veggie sauté Pistachio ice cream Baklava

I’ve been here twice now… Today for my birthday. The least I can say is that this has been a consistently gourmet experience. Every order had been prepared with care with really fresh ingredients. The lavash is aromatic and buttery, the lamb sauté a savory delight and the Turkish style pizza so decadent, I was glad to be turning 30 for a moment. I loved that the bosphorous mule cocktail was served in a copper mug, and that I got a free birthday dessert baklava with a candle stuck into the whipped cream on top. Recommend!

I’m rounding up from a 3.5 experience. I like the interior space of this restaurant. We were a group of six going for lunch and were seated in the center of the restaurant. Our party ordered a variety of entrees and from the time we ordered until the time we actually received our meals, multiple tables on either side of us had ordered, received food, ate, paid, and left. Our server was nice enough but he went missing. When we tried to flag a different waiter down, they always said our original one would be with us. Okay. Not the best customer service, and this is why I knocked a star off. Our meals arrived and I shared a lamb sis and a kofte. Both were good; I liked the pickled cabbage and rice too. I tried a small piece of a friend’s lavas bread and it wasn’t as good as others I’ve had. Otherwise, there’s not much I could complain about. The long wait for lunch left me starving and I inhaled everything, so I may have overlooked some things.
